Thanks johnywalker, we will add it. I have noticed that a lot of people is still using previous version of the Wallet (0.8.4.1). Please download the latest one 0.8.4.2 and use it so we are all on the same page. You don't have to install anything just replace the .exe file but to make sure your wallet.dat file is safe, make a backup first. We are trying to reactivate one of the old Q2C pools. Hope it will be ready soon...

|
We will create a new one once we get a few things done first.

Poloniex killed this coin - this is true
You are wrong! the community killed the coin due to lack of buying support on different exchanges. This is so true! I can see people cheering when the price would go up but I when mention support in terms of buying and keeping that price level, everybody would say that their BTC is in some other currency. People are always expecting actions from other people - "someone else is going to do it and I will come after some time and just dump my coins and earn a lot of money". 90% of people act like this.

It looks like our future to be developer is not as serious as we tought. He was supposed to close the poll on Thrusday and I reminded him twice already but got no reply from him what so ever. Now I think that if we proceed with this merge we will completely lose grip with this coin. If Ahmed is not responding for these simple things like closing the poll, imagine what will happen if we had a bigger problem and wanted to change something.
|
|
|
OK. If by doing this we gain on security without big modifications, I would say that is the way to go. What do the other Q2C users/miners think about this? I suggest we make a poll.
Could you just in a simple way explain what will happen when you do the modification? I understand that people will have to download new wallet. Which mining application will we have to use (If we need to change it at all)? Things like this - from the moment of change. I'm guessing that there will be no problem to do solo mining.
I am sorry but I'm not familiar with all these technical things and I believe most of the people aren't, also.

I made a merged mining patch for qubitcoin. i can help update q2c to LTC code and then hard fork it for myriadcoin mm
What does updating Q2C to LTC code means? If it means replacing all algorithms with the one that LTC is using (scrypt), then it is no longer Qubitcoin. Besides that, mining Qubit uses 50% power of what you need for LTC. I'm afraid that by doing this Qubitcoin would lose its identity. If someone wants to mine Qubit there is already a way and it is working fine. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, we are working on the web site. I think your server could be more useful for some other things that people mentioned here. I think it was for DNS Seed or something like this.
|
|
|
OK. I'm starting to work on that. Who has the access to this domain? Is that person willing to give the access?

I have offered help few times but nothing happened. Everything ends up on words, nothing gets done although there is a possibility. To many philosophers... Now I ask again, what is necessary and what needs to be done? We could restart a web site. Lets start on that. What should that web site contain? It doesn't have to be complicated, just some basic information and links for start.

Graham,
Any news about development plan?

16 BTC to 997 sat. Someone could pump this coin to insane heights with ease.
Are you suggesting we should all buy? Buy while it's still cheap

Everything is about sentiment. Can someone tell me why is DRK (Dark coin) better then Q2C? The way I see it - it is not. Maybe even worst. I know that DRK had issues with wallet and some other and the other and I don't see that Qubit had those issues. Everything is working smooth with Q2C. Even the power consumption (mining) is the same. Now look at the price and will see a huge difference. If you remember, both coins started at the same time (beginning of the year). I know, someone is going to say that Q2C doesn't have a developer but I don't think this is the reason.

The price is slowly going up At this point instead of mining Qubit directly it would be much better to use a part of mining resources to mine some other coin (DRK for example - same power requirements) and then use it to buy Qubit. At the end you get about the same amount of Qubits but this way the price of Qubit goes up
