124  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: I didn't pay capital gains tax on bitcoin sales to IRS today on: April 21, 2014, 04:36:51 PM
OP needs to learn, holding bitcoin is tax rate of ZERO. but holding fiat in his personal account after selling the bitcoin. he needs to pay tax on that fiat gain.

but i do agree people are silly when it comes to saying "bitcoin is doomed" and here is why

1. people will find other ways to not need FIAT, thus not needing to claim FIAT gains
2. the IRS wont care about useless / worthless items. IRS have categorized bitcoin, thus it has proven bitcoin to be a valid store of wealth.

I thought tax was based on mining, transaction, and capital gains of fair market price? So it doesnt matter? Or am I incorrect?
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I do mining with a normal PC? on: April 21, 2014, 04:34:36 PM
Not for bitcoin. U can mine cpu only coins with it.

Well you can mine any coin technically, as CPU can do anything. It is reccomended that you mine CPU coins, as its a more "fair" playing field so to speak.

127  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: If EVERYBODY but me would stop mining ... on: April 21, 2014, 04:31:30 PM
If difficulty is low, and YOU are the only person mining.... thats not quite decentralized is it? Also if difficulty is low, 51% attacks be easier so if this were to ever be implemented it should only be allowed if you have like 50 th/s or more
128  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: best cloud mining site on: April 21, 2014, 04:29:48 PM

But SI  unit of pressure is Pascal ?

So?
Can't you make up a better response than "so"?

What that response could be ?
Perhaps a more elaborate and thought-through question that would keep the conversation going rather than abruptly killing it?

Why didn't he think so before typing so ?
Oh, how I wish I could fully understand the human brain. Isn't it one of the most interesting subject you can think about?

human mind is trying to understand itself but why it couldn't ?

You just proved your own point?

In a capitalist state the big corporations is the most powerful entity even on top of politicians.

Show me who makes the money and I care not who rules the country. Something like that, pretty sure butchered the quote....
140  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: April 21, 2014, 02:35:15 AM
Aren't people often pressured by their peers to say no to peer pressure?

Would that be called anti-peer pressure?

Is that what you want to call it? Or do you have something else you could call it?

I think correct term is positive peer pressure?
