I am on Telegram trading group what are making daily trading .His life is not sleep and is divided by short and long btc. Very nice people guided by one of the best trader but is very often that they are losing his life
I think that you have good choice and thanks for sharing your experience

You made a great choice buddy, health is wealth. Please, tell us more about the Telegram Trading Group. What do they do and how?
Healthy is wealth but you must not depend to anyone because they can give you any signal that can make you lose money, a very risky way of investing I believe. I do sold my bitcoin at a cheaper price but i don’t regret doing that, i choose that and I know selling your bitcoin is always ok depends on your needs. Buy and sell at your own and trade responsibly its like drinkih alcohol for sure.
I agree. If we are working 24 hours without minding our health can cause also our failure. Actually, it is good to invest first in ourselves because if we will not love our life then probably, we don't become endure in any challenges that we take.
For op, we should wait for more time because we don't know in this industry when it will rise or goes down.

The likely reason why you consider it a loss is cause you were paid in bitcoins and not fiat. You were paid $6000 for the job (in bitcoins). It's not yet an investment until you consider it so.
A lot of people had the ability to buy at that time and make profit, but didn't, cause they did not know of bitcoins, were not interested or did not have spare funds. The latter is your case.
Only invest amounts you do not need at the time, and can afford to lose

Impressive and I just could not help to send you 5 merits out of 6 sMerits I had.

What is so Impressive in that OP statement? Bitcoin is not only currency, and it will never be just that, from DAY 1 it is also store of value. Most of people use it just as store of value, some for short-term trading, and one small percentage for payments. Market is have circulation in daily trading, and ordinary people cannot be guilty for the reason that they have nowhere to spend their Bitcoins.

Only way I see people can affect the merchants to accept BTC is to ask them to start accept Bitcoin as a means of payment, but so far they have good reasons to say no. This situation will maybe change in future when LN is become something usual and easy to use.

Since OP is did not respond to my post and answer on some logical questions, I consider this thread as nice (and working) attempt to collect easy merits.

Your family is important than any other thing in this life. Whatever you earn is for them and yourself. So, if you had to sell Bitcoin for them you had to. There is nothing wrong about thinking about them first.

Do remember that what goes around always comes back around. This time you might have missed the opportunity but I am sure you will get more in the future.

Carry on Hard work and fate will help you in the future.

Did I make the wrong or right decision?
You didn't make a wrong decision because you have to send the money for your family. I guess that many of us will do as what you did because family is the number one that we need to support. Don't regret it because I am sure that you can be able to make more money or bitcoin in the future as if you can try to work hard.

Have you ever sold your BTC at low rate and it later bumped and you were regretting...?
I already sold my bitcoin at a low rate because my situations as you and I need that money to buy my daily life and to pay my expenses. I already have seen that in a few hours after I sold my bitcoin, the price was bumped at the higher price, and that makes me said well, that is not my lucky day to get more money. I can accept that, and I realize that it was what happens in the cryptocurrency and I don't know for what will happen later.

I sold lots of btc on lower price too many times before and even in the future without thinking what would be the price later but never had regrets, uhm a little when the price spike. But I really need to spend it at that time so I need to. I would not wait for a long time to sell those if I really need some important things to spend it.

The same thing happened to me around March of this year...I had to let go of my Bitcoin all because I need the money to help a family start his own business and though deep inside I am regretting that move I find a consolation seeing that the business is doing good. I agree that holding on to Bitcoin is one of the many reasons why we still have to see massive adoption by the general population but there is nothing we can do on this aspect as it is anybody's right to "invest" into something and speculate.

Threads like this one make me laugh. I am someone who sold more than 30 BTC back in 2015 for $200 per coin (after losing some 30 BTC in 2013 to a scam). You got at least $3,000, but back then I got only a fraction of that. If I had held on to my coins, then I would have been a millionaire now. Luckily for me, I didn't sold all of my coins and I still have some remaining in my wallet. But it can be very tough not to remember those times and imagine what could have happened had I held on to them. So my advice to you is not to get dejected or disappointed. Accumulate as many coins as possible and wait for the next major bull run, which is going to happen sometime in 2020 or 2021.

I think it's wise for you to do that. I mean, i will choose my family over money too, so if they're starving and i only have bitcoin to save them, then why should i think about the possibility of the profits i may have if the price went up? As long as we live, we can earn money again and again, money can be find, but family won't. That's what my mom taught me, so don't worry you did well.
Although some people might think it's such a pity because you loss so much from 3000 to 10.000, it's not a small amount of money but still value your life more than you value money. I myself never regret something like sold btc and the price then went up. It happened all the time, but i don't regret it because i stick to the decision i made and trusted.

