121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Future mining plan revealed on: August 18, 2021, 08:49:13 AM
@ Metroid @Philipma your attention is needed since you guys have been around for a very long time now, I have a plan that's been set in motion already since 2020, please kindly tell me if I'm right on track or off track

My plan is to have a 1gh mining farm

1. I'm presently at 400MH as we speak and I've made back my ROI from some of the cards I used to achieve this 400MH, what I want to do now is make back half of the ROI on the new cards I got and start taking profits even in bear market to buy back GPUs since they would be cheaper in bear market

2. Or I should just keep mining for now and taking profits then when bear market starts I should start holding my coins instead, probably in BTC

I have free electricity and solar energy set up, this is 100% covered so you don't need to give answers on electricity consumption, also this is why dream I'm not doing this for quick return of investment, it's what I intend to keep alive for a long time
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What if? on: August 17, 2021, 08:55:55 AM
GPU price will always make a difference in bear market mate, less value in coins equals to less mining profitability and I'm sure BTC will go way down under 30k if bear market comes, don't fool yourself stop buying GPUs for 2x MSRP
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Crazy pool SCAM on: August 17, 2021, 07:35:12 AM
Do you feel like you were "crazy" to mine there?

Seriously though, their servers crashed and they are trying to recompense everyone. So rather than say scam I'd say they are doing their best with a poor hand. Shit happens.

That being said, this video was hilarious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fs1hhueql8o
God damn 🤣🤣🤣🤣 that's one of the most hilarious video I've ever seen, honestly you are right, the admins at crazy pool don't know what they are doing, shit happens I get but why are they still running anyways? Even big pools like Nicehash got fucked up years back and they reimburse everyone, it's not a big deal
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Road to ROI on: August 17, 2021, 07:19:27 AM
I've already made purchase of some GPUs this year and even last month and I'm not looking for quick returns, I could buy more GPUs right now but bear market will make me get more numbers of GPU the easy way, buy cheap GPUs or wait for bear market, I feel it's already too late because we only have 5 more months left to enter 2022
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Crazy pool SCAM on: August 16, 2021, 07:37:10 AM
Some people are still saying they are getting paid from crazy pool but I'm not getting paid after reaching the minimum payout threshold, there is nothing we can do about this and yes the pool can't be trusted, all u can say is start using pools that pays out every 24hrs, sorry for your loss
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX580s sweet offer from China on: August 15, 2021, 09:29:11 AM
Those cards are used ruggedly for mining already that's why they are been sold for that cheap, I won't be surprised if you run in some issues when you get the cards, I'd stay away from used 580s because that's what many Chinese miners use in their rigs, a new 580 costs 350-400$ I'd gladly buy those instead
127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things I wish I knew before starting my crypto journey on: August 15, 2021, 08:44:22 AM
It's good you learn from your mistake, making mistakes is normal in human lives in fact it's what makes every works out but that's for those who learnt from their mistakes, without mistakes there won't be any thing to correct, I don't take my mistakes so serious anymore they are just gradual process to something better
128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do we do when a campaign is discovered to be a fraud on: August 15, 2021, 08:23:56 AM
Save yourself from trouble by removing the project's signature from your profile or else you will be tagged as a member of the scam project, also I recommend making a report but won't bring down the project, I doubt that this forum is capable of going after scam projects since that's not their jobs anyway
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency scam tricks newbies might fall for. on: August 14, 2021, 08:30:25 AM
Most people are now aware of fake airdrops alerts or fake giveaway alerts in your email account but the ones that many still fall for are those that gives at least something just to lure you or those that use other big projects name and create fake tokens to sell on uniswap
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The new AMD Radeon Cards on: August 14, 2021, 08:26:58 AM
I heard that new AMD 6600 GPUs are damn good for mining is there anyone on here that have get themselves one ? Also can we get them for MSRP price ? If that's possible won't miners start buying those instead of over priced GPUs
I looked at the prices for these video cards in my country, in stores onga were sold for 650-700 dollars and were quickly sold out.
I'm not that AMD fanatic to pay that kind of money for a budget video card.
At the manufacturer's MSRP, this is a good buy, but video cards are not available in stores.
Probably they were bought by miners directly from the factory.
AMD priced rx6600 for 379$ msrp. What a price for entry level card Smiley 32mhs card for 379$
Comapnies got very greed
Oh really? I bet you can't find those cards at a store near you for that price, whatever you read online about those buyers aren't 100% true, miners on YouTube buy them directly from AMD and right now few stores in China are selling more over MSRP
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH gas fee still high, London fork a failure? on: August 14, 2021, 07:40:45 AM
From what I understand, it had nothing to do to lower fees however they just made it more difficult for larger miners to manipulate the gas fees and make users pay more than they should.

