The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network works to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crimes.
(Updates with Financial Crimes Enforcement Network explanation in fourth paragraph.)
If they try to make bitcoin useless for those things, does that make the value zero (so no taxes) in those situations?
Or are they promoting bitcoin for those use-cases as a valuable payment system, so it can be taxed accordingly? confused now.

"the end goal was to have one node controlled by Calvin Ayres" Just cruel.
On the bright side, with two nodes a 51% attack is not possible.

Similar issues without Tor.

https://gnews.org/miles-guo/
Miles Guo is saying 100% it is a bioweapon [...]
There is evidence that many rich, connected people inside CCP had fore-knowledge of the event [...]
That site doesn't look very independent. Still, from technical analysis of the virus it is clear that a natural mutation is very unlikely. It is also likely that it has been going around for much longer than claimed, so rich people could have been aware for much longer that the shit hit the fan. That still does not prove the release was intentional. It is also pretty clear that any official numbers could be off by a factor of 100 or more, based on workload at coroners and that people passing away at home are not counted, not tested and not picked up by a coroner.

The rest is just speculation and does not really matter as what we do know is more than bad enough. for humanity, the world economy and especially the Chinese exports. If the virus can really survive for months depending on circumstances, expect countries to lock down imports in ports for a year or two while the virus lifetime is investigated. people don't like it when there shipments stay in ports for a year with a high likelihood of being incinerated after that anyway.

I really hope the infection spread slows down when people learn how bad it really is, and become more careful. And that more effective treatments are found.

new WOT drinking game
take a shot every time we cross $10K!!
What if we cross it once and never go back to 4 digits? I suggest a shot at every mined block while above $10k.

Well, in a subjective reality it depends on your beliefs. If you team does it, it's great and good and wise fiscal stewardship. If the other team does it, it's deficit spending and robbing future generations, and a symptom of evil greedy money grubbing people.
When your team does it, it grows the economy (sure, measured in that currency) and creates jobs (and hides that banks are bankwupt).
When the other team does it it is keeping a currency artificially low and causing a trade deflect.

Worldwide google searches for Coronavirus appear to have peaked so hopefully we reached peak epidemic and everything gets better from here on out. Google trends has certainly been a good indicator for Viral Bitcoin bubbles ending.

Id like to put this in the past and focus on the road to 100k 400k Cheesy
I am amazed at the scale of the artificially created disease ... It's wild.
My girlfriend works as a pharmacist and she told me that over the past few days they have sold face masks more than in the previous few months. One man himself bought 500 face masks  Grin Grin Grin
P.S. I live in Ukraine, this is eastern Europe
Forget about fiat, gold and bitcoin, face masks are the new currency!

This is getting boring. The usual slow and steady +1%/day over the last 30 days and 100 days to reward halving.

The middle of the desert seems to be the place to be.
Deserts have snakes. If you want high radiation without bats, snakes or other wild animals, Mars is a good option. The low atmospheric pressure and therefore the need for pressurized spacesuits also help keeping bad stuff out, unless you share habitats, then all bets are off.

I sometimes wonder what would happen after we press that "yes" on the new IRS form (which is weirdly worded for starters).
Sounds like a tool to separate the wheat from the chaff.

new IRS form?

Bitcoin is very real so "virtual currency" must be fiat.

Count down -

Reward-Drop ETA date: 12 May 2020 23:38:25
We are almost at 92% of the 4 year cycle. I find this halving particularly interesting because from that point less than 2% of new bitcoins will be created annually.

There have been very few halvings and the circumstances in the precious ones where quite different. I think this means we have plenty of excitement ahead that is not priced in at all.

Most of you are legends, ...
Legendary status correlates to making many posts, so legends are more visible which skews your observation :-)
But not everyone has time to make that many posts and this place treats new and old readers equally for the most part. Even if you post really dumb shit you will need to be very persistent before getting put on ignore. Have fun!

I thought Greece was bankrupt and had no money?
Only the state and banks where bankrupt. The population was enjoying the low taxes and early pensions.

I Googled it, and found this:
EURion constellation
I covered the pattern and it worked! Bank note copied! Now I can go buy some MOAR BTC. Yeah!
I was thinking about a new company logo and this would be an interesting feature....

yeah, you watch the price creeping up for an entire week and then it starts to accelerate und you smile everytime you check your mobile and then you watch again like in 10 minutes and BOOM... the entire week wiped out.
Still up 8% over the last 7 days.  1% or 2% a day is plenty, no rush. (252 days to supply halving)

Good news for Dutch Bitcoiners when they want to cash out.
I'm a bit worried about the big limit. It would be the perfect opportunity to include house and pension, which are now exempt.
Paying taxes over actual gains instead of fixed 1.2%/year is new for the Netherlands but brings us in line with the rest of the world. I hope the free limit is also for investments, not just savings accounts at government mandated local banks.
Anyway, I hope to hit that limit with just 4 BTC  soon Cool

Wikipedia is seriously lacking list of worldwide plaza's, indexed by pavement patterns.
Surprisingly, Google AI also isn't autistic enough to care about the patterns.

EDIT:
This one in Spain looks very similar, but not beg enough:
