All the problems seem to go back to issues with DC/DC subsystem stability and firmware. Look at the notes in the changelog for bfgminer

KnC should just simply ship one Titan to the BFGMiner developer Cool
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 09, 2014, 02:50:42 PM
Not realizing they wanted a screenshot of BFGMiner, ...

How can I show up the BFGMiner stats?

The one I was overclocking was soldered directly to the Titan cube using TWO high quality 6x PCI-E connections (NOT the cheap square pins with the split down the middle).

2 PCI-E 6 pin connections for 1 cube?

Yep.  My first try ended with melting connectors.   Luckily I was home and smelled it burning before who knows what...

How did you do that? With a Y cable?

Best pool to use for me is ghash. Flawless so far, and they support merged mining. 300+ MH/s speeds even with 1 dead die.

At multi.ghash.io:3333 or ltc.ghash.io:3333?
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Auto profit switch with exchange to BTC - YAAMP.COM on: October 09, 2014, 02:40:51 PM
Yaamp is torturing me with a current estimate of 0.88 BTC/MHs  Grin
but the Titan web interface still reports "Miner Status: Running (Connect to Miner API failed)".
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Auto profit switch with exchange to BTC - YAAMP.COM on: October 09, 2014, 12:38:01 PM
My 2 cube's turned out to be SICK, and today flew to Sweden under warranty.
Waitin for new cubes Smiley

It's probably no hardware error. I guess the ASIC drivers are total crap ... or both Wink

They should rename to AlphaMiner Grin
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Auto profit switch with exchange to BTC - YAAMP.COM on: October 09, 2014, 09:58:55 AM

Yes, please:

 [2014-10-07 12:42:52] Pool 0: Unknown stratum msg: {"id": 4, "result": true, "error": null}
 [2014-10-07 12:42:52] Coinbase check: multiple inputs in coinbase: 0xc8
 [2014-10-07 12:42:52] Pool 0 misbehaving (coinbase check), disabling!

is there a stratum mining pool where you can successfully mine? If so, we can analyse their protocol and see the difference with our.

I get also no results with Yaamp and the Titan.

Nicehash and SimpleMulti works fine with 2 Titan cubes each at 75 MHs = 150 MHs.

P.S. I'm still troubleshooting to get cube 3 and 4 working.

Edit: Cube 3 and 4 are now "working" with Nicehash, so 4 cubes are mining now at Nicehash for the first 5 minutes between 180-290 MHs and now between 0-240 MHs ... more zero than 240 Sad
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 08, 2014, 07:58:10 PM

What's the meaning of Quota?

Strategy: Failover or Load balance? With Failover I don't get a connection with Nicehash.

load balancing doesn't work

Really? 2 cubes work (20-25% rejects) with load balancing and Nicehash (the other 2 cubes don't get recognized).

With failover I don't get a connection to Nicehash.

KNC have admitted on their forum that load balancing is broken. If load balancing worked it would be very easy to refute the KNC lie that all the problems with reduced hash rate at various pools are because the pools aren't set up to handle the 'extreme power' of the Titan.

So they're not in a rush to fix load balancing right now.

I could change the settings from load balancing to failover. With load balancing I had 150 MHs for 2 cubes and 25% rejects, now with failover I have 100 MHs for 2 cubes and 33% rejects.

Thank's for the info!

Which settings do you have for Quota (1) and Password (x)? In the past there was something like d=0.08 instead of x for the password for GPU miners to reduce the rejects. Can't remember anymore.

Safely shutdown Titan by killing power to the controller board first, then power cycling the remaining power supplies directly connected to the cubes.  You can also run command "sudo shutdown now" to shutdown softly or "sudo shutdown -r now" to reboot softly.  All needs to be done at bash command prompt from ssh pi@<serverip>.

Thank you very much! Smiley

1.

Can someone please tell me which Miner Settings are working ... I'm mining since 1 year with cgminer, sgminer and ccminer but I don't have a clue what's Quota Huh

These are my current not working settings:

{
  "pools": [
    {
      "quota": "stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3333",
      "user": "my-BTC-walletaddress",
      "pass": "x"
    }
  ]
}

2.

HW Status says only ASIC Slot 5 and 6 are working but two other cubes should be recognized. I have 2 PSUs with 1300 watt each, both running, all cube fans running.

