what you mean?
what does not work?

Can't get 6 & 7 to start no matter what. I've tried raising voltage and lowering clock speed to no avail.

Try changing the voltage/speed of the others? I have some KNC gear that would act like that and required I actually raise the speed of the bum ones above stock, and in some cases lowering voltage. I've also noticed sometimes neighboring DC's if running too high, would shut down the bum ones. Almost seemed as if they were pulling current away from them.

Thanks for the tips, I'll try that. Can't raise clocks above stock, though. 300MHz is the highest selectable speed.

Any CA batch (batch 0) customers received their bonus Neptune yet?

Have you bothered to read any of KNC announcements?

Go read them, then if you still can't find the answer come back and I will point it out to you.

What's the meaning of Quota?

Strategy: Failover or Load balance? With Failover I don't get a connection with Nicehash.

load balancing doesn't work

Really? 2 cubes work (20-25% rejects) with load balancing and Nicehash (the other 2 cubes don't get recognized).

With failover I don't get a connection to Nicehash.

Have you bothered to read any of KNC announcements?

Yeah, all of them. Every day.

"We are working around the clock to fix the problems"
"We don't know when you will receive your miner"
"If you are having problems, just disable the monitoring software"
"If you are having problems, power cycle it"
"If you are having problems, try switching cables"
"As mentioned here many times, we are working around the clock to fix all the problems"
"No we didn't really mean it when we said we would have all Titan machines shipped before the end of Q3"
"Its all the fault of the pools"
"Cricket, Cricket"
"Go away"
"Don't ask difficult questions"
"We are working around the clock (5 day week, 35 hour week) as fast as we can"

KNC is a POS company actively engaged in avoiding responsibility for the major failure called the Titan

Rufunding all the Titan customers would probably put them out of business.

KNC have admitted on their forum that load balancing is broken. If load balancing worked it would be very easy to refute the KNC lie that all the problems with reduced hash rate at various pools are because the pools aren't set up to handle the 'extreme power' of the Titan.

So they're not in a rush to fix load balancing right now.

Thank's for the info!

Which settings do you have for Quota (1) and Password (x)? In the past there was something like d=0.08 instead of x for the password for GPU miners to reduce the rejects. Can't remember anymore.

I found a config file in the Titan SD image that had a preconfigured max speed of 475Mhz for the Titan.  To overclock the Titan edit waas.c, recompile and install.

Edit: /home/pi/knc-asic/waas/waas.c

Change this line from 300 to 475:

Code:
#define MAX_DIE_FREQ_TITAN              475

Then:

Code:
cd /home/pi/knc-asic/
make raspberry
cp waas/waas /usr/bin/

Next time you restart bfgminer the advanced page will have selectable speeds up to 475 mhz.

FYI: I had a titan cube overclocked to 400Mhz and was getting about 100Mh/s but the hashrate slipped down quickly over time (even though dcdc's were fine). Not sure why, temps were decentsand everything was working fine.

Might try again at some point.

Note if you are overlocking you had better have damn good connections at the PSU and the Titan.  The one I was overclocking was soldered directly to the Titan cube using TWO high quality 6x PCI-E connections (NOT the cheap square pins with the split down the middle).

2 PCI-E 6 pin connections for 1 cube?

I could change the settings from load balancing to failover. With load balancing I had 150 MHs for 2 cubes and 25% rejects, now with failover I have 100 MHs for 2 cubes and 33% rejects.

KNC really needs to ship a bonus Titan to 1 batch buyers. If not then at least an additional module.

dude, if you believe this shit, you should star to read last ~1900 pages again.)

OH! Look ... KnCMiner releases Bitcoin wallet for iOS

In the press release, KnCMiner CEO Sam Cole said:

“Despite some press reports to the contrary, we also have no plans to scale back the individual miner sales segment of our business; we will continue to sell the best cryptocurrency hardware money can buy to anyone who wants to have it. However, to continue doing business at ‘Bitcoin speed’ requires a certain amount of flexibility in the expansion of our business model, so we are looking at areas where we can not only strengthen our company’s position, but give more people more opportunities to participate in the Bitcoin economy.”

LOL

I like the "we will continue to sell the best cryptocurrency hardware" bit  Wink

So I have a die that isn't working.  Running at ~260 Mh/s max since receiving it.

I read this on the KNC titan support forum:

Quote
1 Test the board individually with different data/power cables. Please also plug the data cable in a different port on the controller board. If this board does not have a die issue when ran individually, it is most likely due to a faulty cable connection, or lack of power from the PSU. If you cannot get the die to switch back on, contact support for more assistance.

I tried all of the recommended steps before emailing support.  Not realizing they wanted a screenshot of BFGMiner, I sent them a screenshot of the Advanced screen.  A day later Liam responded back that he would need a screenshot of BFGMiner.  OK, sent them that.

A day later he responds (paraphrasing) "Oh, I see you're mining at <...>  They have problems with the titan.  You should switch to one of these pools <...>

Then he closes the ticket.

Riiight, it's the pool causing a die not to work...WTF  Angry  Roll Eyes

It seems if you took the time to read through threads on KNC's own forum you might actually have found out, yes this is the case, and there is a new interesting thread on the subject.

I just realized that KnC originally promised 250/MH/s. Mathematically this is equal to 250 s/MH. 250 seconds to produce one Megahash is equal to 4 kH/s. Not sure if the Raspberry Pi alone can reach this hashing speed Cheesy

Anyone have shipping updates with their order #'s?

Mine is 198** and still showing nothing but paid.

Don't you just love dealing with these Douche Nozzles?

I second the douche nozzle remark.

That being said...My titan is on truck for delivery today in the United States.  Order # 1990x, paid March 19th @ 16:46 knc time.

Mine also still just shows "paid".  Number 208xx, which was paid 26-November 2013 (I converted a Neptune order).

Perhaps, but was there any actual load balancing going on ? Were you submitting shares to two separate pools via separate workers ?

For Neptune -> Titan conversions it appears that KNC adds you to the shipping queue based on the date of conversion, not the date you originally paid for your Neptune. I don't think KNC has started on the 200xx orders yet. Last I heard someone with a 199xx just got his. They seem to be shipping 40-50 a day but the process is very opaque and they like it that way. They know that if people figured out that they weren't going to get their machines before mid-December they'd have a riot on their hands.