What is so Impressive in that OP statement?
The circumstance of the selling point.

Arent't you and me and most of us hodling our coins with the hope that it will hit the moon and then sell it? Was it really the idea of Bitcoin?

Bitcoin was created to use as a regular currency, to replace the centralized fiat. Since the day one it was not expected that the tx fee, tx confirmation time will be an issue but as we are going we are facing these kind of things which turning us to believe that it's not a currency for daily life use.

We are waiting for a time when there will be no fiat but cryptocurrency. Anything you want to buy? Pay with crypto. Anything you want to sell? Accept crypto.

We need a solution here so that we can faster the tx confirmation time and lower the tx fees. LN may help in the future or may be we will find something else to resolve it.

We talk about adoption while we are holding our coins as much as we can, including me. Is this adoption?

You sell 2 BTC at $3000, which means you get $6000. Is the cost of living in your country very high? why don't you try to sell only what you need, not all of it, you won't use $ 6000 in one day right? So I mean, you can still enjoy trading and bitcoin increase for several weeks.

Yes, cost of living, plus other family expenses, plus my own cost of living in Dubai (which is pretty much expensive) are the reasons I just decided to sell all. Right now, I am running a small organization that assist those who are in need and prevent them from selling off their most valuable assets just to survive. I am hoping to help as many as I can.

~snip~

As I say before, problem is in fact that it is not easy to spend Bitcoin, it can be use in our daily life only if we convert it to fiat - is such way of spending help to more adoption? Even if I pay directly in crypto ( and I buy some things from time to time), most merchants are using payment processors so crypto is just convert in fiat, and they just trade those coins on exchange for profit.

Real adoption would be that you get your salary in crypto, and that you can pay almost anything with crypto. This type of adoption is not real adoption, but Bitcoin is only 10 years old, it can not change the way money works in such a short time.

I expressed my doubt about this thread, and after I looked OP history i found some interesting posts like this one :

I've just invested $60,000 to acquire dot.com domain name, and another tens of thousands for betting software and licenses.

So do you think in story about hungry family and need to sell 2BTC to feed them, and few months before he is spent $60 000+ on some betting site which should make a bunch of money so far?

That venture was the reason I moved to Dubai after loosing so much money in the project. There was another post here at Bitcointalk were I posted how a script vendor duped me into non workable Sports betting script and make me lose a lot of money. Even now I am still trying to bounce back.

In the post, I wrote a review about the script vendor and how they frustrated my venture. There was another post too where I detailed how I lost my premium domain. You don't need much research about me, I can tell you everything you need to know. I also discussed much about my venture at NamePros.com (where I am a VIP member) and how I plan to bounce back, bigger and better.

Cheers!

Well, if you are really in need at the time you sold it at 3,000 then there is nothing to regret. You can regret if you sold your Bitcoin out of emotion and nothing more. You said that you used the money for your family. Family is better than profit because you can get profit anytime but family... I think there is nothing to regret about your decision since it is for your family.

No, I have nothing to regret at all. I wrote the post as encouragement to people who may have sold their Bitcoin at lower rate and it later bumped. I was trying to let everyone know that there's no better time to sell, that anytime you sell is a better time, provided you use the proceed for something meaningful.

You coins, your decision - I don't think finding other people's opinions in situations like this really matters. But I do not get one part of your story, you work in Dubai, and you get pay for your work? So why you did not use that money to take care of your family? From what I see you work and get pay in BTC, now you are sorry that you had to sell that BTC in wrong time?

You had an option to sell only 1 BTC, but for some reason you sell both - there is no way back now. Maybe you will make a new business deal again and get some BTC again, it is never late to invest in BTC.

I think you are worrying yourself over nothing.

First, this post is not in anyway a complaint thread. I only made the post to encourage others who may be feeling bad for selling at a time they consider the wrong time. Please, go back and read my original post again.

Secondly, you don't know me, you don't know my problems and how big or small they are. So, it will be foolish to try and estimate how much that will solve my problems, problems you know nothing about.

Family is everything and there is no comparison even for the best diamonds in the world though, you do something right when the family needs you, I also sell under $3k if at that time my family needs it

You are really something else bro. You assume a lot and it's not normal. I need some Merit to rank up, there's nothing wrong if you give me some Merit, but that is not the reason I wrote this post.

Anyways, I have answered all your questions, you can go back and read them up.