I've connected all 4 cubes the same way to the board, red wire on the right, if you look at the board.

One red LED (below PP10) is on, at the top board (the one with the LAN connector).

Any ideas?

3.

How do I safely shut down the Titan with 4 cubes?

132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: (Question) Multi Pool Switcher for Linux like e.g. "Awesome Profit Switching"? on: October 06, 2014, 06:52:39 AM
Maybe some work arounds just for 2 pools e.g. Nicehash and Wafflepool ...  any ideas how to switch between 2 pools on Linux?
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dogeparty, Counterparty for the Dogecoin blockchain! (official) on: September 15, 2014, 02:43:17 PM
I'm not really a big off online wallets. Are there any plans building a Dogeparty wallet app like Dogecoin-Qt or Multidoge?
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / KnC Neptune/Titan without server case for colocation ?? on: September 11, 2014, 01:33:08 PM
Does anyone have experience in building a server case for the KnC Neptune/Titan or knows some links?

I'm wondering why KnC delievers 10000 USD miners in peaces instead of using a professional server case. Their "new modular cases" look so damn dilettantish and are total crap if it comes to colocation.

Does anyone know a Multi Pool Switcher software for Linux like e.g. "Awesome Profit Switching" or "Miner Control"?
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / (Question) With Scrypt-ASIC fully automated payed in Darkcoins? on: September 09, 2014, 09:23:37 AM
Is it possible with a Scrypt-ASIC to get fully automated payed in Darkcoins?

Maybe with a pool who payes the Scrypt miner in DRK (couldn't find one) or e.g. an exchange which would change fully automated the incoming BTC from your miner (many exchanges don't like that) to DRK and sending them fully automated to your wallet on your phone or PC?
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Miner Control 1.0.0 - Auto profit switching miner controller on: September 04, 2014, 06:24:08 PM
@StuffOfInterest

Looks great!

Does Miner Control support AMD and Nvidia GPUs? Any chance to release the software for Linux, too?

Yesterday I've tried to compile ccMiner like always ...

cd ccminer-djm34-0901
chmod +x configure autogen.sh

"This is easily fixed by adding at the end to Makefile.am"
AUTOMAKE_OPTIONS = subdir-objects

./autogen.sh
./configure
make

... but now I get the following error Huh

./cuda_helper.h(493): error: more than one instance of overloaded function "__shfl" matches the argument list:
            function "__shfl(int, int, int)"
            function "__shfl(float, int, int)"

139  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: (Help) Best way to remote control Xubuntu miner from MacOS? on: August 31, 2014, 08:15:14 PM
go with teamviewer that way it reports everything to your account so when the ip changes teamviewer is already updating its self with the info. it can be hard to install on linux but its well worth it in the end.

I've already tried Teamviewer but didn't work out of the box. You're probably right, it's not easy to install but maybe I can figure out how to install it in the next few days Smiley

In the meantime I've installed X11VNC and it works fine, except encrypted connections.

FreeNX looks interesting too but doesn't work at the moment.

all that said your ip shouldnt change unless you router reboots or looses connection so normal programs like xrdp will work fine aslong as you know the ip

Some internet providers disconnect every 24h but at the moment mine doesn't Smiley and I've found out my AVM FritzBox has a build in email service everytime something changes, including the IP address Cool Awesome Grin
140  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - innovative professional cryptocurrency cloud mining service on: August 31, 2014, 11:55:52 AM
Now I've tried just to mine at port 3335, without all the other algos, as always with the Linux Nicehash build of SGMiner 5 from July 29th but I still get only hardware errors Huh
X11 till X15 works fine.

#!/bin/sh
export DISPLAY=:0
export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
cd /home/xxx/sgminer5-0729
./sgminer --algorithm nscrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3335 -u xxx -p x --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-fan 88 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2 -w 64 -I 17

Any ideas Huh

If you have AMD drivers 14.x then you'll get hw errors on scrypt and scrypt-n ... for scrypt and scrypt-n you should use 13.x drivers.

Oh! Thanks for your quick reply!

I'm running 14.6 beta (Linux) since months and I'm currently trying to set up a multi algo conf with all algos for the Nicehash pool. So no chance for Scrypt-N with 14.6?