However when the network has high usuage, like right now with all the NFT and ETH pumping, it obviously will have more transactions and the fees are obviously going to be higher. Last month or so, when everybody was on Summer vacation and ETH and BTC were dropping people weren't using the network as much and you could get away with <10 Gwei fees. However these days it would be very diffciult to get a quick confirmation with fees so low.
You are right and this is why miners are still happy with what they are making, yesterday i was expecting 29$ from my miners as 24hrs mining reward but I got 40$ instead and I was shocked, maybe that's a pool luck or there is more to it I don't know.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is DeFi dead? on: August 13, 2021, 05:53:22 PM
DeFI reign is officially over, now we have NFT and they are more than just the hypes surrounding DeFI projects, I meant NFT projects are way better in terms of utilities, most DeFI projects don't have any real use case than decentralized finance aka Yield farming but NFT has what it takes
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help regarding RX 590 on: August 13, 2021, 10:39:31 AM
You dont need mod bios. Which miner are you using?
In phoenix just add this -cclock 1150 -cvddc 900 -mclock 2100 -mvdcc 900 -mt 1 -vmr 30 with this it should give 30mhs
Later you can downvolt more than 900mv test until it crashes also u can use -mt 2 later for faster.
I think teamred miner is better, through HiveOS you can use clock lock and get better performance with amdmemtweak settings, all available in the hive OS, you will also be able to use lesser watt power
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 'White Hat' hacker has returned most of the stolen $600 million crypto tokens on: August 13, 2021, 10:15:58 AM
This is still very hard to believe, there is no such thing called honor among thieves, how can an hacker go through a lot to hack a security server just to return the money they stole? This doesn't sound right and I believe that we are only hearing half part of the truth
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gigabyte 3070 rev1.0 target locked on: August 13, 2021, 08:41:23 AM
Thanks for your replies, got the GPU sent to me yesterday since I bought locally and it's indeed a non LHR, I am able to get 61.4MH using hive OS thanks guys thanks 👍
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers returns huge money stolen in biggest crypto heist on: August 12, 2021, 11:48:44 AM
I think the hacker is already rich and only playing a game to make him famous. Or yet he figured out his gonna having a hard time to fully withdraw the funds since everyone is monitoring the wallet his gonna used. But this is easy for a hacker like him but still settle to return it.

Im sure polynetwork will give something or reward to him for such action. Some say its a very childish act and some hackers are also commending his action. Anyway good that he will return it anyway.
To make himself famous? That's so unrealistic friend hackers stays away from been famous as far as possible, if it's a must they use nick names instead like anonymous, we don't know how anonymous are till date but we recognise them with their mask only, I think this hacker did some mistakes that will later lead to his arrest
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: which pool or wallet? since ethermine has upped cost of payouts. small miner. on: August 12, 2021, 11:38:45 AM
Every ETH wallets supports poly network, all you have to do is import your private key into metamask mobile wallet and add matic to the network in the wallet, here is a link about how to do this

https://docs.matic.network/docs/develop/metamask/config-matic/
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Gigabyte 3070 rev1.0 target locked on: August 12, 2021, 11:13:16 AM
I find myself a NON LHR 3070 today in a store close by at 1200$ and at first I doubted but after few research I get to know that gigabyte 3070 rev 1.0 are the non LHR versions, am I correct? Also is this 1200$ in fit for this GPU cos the Hashrate they can do is a little over 60MH
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Am I trapped? on: August 11, 2021, 12:55:28 PM
The default payout is 0.1 ETH which will only take you two weeks if using 150-180MH on Ethereum but can't say since you don't say anything about your real hashrate, the lower the longer to get paid out this is why I prefer ViaBTC pool and others like it
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A very bad GPU 😡 on: August 11, 2021, 11:10:05 AM
gtx1660 not very good option for mining. get 1660s or 1660ti
Where is this coming from?  Grin I have some 1660 bought from China simply because they are cheaper, got them for 350$ each and they do 26MH mining Ethereum, what is your PC settings cos that's what stoping many from reach 25/26MH on this cards
