121  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Profitable Bustabit/dice Scripts that never fail. on: August 19, 2019, 06:55:34 PM
I am trying to understand how the scripts works and what makes them profitable. Don't you think betting with scripts breaks Casino company's TOS?
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 19, 2019, 06:38:22 PM
This is dumb. Even if cryptocurrencies don't exist, you don't spend  all your cash. You put your cash to work either as an investment or in a bank with high interest and then you set aside cash for expenses.

You should spend cryptocurrencies as well as hodl a portion.

You made some sense at the end of your post. Yes, I am a believer in spending some and holding some too. It is called "savings"
123  Economy / Speculation / Why Bitcoin will Hit $100,000 in or Before 2022 on: August 19, 2019, 09:51:13 AM
Do you agree with me on my prediction that Bitcoin price will hit 100k before December 2022?

This upward movement will be fueled by People's sentiment and other important indicators. I also have a strong believe That no single person nor single policy is capable to bring the price down, rather the price is decided by the people's sentiments.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin and the games industry? on: August 19, 2019, 06:44:07 AM
There is no serious relationship between Bitcoin and Gaming other than processing payments. Any other blockchain nonsense is just a useless innovation that may never fly nor be adopted.

As for Casino, Bitcoin has made the casino gambling more accessible and easy to play with peace of mind.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 11:57:00 PM
Man I have sold my 0.1 BTC when the price was wayy too low , it was even lower than 3k $ , unfortunately my mobile phone broke and I actually had to get a new one and I was too shy to ask someone about the money , therefore instead of waiting I sold at a lower rate , it's just investments and even if you would have to ask people for money even when you have it gets preety ... Sad ...thus I think it's fine only .
Don't regret decisions you made when you needed money or were scared that it might crash ... It happens.

Thank you guys for the thoughtful comments. I don't regret selling the Bitcoin and will never regret even in future. They are still more to be made and spent.

It really solved my problems at that point in time and I was so happy I sold.
126  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2020's gonna be lit!! on: August 18, 2019, 09:30:31 PM
There is doubt 2020 is going to be a great year for Bitcoin Investors. Libra could add to the spice but Regulators may never let is happen. And I don't trust Facebook
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 03:51:08 PM
Impressive and I just could not help to send you 5 merits out of 6 sMerits I had.

What is so Impressive in that OP statement? Bitcoin is not only currency, and it will never be just that, from DAY 1 it is also store of value. Most of people use it just as store of value, some for short-term trading, and one small percentage for payments. Market is have circulation in daily trading, and ordinary people cannot be guilty for the reason that they have nowhere to spend their Bitcoins.

Only way I see people can affect the merchants to accept BTC is to ask them to start accept Bitcoin as a means of payment, but so far they have good reasons to say no. This situation will maybe change in future when LN is become something usual and easy to use.

Since OP is did not respond to my post and answer on some logical questions, I consider this thread as nice (and working) attempt to collect easy merits.

You are really something else bro. You assume a lot and it's not normal. I need some Merit to rank up, there's nothing wrong if you give me some Merit, but that is not the reason I wrote this post.

Anyways, I have answered all your questions, you can go back and read them up.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin need to be a currency? on: August 18, 2019, 03:44:22 PM
Bitcoin should be used for payments. That's the only way it can be viable. Anything outside of that is a waste of time.

I will keep saying it, the current trends of holding and never let go will only cause more harm to Bitcoin. I won't mind becoming an activist in this  Grin Grin Grin
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 03:33:54 PM

You coins, your decision - I don't think finding other people's opinions in situations like this really matters. But I do not get one part of your story, you work in Dubai, and you get pay for your work? So why you did not use that money to take care of your family? From what I see you work and get pay in BTC, now you are sorry that you had to sell that BTC in wrong time?

You had an option to sell only 1 BTC, but for some reason you sell both - there is no way back now. Maybe you will make a new business deal again and get some BTC again, it is never late to invest in BTC.

I think you are worrying yourself over nothing.

First, this post is not in anyway a complaint thread. I only made the post to encourage others who may be feeling bad for selling at a time they consider the wrong time. Please, go back and read my original post again.

Secondly, you don't know me, you don't know my problems and how big or small they are. So, it will be foolish to try and estimate how much that will solve my problems, problems you know nothing about.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 03:20:09 PM
No, I have nothing to regret at all. I wrote the post as encouragement to people who may have sold their Bitcoin at lower rate and it later bumped. I was trying to let everyone know that there's no better time to sell, that anytime you sell is a better time, provided you use the proceed for something meaningful.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 02:58:16 PM
~snip~

As I say before, problem is in fact that it is not easy to spend Bitcoin, it can be use in our daily life only if we convert it to fiat - is such way of spending help to more adoption? Even if I pay directly in crypto ( and I buy some things from time to time), most merchants are using payment processors so crypto is just convert in fiat, and they just trade those coins on exchange for profit.

Real adoption would be that you get your salary in crypto, and that you can pay almost anything with crypto. This type of adoption is not real adoption, but Bitcoin is only 10 years old, it can not change the way money works in such a short time.

I expressed my doubt about this thread, and after I looked OP history i found some interesting posts like this one :

I've just invested $60,000 to acquire dot.com domain name, and another tens of thousands for betting software and licenses.

So do you think in story about hungry family and need to sell 2BTC to feed them, and few months before he is spent $60 000+ on some betting site which should make a bunch of money so far?

That venture was the reason I moved to Dubai after loosing so much money in the project. There was another post here at Bitcointalk were I posted how a script vendor duped me into non workable Sports betting script and make me lose a lot of money. Even now I am still trying to bounce back.

In the post, I wrote a review about the script vendor and how they frustrated my venture. There was another post too where I detailed how I lost my premium domain. You don't need much research about me, I can tell you everything you need to know. I also discussed much about my venture at NamePros.com (where I am a VIP member) and how I plan to bounce back, bigger and better.

Cheers!
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 02:52:11 PM

You sell 2 BTC at $3000, which means you get $6000. Is the cost of living in your country very high? why don't you try to sell only what you need, not all of it, you won't use $ 6000 in one day right? So I mean, you can still enjoy trading and bitcoin increase for several weeks.

Yes, cost of living, plus other family expenses, plus my own cost of living in Dubai (which is pretty much expensive) are the reasons I just decided to sell all. Right now, I am running a small organization that assist those who are in need and prevent them from selling off their most valuable assets just to survive. I am hoping to help as many as I can.

I'm definitely going to watch out for Jeeps now.

I bet you have too. Strange Jeeps everywhere.

135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 11:52:46 AM
While that may be true, you still need to understand that Bitcoin is supposed to be money, not investment asset. It is meant to be spent on daily basis, to solve problems, and to be in constant circulation.
Big surges and drops in price are driven by pure speculation. Long term, steady, and sustained price increases are driven by adoption. If everyone in this space did nothing but hold and never use bitcoin, adoption would cease, growth would reverse, and the price would fall. The price depends on people using bitcoin, and those who do nothing but hold it aren't contributing to its growth.

As you say, bitcoin is first and foremost a currency. Use it. Spend it. Talk to merchants and retailers about accepting it. Pay your friends with it. Replenish what you've spent by buying or earning more if you don't want to deplete your stack. Spend more time learning and discussing why it is better than fiat, rather than just talking nonsense like "When moon?".

You got the point 100% correct. Without the usage, adoption would be slow or even ceases completely. Turning Bitcoin into an investment asset is not healthy to the currency. At least, while we hold some little percentage, let's release the bulk into circulation.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 11:29:17 AM
so my question is, do you have BTC again?
regret always comes later. why do you sell everything if there is a choice to sell half of it?

Yes, I still have some tiny pieces here and there but nowhere near the 2BTC. I had no choice to sell half and leave half and there was no means to raise dollar loan. Don't forget that getting loans to hold on to Bitcoin is risky too, because you never can tell (for certainty) the direction it will go at any point in time. So I had to sell all to meet my needs.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 11:21:00 AM
Impressive and I just could not help to send you 5 merits out of 6 sMerits I had.

