How does a client get selected for Forging?
Now one of those who is online So it's random? Temporary, yes!

Maybe the txs get sent to various nodes to be confirmed in the same block? Now i'm really curious ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) That what i'm thinking yeah something like that cause if you look at old blocks the number of confirmations is totally random, like it depends on the number of nodes on the cloud when the block was generated. Either it's genius or dumb i don't know yet lol When a transaction is generated, it is instantly sent to all available peers to be confirmed! The total confirmed # is calculated and displayed instantly - that is why we refer to them as instant transactions. The transaction then is putt in line for the block creation, A block is generated at a 60 s interval. Containing at least 1 transaction. The Empty transaction issue is ignored as the mining concept is removed. Wow so the thing is blazing fast to confirm (faster than any other crypto ?) and blockchain is less bloated without unnecessary blocks. Sounds great ! It is certainly fast, although we have't compared it with other cryptos yet! We are pioneering and further testing has to be performed in order to reveal the full potential of this idea!

Shouldn't there be blocks coming through even when there are NO transactions? ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) No, a block is generated with at least one transaction!

Oh yeah you're right 4 in 1 ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) No CNY, chinese sad ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Chinese would be happy to see CNY, it is more important than EUR. BTC NODE USD EUR CNY This can be implemented, if there will be a demand, then i don't see why not!

1) No! The BTC/Eur/USD Integration stands for the ability to send and receive BTC/Eur/USD trough Node! There is no internal exchange! So no liquidity issue!
How is one going to send BTC let a lone EUR through NODE if there is no internal exchange ? In simple terms, the Blockchain will allow sending information, back and forth, this is not something new, the key element here will be NODEBank which will ease the transition between fiat and crypto! We refer to it as Nodebank because it connects the blockchain transparency with financial gateways letting take advantage of both financial solutions, benefiting the end user. In some way our system will implement the same principle as an exchange, in terms of depositing and manipulating funds, except the part of "exchanging". The currency will keep its form, and won't be diluted!

Will we be able to trade Node to bitcoin, euro and dollars inside the wallet?
Where will the initial liquidity come from?
When is an exchange coming?
1) No! The BTC/Eur/USD Integration stands for the ability to send and receive BTC/Eur/USD trough Node! There is no internal exchange! So no liquidity issue! 2) Roughly Estimate 2 weeks!

Come-from-Above <<< Known Troll. Add to Ignore list. Come-from-Above = come from ass = little ass shit, not Known Troll Everyone! Ignore this person's posts! Even if he had that many stakes (which i doubt, cause we removed all the major puppets), he is just trying to get your attention! If you guys give him attention, even in a negative way by reposting and offending him! he succeeds in his goal! roger that P.S. any good news about wallet development? Wallet development is going smooth! I rather not give you guys a spoiler but: - We are currently negotiating and developing the api calls for an exchange! What exchange... ? You'll have to wait for an official announcement! peace

The OP, looks awesome but the links are not working!
I know that you are busy, but update them asap, cause we are loosing potential NEW node members!
Also, i have spare time - So i would like to help out.
Lovey Ya :*
Thank you for being proactive with our project! Updating them doesn't represent a problem! We just got carried away with the wallet development, cause its the priority at the moment! Thank you for pointing that out! If you have any other suggestions, please don't hesitate to tell us! Sure ... i was wondering why you guys are not actively promoting Node! And after receiving the above reply - it hit me - you guys are working on the client, and probably are waiting for it to be stable and then to make something big out of it. I agree with this decision, i mean it is no point to sell an unfinished product, or an unripe fruit! Agree! As a coin we had our ups and downs! But currently we are facing up! Our devs are making everything possible to release a solid client ASAP And is my role a bystander to continuously motivate them to do DA JOB as fast as possible! You've witnessed the way our team handles client updates and error annihilations! We are more pumped up, than ever, because we are almost almost there! And once we have a 100% client we will push deadlines and marketing - which is very pompous!

This version was released on 2 days
This is version 0.04 - the one that was recently released. Not the first release. I've been using 0.02 and 0.03.. 0.03 started crashing in a similar way and I didn't have time to troubleshoot. Hoped that it would be fixed with 0.04 but no such luck. Java is v.1.7.0_67, OS is Windows 8.1 Troubleshooting: - Tried a system reboot and running NODE with no concurrent applications - flushed out java cache and cached apps. - removed nxtl folder from ~\appdata\local (note: new folder is created before crash) - extracting and running a fresh copy from the .zip downloaded (note: windows prompts regarding security/access to network RIGHT before it crashes -- doesn't give me a chance to choose) Sequence of Events: 1. Open Node client 2. Window opens with white background and large text 'Loading...' in top left 3. Windows Modal: 'node_v_0.4_beta.exe has stopped working' Feel free to pm me if you want me to try some extra steps to debug Thank you for the report! The devs got it, and they will try to fix this in the next version! Version 0.4 had an core update and was released for 2 days to test the intervention! A new one will coming soon! I'm looking forward to your testing! And future reports!

I was one of the first users who had signed up for this many months back. SInce then there has been some revisions, and the latest was I signed up again after receiving a PM from Grumand. How do I go about claiming my stake?
The coins were distributed! You just have to log in to your node account! If you have any questions, let me know!

so is that way of saying currently its insecure? because it sounds like it
i agree with simakki all this should have been done way before launch not after or at least have a half decent working wallet.
Blockchain already formed, the only thing that we set up and test the network and data synchronization. We have already done today new changes in the code On the following days there is a new client update I am referring to the safety of our project Have you seen something to NXT or other project once fully open code from the very beginning if its just the security of the project you was meaning thats fine, its understandable. at least for me it sounded like u was meaning security in the wallet. i must ask tho why has the client not been built up to at least a stable beta before the coins were distributed? a great proportion of other coins have released a functional client before they distributed the coins or at least a secure web client but we diddnt even get that. what was the reasoning behind choosing http over https to distribute NODE as imo it was a security risk to do so. The security of the project! It is cool that people are trying to verify the code from the beginning, and we are looking forward to that, cause thanks to their help we might find goals to work on! But messing with the code in a vicious way, might harm! And also we are innovating, and pioneering with node.js! Which means that nobody did something that our team does, and this creates opportunities for plagiate (which is inevitable cause this is an open source project). And we would rather postpone it after the source release! After all our team deserves the credit, even if it will be taken away later. The client should had been released at the same time as the distribution ended, but we had a small miscommunication, and the release was delayed! And the http it is temporary, as we were just about to release the client. I think it will be added in the near future.

"loading please wait" takes waaaaaay too long.. :/
Loads the whole blockchain on 1st startup maybe thats why it takes some time. ah ok.. it should say that on loading then instead of just wait cos people will think its crashed.. as time goes on the longer it will stall at start up and people will wonder why... I think THe "loading notification" should be replaced with a percentage or download status bar! It will make this moment easier to understand! yup thats sounds good! what would be really cool, is have a network type picture where the lines between nodes come together like a puzzle and once the network "puzzle" is fully put together, its fully loaded and the lines light up and then client opens? that would be slick! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Awesome idea! Are you a designer by any chance
