121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] [GULDEN] Gulden.com — Coming early 2016: Prime on: December 06, 2015, 09:08:33 PM
Bitcoin about to break 400 this week and this will push Gulden price to about 300-350. There will be buying opportunity when bitcoin price corrects and Gulden price remains low. Look out for that point to buy bitcoin to get into Gulden.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] [GULDEN] Gulden.com — Coming early 2016: Prime on: November 30, 2015, 07:42:49 PM
I have noticed a decline in community participation after the zone forum was closed down. What was the reason for this?

Zone forum was nothing special although it wasn't bad either, I preferred browsing forum.guldencoin.com as I am used to simple machines. There is nothing wrong with the official forum although I wouldn't of bothered changing it in the first place. The forum.guldencoin.com was really busy. One change I can recommend for the official forum is to show metrics for online users. Until then it's like comparing apples and oranges.

I like the resource links at the bottom of https://community.gulden.com/, online statistics would make it a lot better as people like to see numbers and growth! Doesn't worry me as I only post on bitcointalk and only for Gulden mainly.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] [GULDEN] Gulden.com — Important update 1.5.5 on: November 24, 2015, 09:40:32 AM
There is a lot of uncertainty in the Gulden market this week. It's not the attack itself that is damaging but the lasting impression that comes after.

lol, if anything the attack has left a positive impression. The development team couldn't of handled things better! Bringing out a patch for double spends within a week is miracle work. What people need to be worried about is all the other coins that aren't double spend protected. Gulden has crossed that bridge!
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] [GULDEN] Gulden.com — Important update 1.5.5 on: November 23, 2015, 10:29:06 AM
updating asap, thanks to dev team keeping on the top and improving constant, low network hash rate allows polishing coin tech to perfection and you are doing it great

~~~cool stuff!~~~  always liked you , the double spent is as said better to be caught now , people that transacted with exchanges and exchanges themselves maybe were affected but volume is not sufficient enough for really major damage and most people are not selling
very best
I want to repeat what has been said by q32. As a community we need to move on and talk about the future Gulden has.
The team has plugged the double spend holes which all PoW coins will need to consider doing or they could be next. Gulden does not have to worry about this in future.
Currently, it seems another 51% attack is happening?
51% Attack? Do we know who is doing it , if anything happens to Gulden there will be a war that will destroy cryptos for good. Attackers you have been warned.
Another? What happened? More then once means it's intentional. I can think of a few people that will want to hurt Gulden.
These attacks is most likely to do with the announcement of Nocks as a fintech company for Gulden which was very big news for the currency. @Buerra any other coins that wanted you to add them to Nocks recently and you refused them?
Could be, but it's pure speculation at this point. There were some coins that requested to be on Nocks, but I doubt that any of them would do this.
We had some decent exposure for the company-news too as we're using other tools to gain exposure (other then the forums). About 2000 reads of the blogs I posted in relation to the news and another 3000 'views' on Twitter with about 200 interactions from tweets about the news/blogs. So yeah, WaterLooDown described it pretty aptly describing this as 'growing pains' on slack yesterday. This surely is a deliberate attack on Gulden, but I trust Malcolm when he says he has a fix and we'll just have to hang tight for the time being.
We're keeping Nocks offline for a bit and until' Bittrex is back up (also needs the new wallet) we can't run our service properly at the moment anyway.
This is deliberate. These coins have much less network hashrate on scrypt algo and never touched.
I bet none of these coins will be attacked after our dev team has come with a fix.
Gulden is being targeted by the alt coin crypto cabal. Most of the top coins have interconnections with exchanges,services etc etc. Gulden is a real threat to their dominance over the alt coin market.
I remember when Noblecoin was attacked after Jason Curby wrote the below on the state of alternative currencies.
http://www.noblemovement.com/downloads/TheStateofAlternativeCryptocurrency-D1.pdf
It wasn't long after the release of this pdf that Noblecoin experienced attack after attack. Noble was also one of the few coins that was independent and trying to make a real difference but they lost the war and haven't recovered.
Gulden has a big fight ahead and if successful will be a shining light for good against evil and greed.
