Is there an active dev still? Can they please contact us via support? It looks like there is an active attack on the blockchain.
Thanks, richie@bittrex

Thank to the devs for sorting this out. We've been asked to keep the wallet offline for 12-24 hours till the hashrate settles... I have reopened the market in the meantime.
Thanks, richie@bittrex

Thanks Richie, I will be making an announcement later on the dev blog of what occurred , our solution we had planned in case an event like this ever took place. The development team is going to be implementing a solution ASAP and some testing. Just so the community is aware we have discussed every known scenario that can take place and contingency plans for these types of events.

Currently, it seems another 51% attack is happening?
51% Attack? Do we know who is doing it , if anything happens to Gulden there will be a war that will destroy cryptos for good. Attackers you have been warned. Another? What happened? More then once means it's intentional. I can think of a few people that will want to hurt Gulden.

These attacks is most likely to do with the announcement of Nocks as a fintech company for Gulden which was very big news for the currency. @Buerra any other coins that wanted you to add them to Nocks recently and you refused them?

Could be, but it's pure speculation at this point. There were some coins that requested to be on Nocks, but I doubt that any of them would do this. We had some decent exposure for the company-news too as we're using other tools to gain exposure (other then the forums). About 2000 reads of the blogs I posted in relation to the news and another 3000 'views' on Twitter with about 200 interactions from tweets about the news/blogs. So yeah, WaterLooDown described it pretty aptly describing this as 'growing pains' on slack yesterday. This surely is a deliberate attack on Gulden, but I trust Malcolm when he says he has a fix and we'll just have to hang tight for the time being. We're keeping Nocks offline for a bit and until' Bittrex is back up (also needs the new wallet) we can't run our service properly at the moment anyway.

These coins have much less network hashrate on scrypt algo and never touched. AUR, EFL, DOGED, 42, CHC, FLO, GLD, BTA, SXC, EMD, LYC, BTM, IEC, NYAN, ARI, FRK, RPC, FST, MNC, SPT, QTL, CAT, EMC2, OMC, GLC and more. I bet none of these coins will be attacked after our dev team has come with a fix.

I bet none of these coins will be attacked after our dev team has come with a fix. Gulden is being targeted by the alt coin crypto cabal. Most of the top coins have interconnections with exchanges, services etc etc. Gulden is a real threat to their dominance over the alt coin market. I remember when Noblecoin was attacked after Jason Curby wrote the below on the state of alternative currencies. http://www.noblemovement.com/downloads/TheStateofAlternativeCryptocurrency-D1.pdfIt wasn't long after the release of this pdf that Noblecoin experienced attack after attack. Noble was also one of the few coins that was independent and trying to make a real difference but they lost the war and haven't recovered. Gulden has a big fight ahead and if successful will be a shining light for good against evil and greed.

There is something...strange, about these 51 attacks...
Thus far, there were two spikes on the chain, tripling the hashrate that didn't last very long (only a couple of hours). By looking at the duration of them, I believe it is more likely they were unharmful rentals or something.

Thanks for this update, how is it possible that there is almost a fix for 51% attacks?
Not 51% attacks entirely, just double spending. There are other attacks that can be executed via 51% e.g. denial of service and this won't address those (they aren't the immediate concern as they are less likely - no financial gain) This is just an interim solution so that we can move on in the meantime, in the medium term we will be putting out better solutions.
