Mt. Gox hack is only the surface of the problem right now....some fundamental problems (ie. lack of recourse to criminal activity) with the currency are contributing to the sell-off.
If you look at the upwards trend for the last days, its clear that the selloff of the last hours has to do with MtGox opening.

obviously as that's where the funds were trapped.

Hahaha...satoshi is busy cashing out because he knows a currency that makes a handful of early adopting nerds rich is not going to resonate with the masses.

Starting to see some signs of a cash out on TH...
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tradehill needs to fix their charts on: June 25, 2011, 06:16:56 PM
there are a variety of other charting sites, you don't need to use the TH charts.

would be nice to have it all in one place

Is there a free version of Sierra charts?
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Tradehill needs to fix their charts on: June 25, 2011, 05:16:59 PM
Min/Max values need to re-scale when you go to a different timeframe.  Otherwise the graphs are useless.

7-9 is the range where I would recommend a buy.  Above that, we are still in bubble mode.

really? you see a bubble but think 7$ are justified?
my limit is maybe 0.20$, or some fundamenal change in bitcoin adoption.

In essence I agree with you, but $7 opens the door for some decent short term profits.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watching Tradehill prices closely... on: June 25, 2011, 04:31:02 PM
I think we're going to see prices drop into the $7-$9 range.

Oh good, an economist. Let us know when your hindsight revision is out.

Bitcoin lovers can only prop up the price for so long.  The only thing sustaining this current price is the abundance of coins in the hands of early adopters hoping to prop up the market so they can cash out.

You want to buy lower too, eh.

I think it's going to drop to $1 !

So I can buy a ton! C'mon panic!

Price means "Last Price" so to be accurate they should set it at 17.5 since that was their last valid price.  It won't matter.

Bring it on... I've got a TH buy order sitting on about 12.5 in case it drops hard while I'm asleep.

Not low enough.

137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something I don't get about GOX. on: June 25, 2011, 03:29:04 PM
Where did all the "hehehe" usernames come from?  I think those most have been SQL injected.  The hackers tested the system injecting users, then went for the whole database.  Gox is liars.  I don't know why anyone would trust any money with them.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gox me baby! Where are you? on: June 25, 2011, 03:17:36 AM
pushed back 12 hours haha
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gox me baby! Where are you? on: June 25, 2011, 03:14:46 AM
maybe they are doing a security audit aka waiting to see if anyone can hack in and if things are good in an hour they will go live