What's going on with the blockchain ?   It seems to be stalling and then spurting.  A pattern of no blocks being found for 1/2 hour or 40 minutes, then a string of blocks all within the next couple minutes, then again no blocks for 40 minutes or so.
Welcome to the world of big hashrate jump pools that selfishly solve low difficulty blocks with a lot of hash rate in a few seconds then go away for a while until the diff drops back below their jump in threshold creating this bunching of blocks you describe.  There are some visualizations of this at nlgstats.nl under charts tab
Indeed selfish... destroying their way of income. If I harvest my land to grow corn I will take care for it to last forever. Not taking out all resources and leave a dead landscape. This is actually exactly what these jumping pools are doing. Destroying themselves... What a waste of energy, hardware and resources.... unbelievable stupid.
It's not the jump pools that are selfish but the miners using those jump pools. Jump pools owners are most likely in touch with human nature of instant gratification and greed, they are trying to ROI as quickly as possible to get their initial purchase funds returned.
Indirectly these miners have caused a whole lot of scrypt coins to switch algorithms or merge mine with litecoin. Luckily for them Gulden has stuck with scrypt and will be a big player in the currency markets, it really is a matter of time.
Those dedicated miners staying on the Gulden blockchain will lose profits today but will gain much more down the road then those jump pool miners looking to limit their losses at current rates.
Great news Buerra, you guys always deliver and can't wait to see what you have in store for Gulden! Anyone else besides me excited for a Gulden future?
Thank you and thank you to all others of course. We're not interested in posting empty shells. I know that's what the past 7 years of this forum and this industry has been about for too long. When I came into the game only 3 weeks after Gulden(coin) had started at the time. I didn't know anything about this industry. I didn't know about the weirdos and the troll-heavy environment. All I saw were opportunities and this life-changing technology.
Along the way I met Patrick and we share a vision and are now on a mission. A mission to Mars? Not really, closer to home really. We look at Nocks as a voyager and we're the first one to breach the atmosphere where we hope to inspire other startups and entrepreneurs like us, engage with them, help them and/or work with them.
We may fail or we may succeed, but when I look at the things we have done, with the help of this community and what we're building right now. I'm very confident that we will succeed.
Thanks again and see you at the next update Wink
Thanks for your efforts. No other alt outside the top 20 has this. Crazy to think there was people unhappy with your achievements. I would focus my attention on getting new people outside of bitcoin talk to come in and experience Gulden. This way they don't see the dark side of the alt coin industry and have a positive experience from the start.
With the latest bitcoin rally , it's hold btc time with the exception of Gulden which is still priced very well under 600. I wouldn't buy into another coin at this time looking at the price differentials.
This is where the risk comes in, if Nocks progress is real there will be a price explosion like we've never witnessed before but if it's all show and no go then the coin is still in a good place. Nocks is already a great service . Can someone from Nocks team give a overview of what has been done for the new users in the community ?
Thanks a lot for the compliment. I really feel flattered you put me in the same group as these intelligent people. Further would I like to advice you to find a more positiv attitude to life, try to support the coin you like, try to do build something constructive instead of trolling at other coins forum. It's a bettor way to fulfil basic human needs and will this finally make you feel happier.
Ignore the troll .
Wow that was done fast. Doing translations is a must for Gulden. No reason this coin can't represent Euro. Litecoin is a dud, it only relies on first alt coin status.
A chinese translation would be a good idea .Gulden = golden. That name will do well in asia
Why is this forum so quiet this last few days. It was exploding 2 weeks ago and made for interesting reading during my coffee breaks.  Grin
Gulden.zone was the busiest forum but was shutdown, even though I didn't post on that forum it was active but the owner didn't care about the community and people using the forum as he decided to leave Gulden. I tried sending him a PM to buy his coins if he had any left but messages are blocked.
Cant blame the guy for quiting. A lot of people dont have the patience for altcoins to succeed and give up quick.
Hi All,
We believe the time has come to get onto another high profile exchange for the main reason being by the end of the year we just can't afford to have any downtime on bittrex and the 2nd exchange will provide us with a backup for the services our consumers will rely on.
