Wow.  People in this thread have really been giving it to Tao of late  Cheesy

I thought the image was just a bit fun and while it may be misleading to some I don't think it will be the reason we don't make it on to BTC-E.

 The main reason we haven't made it to BTC-e is because they're the biggest LTC bagholders in the world, along with OKCoin. Neither of which like the existence of DRK.

Yep.

I agree with Vertoe, I don't think they will ever add us... and I don't think antics by this or that community member will make any real difference.

I would leave your walls where they are Otoh. At the pace we are dropping it looks like they will dump to you at 0.0111.  Cheesy

The reference node was patched and restarted recently (to fix a bug) and if I remember correctly that causes the cycle of payments to start over. Thus if your node was just about to be paid and the reference node was restarted then you might have gotten screwed. As for the specific bug, check the link:

Just invested 0.49 btc in drk, let's go Smiley Was very interested, only the name dark and the tech behind it still has me worried, who can say everything went fine, when no-one can check it Smiley

Everything is opensource and as such anybody can check the tech. As for the name... *sigh*, is it that time of the month again?

Let's Talk Bitcoin! #191

https://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/lets-talk-bitcoin-191-bitcoin-is-fur-the-people

Darkcoin mentioned: 33 min onwards

 Grin Grin Grin

Nice to hear DRK finally get mentioned by name on the main LTB podcast.  It seems like "original" Bitcoiners (i.e. the libertarian types) are starting to show some interest in DRK.  A very very good sign.  Grin

Also, maybe this is a good time to see if they are interested in an full interview with Evan?

looks like it's Otoh to me ( not Chinese )

Based on what?  His big wall at .0111 is unchanged. Otoh is a big player for sure, but lets not assume all market movement can be attributed to him...especially without any basis.

Hey is cryptsy working for anyone else?

No it is not.  I am getting a "your connection is not private" message.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: February 17, 2015, 11:08:28 AM
i totaly agree with you...but DID YOU OR DIDN'T YOU reinstall MN from scratch?

please why lose this time on who what where maybe why? ...when you can reinstall all and than come say payments are not ok

its like 15 minutes of your time

Who is this directed toward? If it is Crackfoo then his problem has nothing to do with MN set up or reinstall or whatever.  This issue is that it seems like some blocks are not generating the correct number of coins, but the MN is still getting his/her full cut (i.e. the miner is getting screwed).   Check the explorer link in the quote... the generated amount is only 2.9 coins +fees.

Evan needs to take a look at this.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: February 15, 2015, 11:12:08 AM
wtf has my pool paid MN 60% last 2 blocks, while some jerkoff is back to paying none?

that 60% is weird though, shouldnt even be possible. I suggest you provide Evan with your debug.log

edit : i checked both MN addresses that got paid those 60% according website drk.mn and both just received 1.74 DRK on the 15th of feb,
so it looks like they were actually paid according 37.5 %

https://drk.mn/blocks.html

found blocks : 220484 & 220429

XyLz1jG5mUy93hK1QDcPZ6DqDqLvWdEF4A

paid to random MN:

XjkuayokN6t7V2FxaM81t9gP6aBgHzJNAo
Xe98kvZ7MNNsVBbVF7MpgYv1oiKAm67sRy

And another at 60%

http://explorer.darkcoin.io/block/00000000000b96c470468ba586538be558528a58237ec5d507ee1f5ca953e883

What a piss off.

also 1.74 drk MN payment (in accordance with 37.5%) , i think drk.mn is showing incorrect info

well my wallet isn't getting paid the correct amount. It's being skimmed somewhere...

        "address" : "XyLz1jG5mUy93hK1QDcPZ6DqDqLvWdEF4A",
        "category" : "immature",
        "amount" : 1.16131435,
        "confirmations" : 2,
        "generated" : true,
        "blockhash" : "00000000000b96c470468ba586538be558528a58237ec5d507ee1f5ca953e883",

The problem seems to be with the amount generated.  According to the explorer only 2.9 coins are being created when it should be 4.65.  Very strange block.  In block 220504 generation amount is correct.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: February 14, 2015, 12:44:49 PM

seems like someone pulled his buywalls

Maybe.  I still see plenty on the bid side on Cryptsy though.  This looks like a normal correction to me.   I mean the price just did over 2x in the last month.    Wink

Edit: Still a massive wall at 0.0100 on Finex.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: February 14, 2015, 02:20:51 AM
About MiningPoolHub darkcoin masternode payment problem.

I didn't know what happened last night. (Yeah, it's night in my time zone)
and surprised with bunch of scam shouting me.

I personally own my masternode, Xe8YGfjzTYpvfsCXgL6uqvokL8mvV4dCNz

Here is my masternode's payment.
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/address.dws?Xe8YGfjzTYpvfsCXgL6uqvokL8mvV4dCNz.htm

I have no idea about Xit9gEJiUphYGggS2NCu5UaqoR4YWxmFaZ
I promise I don't lie.

ubuntu@ip-10-73-197-237:~/.darkcoin$ darkcoind getinfo
{
    "version" : 110122"

*sniped due to request*

This was the last output of "getblocktemplate" from pool's main darkcoin wallet.
You see the payee saying     "payee" : "Xit9gEJiUphYGggS2NCu5UaqoR4YWxmFaZ", ?

