121  Other / Meta / Side chains are here to stay on: February 02, 2020, 08:43:55 AM
>..<

It shows that there is interest in the topic, and it is spread across several boards at a variety of levels. I believe that there will be more posts about Lightning, and associated projects, if they had their own home, and I would probably be one. In my opinion, Lightning is an important project for the unbanked, and others seeking an alternative to cash. It offers them a way to build a small savings account that is free from the fiat system
122  Other / Meta / Re: Don't you guys think it's time for LN to have it's own (sub)section now? on: February 01, 2020, 05:47:35 PM

The Lightning Network is not centralized.

My bad - I'm such a long term believer in Bitcoin that I haven't been able to bring myself to spend any yet.

Centralised or not, I still think it would be useful to have a board to discuss these fast payment side chains, I know I need to find out how to accept payments through Lightning.

Sounds like a great way to spam and gain link pop without the mods noticing it. Smiley
124  Other / Meta / Lets have a side chain sub-board. on: February 01, 2020, 05:20:49 PM
A lot of people seem to think that it is the blockchain that gives Bitoin its value, but it is the developed Bitcoin economy that give it security and value. The miners nodes and wallet holders provide security and basic use,but real growth id coming from the associated services such as brokers, exchanges, and derivatives traders. The 10 minute block generation average time will stop Bitcoin itself becoming a volume payment service in the global markets, but the centralised side chains lile Lightning can provide this service. I believe they are essential for Bitcoins growth in the future, and therefore it would be useful to have a discussion board for them. Not just for Lightning, but for all of the side chains. It could be a child board for Bitcoin discussion.
125  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earn Bitcoin with Phone or Computer by using apps on: February 01, 2020, 04:19:47 PM
If you are trying to mine Bitcoin blocks, the find out the total miner's hash rate that the moment, and divide it by the hash rate for your phone. That will give you an idea of your chances of earning anything. Of course, that assumes that the mining pool is honest as well.
126  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus 2020 important info on: February 01, 2020, 04:01:58 PM
I've been researching this virus quite a lor, and I'll probably start a cui bono thread about ti.  Some of the facts tht I find credible are-

The incubation period is up to 5 weeks, and symptoms may never appear if you have a healthy immune system, and manage to neutralise the virus.

It is asymptomatic, and this means that it is infectious before symptoms appear, and after you have "cured" yourself.

The virus replicates itself through RNA and not DNA, and this means it mutates rapidly and frequently. This will make it hard to develop pharmaceutical products to neutralise it.

It seems to be man made, and developed from the SARS virus. SARS killed people too quickly, and this slowed it spread. They have learnt from this, and the coronavirus is a much longer term project. People with weakened immune systems, such as the elderly ( pensioners ), babies ( there are unlikely to be jobs for many of them when they grow up ), drug addicts ( possibly not the most productive members of society), and those who rely on pharmaceuticals and vaccinations, and thus have weakened their immune systems.

As the most unhealthy of the developed nations, The US should be extremely concerned about its arrival in America. This virus may well be the reason that vaccines were switched from being beneficial to being eugenics tools.

Remember that I am not a doctor, or a biologist, but just someone who ties a number of facts together, and doesn't believe that everything is a coincidence.
127  Other / Off-topic / Kuffy is Jet Cash working on his cui bono project. on: January 31, 2020, 07:53:57 AM
I thought I would remind you guys that Kuffy is my non-crypto sobriquet. I've started my cui bono project, and I will probably make a few post here about some of the items in it. The one I am working on at the moment is the misinformation about cholesterol, and obviously I will include Bitcoin and Brexit in the future. "cui bono" is Latin for who benefits, and it is a techniques used in the detection of criminal activity, it means that one should check to see who benefits from the crime, and work back from that. The popular phrase for this is "follow the money".