Some of the members in the community also tip poloniex as another reputable exchange with decent volume. The other benefit of having another high profile exchange is that when consumers purchase a item from merchants it will use the best price for the consumer from either exchange(or both) providing better overall value.
What you need to do:
Please fill out the https://poloniex.com/coinRequest page at Poloniex and let them know why you want Gulden on Poloniex.
some ideas to mention nocks, DELTA, our merchants (pay.gulden.com), timeline etc
Let me know if you have any questions.
I will submit a request when I am home and also buy coins from Poloniex when they add us. Does this mean more merchants coming before the end of this year?
I have sent!
It's almost like services are being told not to add NLG by people who have influence. There is coins not even in the top 100 and hardly .1 btc volume with more exchange options. Does not make sense.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] [GULDEN] Gulden.com — New website on: October 19, 2015, 06:30:14 AM
can anyone give me a summary of developments over the last 3 weeks ?
* New website: www.Gulden.com. Namechance to Gulden as well.
* 3 wallet updates 1.5.0 - 1.5.2.  Nice wallet in Gulden style as well Cool. Latest is 1.5.2 https://gulden.com/download and there is a bootstrap now https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/cdn-2.gulden.com/bootstrap_20151010.rar
* New developer site: https://developer.gulden.com/
* There were 2 forums, now there is only 1 main forum at: https://community.gulden.com/. And this one ofcourse Wink
* In April 2016 Gulden will sponsor Dutch drone racing championship: https://community.gulden.com/t/gulden-dutch-drone-racing-championships-sponsoring/1246
Thanks for these changes, why was the gulden.zone forum shut down and is the owner building a exchange for Gulden as gulden.zone redirects to http://gulden.exchange ?
Owner was not happy with the slow development of Gulden and thought he was wasting time with this coin. This is honest truth and why price needs to go under 500 .
What a load of rubbish. The dev updates have been coming out faster then ever before.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] [GULDEN] Gulden.com — New website on: October 13, 2015, 02:22:55 PM
I just mentioned how things run at AUR how I see it, by no means I wanted to compare it with NLG (I don't know how busy the NLG dev team is).
You are stating that (the Aur team is busy IRL) is the reason for the slower development (and not the foundation) - however the NLG team is likely just as busy, so that statement can't possibly be true.
This of course does not mean that it is the foundation for sure, there could be many other reasons (A higher quality team, a more dedicated team, a more motivating environment, a better community, better leadership etc. etc.), but your reason for discounting the foundation as a possible factor is certainly incorrect as the NLG team is indeed very busy IRL as well.
Everyone should do what they think is right.
if only this team could be afforded the same.The team that imo is doing a lot right.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] [GULDEN] Gulden.com — New website on: October 13, 2015, 11:57:20 AM
LTEX, I and a few others just want a civil discussion about things that worry us (and holds us back in doing things for NLG) and how the team would handle the obvious problems when they arise. The foundation was proposed as one of the many solutions, not THE solution. Yet, we only receive negative sounding comments from the dev team about how bad this one solution is.
If the dev team doesn't want this discussion, I'll get the hint (I don't speak for others). Just say it, then I know I have to obey the benevolent dictator.
There is 2 leaders . LTEX and RIJK .one will be a dictactor to the grp that does not agree. Like Ltex is ur your leader because of ur joint effort with aur. You also talk with Ltex more and his ideas will have more effect on you. It will be the same for the followers of Rijk.
LTEX is not my leader and don't pull AUR in this. It has NOTHING to do with it. Stop spreading FUD. The dev team is currently leading NLG, nobody else. We just want them to do a proper job and raising questions about issues we see and propose possible solutions.
Both AUR and EFL have foundations. Why not see which projects come out on top? Let Gulden remain the untamed beast while the other 2 projects run on structure.
No mooning below 1500sat... okay?
http://guldenweb.com/trade-volume.php?chid=litebit
Buyorders via litebit atm, let the moon decide for itself, i think Wink
to complete the M.
When it is going up from here it is a nice W bottom  Smiley
Mainstream purchases at this level is far more important then the volume we had over the weekend. Good to see over 1k USD purchases.
