121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: December 18, 2014, 07:38:12 AM
guys.. i can't get the market to work.. it doesn't display anything for sell.. =\

I would guess it's because there isn't anything listed on the market right now.

There are new releases coming in the next 14 days (sooner the better) and I'm sure alot of folks are waiting for these releases to come before listing new items.

Yep, most folks know naturally not to put the cart before the horse.  Seems to be a big secret around these parts.

all the "cool" coins are now X something, xmr, xpy...
so should we start calling this one xhc and xryptohash

This is not a scrypt or standardized x[y] scrypt coin.  It is a new algo that can be modified to combat the idea of the asic, and with pid to control diff, it is in a class by itself, beyond that it complies with new standards.  It does not need an 'X' to be 'cool', it has that all on it's own.

This is why I decided to bring my GPUs out of retirement.

It looks like someone has bought up quite a few sells on lazycoins.

Yeah, it does look like we are not the only folks that see potential in this, as soon as I saw it is actually something new I was on it.  Bang up job wr104!  SYS is below 100 sats again after 500 sat IPO sale, not sure if those folks missed the boat, or just flat jumped off.  KHC trading at 900 sats and hasen't even been really introduced yet, wait until it hits the larger exchanges.

All i see is Blocks should i be surprised, no explosion or implosion yet, whats wrong dev?  Cheesy

I'll spare dev your beckoning of him for a response:  You were and most probably always will be; wrong, -that is all.

You are not a funny man, i saw lots of Blocks being solved fast and wanted to encourage new Miners.

Well, bummer.  No future as a comedian, but then again I'd probably have to be interested in that.  Blocks have been flying by, block 10k came and went, as long has the diff algo adheres to dev's design nothing is wrong, at least with the wallet allegedly exploding or imploding.

Anyone test the power consumption of the algo versus X11 and other algos? Just curious about the results...

Full config with one 6950@6970 :
x11 = 195w
khc = 240w

I'd bet this could be improved upon.  Unlike BTC wallet, KHC does not generate 'dummy work' when there is none so that is a big bonus for solo miners but while pointing at the pool I have yet to see my miner go idle when there is no work available, aside from that KHC is quite new being a 320bit hash so the miner kernel could potentially be optimized quite a bit more than it is.  Took a while before a DRK (x11) optimized kernel was released with sgminer, and it was improved upon further recently.

"networkhashps" : 7366
nonce pool at 5,536.48 KH/s

Out of the 20 last Blocks 11 went to the 1830KH/s kinda odd since double as much should have gone to the pool am i right?

Too much unknown in that, there was a period where work was unavailable through the pool and I know the dev is watching intently for debug purposes and while working on sgminer/khc build with 2 290's, so expect to be wrong.   The pool is not running stratum.

pool seems to have sometimes a little lag when giving new work
this is good for solominers, they will get all the blocks when it happens

I've actually noted more than just a little lag, last night I let it hash there all night, when I got up and checked my miner was hashing away but the pool didn't credit anything for over 100 blocks.  Now tonight I saw my miner setting there waiting for work, restarted it and got work but also checked the pool and I was 1 of 2 miners so it looks like they know there is something going on as it looks like they bounced the server...

I am buying BTC0.5 worth of Kryptohash. PM me with your price/quantity. I have my price as well. ( Which is above buy price on lazycoins )

Is LazyCoins the only exchange for this coin at the moment?

Yes, and only one pool, and that is probably a good thing for the moment.  There has been a little trouble getting PID to work correctly and consistently cross platform, but it looks like dev got it nailed down now.

Knocking on wood.

Now that things have stabilized, I won't be releasing another Wallet till next year and will begin spending 100% my time on getting the sgminer-khc fork working.

Maybe for Christmas?

This coin is a bumpy ride, but i like it
when will nonce-pool be back up ?

They should script running wallet version to be displayed on their site so folks will trust it, also might be good to script latest release version displayed too.

dont waste your time
testing rewards

 i placed block 9143 with wrong block reward to network to test it

I saw the use of 50 + RND subsidy X at block height X and didn't like that either, but potential for open sourced type abuse diminishes with time.  Use of RND should have been a peer election process.

Quote
getpeerinfo:

"subver" : "/Kryptohatoshi:0.5.0/",
"startingheight" : 9143

already! it's a bit hard to follow.

What was the rest of the peer info?  Namely, the IP.  Each found block is constructed with routable IP no?

I'm certainly not beyond physically expressing my opinion on the subject, provided you are not a minor.

Just can't ignore or pass up the opportunity to comment on those observational skills of yours.  How about I meet you half the way on this, to YOU this coin is dead so dump your coins and don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.  Thanks for your participation, ignorance, and arrogance.

got my own windows wallet compiled for this coin

Remember that dev is presently modifying source, so you may not have the latest mods to address fork at 9100.  Better to compile your own build after examining the source, and after dev has made a release.

dev should enable upnp.. default is off

UPNP conceptually is a nightmare for security, thus is why not every firewall supports it.

To be honest,I've mined 20K+ KHC,but now I feel a little frustrated,why this coin updated over and over again??!! for what?? to let dev use 6 cards to mine more coins to compasite his effort?? or something else??!!!  I don't know waht it is.
DEV,any responde to my question??

If your as good a coder as you are a critic, then get off your hands and fix it yourself.
this logic is fucking stupid,I am merely a miner and investor ,but I have the right to question.
WHO ARE YOU ,WHORE?? PR OR part of DEV TEAM?

No braniac, both def's apply...

WORE Write Once Run Everywhere
WORE War on Religious Extremists

WHORE ,of course you can defend a coin you love,but ,dont defend it stupidilly,okay?

Your ignorance has firmly placed your foot in your mouth.  I do not need to defend the coin and I am not, however your bloodline seems to have missed the boat somewhere in human evolution, your elevator is not able to reach the top floor, you're a couple cans short of a six pack.  I see you like to manufacture information to present as evidence such as the 'H' in my username, and you failing to check the first post of this thread for anything new resembles selective amnesia, maybe you should have become a lawyer.