Mods - I posted this thread in Meta to enable it to get a bit of general exposure initially, you are welcome to move it if you feel it would have a better long term home.
128  Other / Meta / Trust ratings and declared alternative accounts on: June 14, 2019, 08:48:39 AM
Kuffy is a declared alternative account registered by Jet Cash, It was registered here because I use Kuffy as a sobriquet for various domain name activities in other forums. I wanted to protect the name here, as I accept Bitcoin and a couple of other altcoins in payment for names. It occurred to me that it might be useful if the trust/reputation system had a method by which members could declare their alternative accounts. The current neutral trust entries go some way towards this, but it may be better to have a more formal method.

Many senior members have alternative accounts for honest and legitimate reasons. I believe that those should be declared, and any activities in their use should influence the reputation of the master account. As an extension of this, it may be useful to add cautions to master accounts if they use undeclared alternative accounts.
129  Other / Meta / Re: Junk accounts - what is it? Are they a threat? How to get rid of them? on: April 16, 2019, 11:27:16 AM
Maybe lets just delete accounts that are not active for, for example, 1 year ?

Not all inactive accounts are "junk". I ( Jet Cash ) registered this account to prevent it being used by somebody who was attempting to pass themselves off as me. I use this name Kuffy more widely than Jet Cash on the Internet. I don't want to create more confusion by posting regularly with yet another alt.

Please note - although I use some other alts, I am not the real Craig Wright - sorry I meant to post Satoshi Nakamoto. Smiley
130  Other / Meta / Re: Adding a master account field to profiles. on: November 03, 2018, 11:49:26 AM
I thought I might give a bit of background to my decision to register this name, as it is the result of the major changes that are starting both in the world of crypto and Bitcoin, and in the broader global economy. Jet Cash is a long term holder of Bitcoin, and, as yet, I haven't sold or spent a single Satoshi. I started looking to buy Bitcoin when it was around $50, but I was put off by the wide trading spread and the online frauds of the time. I feel that I am a bit more competent now, and able to judge the reliability of Bitcoin sellers. The trust system here doesn't really help, as people like Vod, The Pharmacist and TMAN have got trust pages that look like a tomato press, but my gut insinct is that they are completely trustworthy. I've executed a couple of trades with JackG, and I went with my instinct with him, and ignored his trust comments. My instinct was right, and the trades were simple, fast, and trouble free. My domain registrar has stopped paying in Bitcoin when I sell domain names, so I am going to have to purchase coins directly to build my savings in the future.

Why have I registered Kuffy? I use the sobriquet "Kuffy" on several other forums, and Jet Cash is only used in this forum and Fit to Talk. Kuffy has over 5,500 likes on a major domaining forum, and I am going to have to start accepting Bitcoin directly for domain name sales. I have been using the escrow and payment service offered by my registrar, but the removal of Bitcoin as an option, means that I am no longer able to do this. I suspect that there may be some cross-over between the reputations of Jet Cash and Kuffy with regards to domain name sales. Hopefully this will lead to my introduction of some new domain name dealers as members of this forum.

I am fairly outspoken, and in the past I have campaigned against affiliate link theft, and the leeching of affiliate payments through review sites. I had a number of problems resulting from these campaigns, as the practioners signed up on various sites using my name, and made a number of posts in attempts to discredit me. At the moment I'm anti-globalism and the associated eugenics, and opposed to the actions of big pharma. I hope that by registering Kuffy here, I will be able to keep a clean reputation for both of the identities.

I'll select a suitable template for a web page for Jet Cash, and I'll list the 3 declared alts on there. For the record, they are JetAid, Talk Merit, and Kuffy. Hopefully, discvussiing them openly will also avoid any confusion in the future.
131  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2018 Q4) on: November 03, 2018, 08:49:47 AM
Kuffy is a protective alt registration by Jet Cash. It will not be used in any bounty campaigns. It has been registered to protect the name in the BitCoin talk forum, as it is used widely by Jet Cash in a variety of other Internet forums.
132  Other / Meta / Re: Adding a master account field to profiles. on: November 03, 2018, 08:42:47 AM
Many thanks for all the suggestions, and I will certainly implement some of them. It seems that some of the options are not available to brand new members, and, as a result of this, I decided to make a few posts as Kuffy. Hopefully this will allow me to comply with the suggested ideas.