The idea of hoarding Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, waiting to sell at later times for higher returns is the reason Crypto is slow to be adopted in mainstream transactions. Anyone who gets it try to hold on to it, as long as possible, thereby depriving the market the needed circulation to keep these currencies viable and acceptable.

This is a hard call even I am also mostly trapped here. I do sell my BTC when needed but most of my coins are in hold with this hope that price will spike and I will sell them then.

I think us the community needs a completely different mindset, culture to grow to help Bitcoin to be used for daily life trade. Those who believe in Bitcoin they can buy it whenever they will have cash and instead of spending from the cash, spend Bitcoin when a merchant accept it.

Yes we have high fees, transaction delay etc etc are there but once we start using it for daily life trade then I think we will get used to it. Perhaps people will accept Lightening payment more seriously.

Thank you @Royse777 for the selfless gift. I am truly grateful for the appreciation. And for understanding the context of my post  Grin Grin

If Bitcoin is to thrive, we are the ones to drive that adoption by pushing it into the mainstream commerce. While holding it my be profitable in a short term, It may not be good for the over all Crypto growths. We need to let loose and free it into circulation. After all, Bitcoin is money, and money comes in and goes out on daily basis.
138  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bernie Sanders goes viral on the Joe Rogan Experience on: August 18, 2019, 10:38:00 AM
I see Sanders rising sharply in the Democrats primary poll before Mach 2020. His policies resonates with the millennial and young educated Whites, as well as Blacks and some Hispanics. Biden (to me) is not a credible candidate as he has plenty of unpleasant baggage that Trump could exploit and shred him into pieces.

Warren seems too weak to go all out against Trump in a soon to be heated and tensed campaign. While Harris is nothing but Hillary Clinton 2.0. So, to me, Bernie Sanders is the only credible option to reasonably challenge Trump.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 08:17:09 AM
I got the 2BTC from a business deal around January this year. I knew that Bitcoin was going to bump anytime soon but still went ahead to sell at $3,000+ each. Why did I sell at such a ridiculously low rate when I could have gotten x3 of the value if I waited for few more months?

I was away in Dubai for work while my family were staying back home in my country. They were 100% dependent on me for food and sustenance. Allowing the BTC to sit in my wallet while my family suffers was not an option. So, I decided to sell and solve my immediate problems, to feed and cater for them. Did I make the wrong or right decision?

Well, no doubt I would have gotten $20,000+ if I retained the coin till now, but what if my family died of hunger? Money is as good as the problem it's able to solve. That's the lesson I want everyone to learn this. Very too often, I see people advising not to sell your Bitcoin, that you will gain more if you hold on and sell at later times. While that may be true, you still need to understand that Bitcoin is supposed to be money, not investment asset. It is meant to be spent on daily basis, to solve problems, and to be in constant circulation.

The idea of hoarding Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, waiting to sell at later times for higher returns is the reason Crypto is slow to adoption in mainstream transactions. Anyone who gets it try to hold on to it, as long as possible, thereby depriving the market the needed circulation to keep the currency viable and acceptable.

I once heard of a man who had Bitcoin and was sick. People advised him to sell and get the needed cure but he decided to endure the sickness and wait until the price goes up. He died of the illness and the Bitcoin was rendered useless, with no one having access to it.

Have you ever sold your BTC at low rate and it later bumped and you were regretting...?

Just understand that there is hardly a better time to sell your Bitcoin. Anytime you sell (at any amount) is a better time, provided you use the money wisely.
140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just got into BTC on: August 18, 2019, 12:24:27 AM
Where is your fears coming from? Is the fear of loosing your Bitcoin to hackers or the fear of the price falling sharply?

If you are afraid of loosing your Bitcoin to hackers as you are not ready to exchange now. If that is your problem, the best way to store your Bitcoin to avoid hackers is on a cold wallet. Believing you already know what cold wallet is, I will recommend you get Trezor because that is what almost everybody is using. It's easy to use and 100% secure.

If your fear is about the Bitcoin volatility, all you need to do is to keep your eyes open to the market trends. Follow the daily price indicators. As soon as you begin to notice any sign of sharp falls, that may be the time to make your decisions as to whether to keep or sell off.