I don't know why that address stuck there.

I have been running pool for months, struggled far many hours and it needed very hard work.
Why do I cheat just will be revealed within one or two days?

I'm really innocent, don't know what things gone. Maybe I'm wrong, I remember there was masternode payee hijacking few weeks ago? Sorry if I'm wrong but maybe it's related to that.

I have debug.log from recent wallet ran.
Hope the dev to find out the problem.

I restarted darkcoin wallet and it seems running fine currently.

Well start by UPDATING the pool wallet to 0.11.1.25 which solves the bug your pool hit and I think people will start to believe your story.

How are they SUCKING IN damn near every block?

That is just horrible - OMG !!!!   ugh

Wondering the exact same thing.... anyone?

According to Evan they are intercepting payment messages in transit and changing the payee to their own masternode.

The masternode of the dirty, thieving pool we are trying to ban, I presume. COME ON everybody, UPDATE to V25! so we can kick these bastards from the network.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: February 13, 2015, 02:52:00 PM
2 out of 3 biggest mining pools gaming the system and overall about 50% off hash power pays MN rewards to the same addresses as of ~13hours ago.. You can check it yourself by clicking on a pool ( https://drk.mn/blocks.html )

Cheating pools: xhash.net ghashio darkcoinoboxru XwfiFDTgpVdMBiHKtLZ5Q8KzghZ8qgCfxb miningpoolhub

Is it software bug or some kind of conspiracy? Cheesy

Now, it's not too bad if these reward go to the miners but somehow I doubt it...

Pools like - multipoolus coinkingio p2pool etc. need more miner love IMHO

This is a major major issue.

If pools making up 50% of the hashrate are actually cheating then they won't bother to update to v.23 meaning that Evan can't turn on enforcement. If people actually care about DRK continuing to rise in value and adoption then remove your hashpower from those renegade pools, IMMEDIATELY!
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: February 13, 2015, 05:07:19 AM
I sent myself 1100 trading DRK to try some Darksend mixing for fun. Amount set to 1100 - 16 rounds. I started at 1PM and now 11 hours later at 5 to midnight, it's at 35% with all inputs having an average of 8+ Rounds. If I set to 8 rounds in the settings I have about 500 DRK available to Darksend. So a bit over $1400 to spend on blackjack and hookers as I please. Nice.

Yeah. With this release Darksend is really fast and consistent. It took serveral months, but for the first time I feel that it is now easy enough for the "general public" to use. I know that IX is all the rage right now, but it is completely OK to brag about how awesome Darksend has become as well.  Smiley

Just hit 85.6% of network on 0.11.1.23. Does anyone know if the new code throws the switch, or do we still wait for Evan?

Isn't that just masternodes?  What about miners?  As I understand it we need 80% or so of the hashrate on .23 as well.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: February 12, 2015, 03:18:50 PM
to 00Smurf :

i guess thats the problems people face when they get a certain reputation for trolling on other coins forums,
when they do have sincere questions and ask them in the very same forum they have been known to troll in the past
they will meet with a lot of suspicion.

In this case child_harold got his answer so i suggest you let it go and return to your own SDC forum.

But as a DRK holder i have every right to be in this forum as well.

Anyways the whole question about being able to spend an instantX was part of a longer convo in irc about bitcoin confirms through a bitcoin ATM.

Well it has been answered.  You can spend it and spent it immediately as a normal send.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: February 12, 2015, 02:54:22 PM
the longer a user has to wait to spend the funds from an InstantX the less useful it is. That is why I asked. The answer given is 2 minutes. Is 2 minutes how long mining confirms take in DRK? Why 2 minutes? Could it take longer?

BTW I was in IRC with Evan when he did 1st DS testing.

Yeah I just tested it.  You don't need to wait for a confirmation.  Coins received via IX can be immediately spent if you use a normal send (sending via IX requires inputs to have at least 5 confirmations so that obviously won't work).

There you go, then that is even better. Although, like I said the important part is really on the customer end:

I think you are right the point is InstantX is designed for the customer the other part is irrelevant. You walk into a store, you grab something, you pay and in 4 seconds you leave.  You are in a subway station you buy something and as you are buying something on a vending machine your train arrives, you pay and you leave, the vending machine is not going anywhere it is you the customer who now has the freedom to leave quickly with your goods.

You deposit coins into an exchange InstantX locks that deposit after 4 seconds,  the exchange can make the balance available in your account immediately after a few seconds, as they have certainty of ownership.  They are not offering this yet as it is a new technology and they will let it mature for a while, but no doubt someone will offer an Instant deposit in the future and maybe charge a premium.

I hope this explains it better.

Agree 100%.
