125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Requesting some facebook support for a new Bitcoin business =) on: July 09, 2014, 05:35:27 AM

Very interesting, I've never worked with facebook marketing in the past. The reason I began with this venture is the need to reach a lot of businesses that use facebook as there primary web presence.

Due to their business model, Facebook is probably one of the worst social media markets for reaching your target audience.  It doesn't mean that successful marketing campaigns can't occur through facebook, but it means that it will tend to be more expensive, and require more effort and more luck (needing the marketing concept to "go viral").

I wish you luck in your effort, but be aware of the conflicts in the way views are handled by Facebook.

Agreed, and I can speak as someone who has done an incredible amount of marketing on Facebook. It used to be amazing when it first began and you didn't have to pay to reach your own fans, who liked your page on their own accord. Now Facebook has turned marketing upside down. Businesses are abandoning it in record numbers.

I definatly see that possibility , that why FB is not going to get $1 from me =)
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Requesting some facebook support for a new Bitcoin business =) on: July 09, 2014, 05:34:25 AM
wish u luck mate, but facebook market? Probably not the good one for searching ur target audiences.

Its debatable at this point, This Forum,Reddit,Coin sites ....ect ect , have alot of great people already involved. My target audience is small businesses looking for a low cost way to accept bitcoin. In some cases they are just curious to how much extra revenue they can make. Alot of these small companies have facebook pages as there sole web presence , this is the only reason I thought to give it a try.

It's a good idea.

I have sales experience and I live near Vancity if you want to put a sales force together pm me.

Defiantly interested in a situation like this. Currently I am talking with my document printer right now about getting a sales flyer made up to hand out to local businesses. In regards to sales I would be open to both the idea of commission or resale situations.

Very cool project!

If I could offer some feedback in a constructive manner I would suggest killing the autoplay on the video.

Also the current events with the background is kind of hard to read.

Outside of those things at first glance you are doing something really cool and I wish you a great deal of success with it!

Appreciate it and agreed on the autoplay, ill take a look at the news shading today =)

telling them how?

the only way i have been made aware of is to snip the blue &/or white wires.

this would have to be a last resort though.

if the sensor is not on the IO board i can only assume its on the power board which could be easily replaced....i assume

Im searching now, I remember a mod that you could SSH and input, just looking for it.

After months of careful preparation, I am proud to announce the opening of:

CRYPTOPICK CANADA
Based in Vancouver BC, Canada.

For the last few years our small group of friends have been tinkering with Bitcoin and mining  from the days of video cards to modern ASIC's. Last year we began seeking out local Vancouver, BC businesses and requesting Bitcoin acceptance in person. Results have been good, but we recieved alot of feedback regarding making Bitcoin acceptance easier. It is with this thought that we decided to make an "all in one kit" for retail businesses. Our kit is simple and includes everything nessesary for a merchant to begin accepting Bitcoin in minutes.

As always , it is our mission to spread the word of Bitcoin at the lowest cost to the adaptor. Our kits have  low profit margins and are designed to be a supporting  tool for current Bitcoin based orginizations and new merchants alike.
For the last two weeks a local business has been running the unit and it is working flawlessly.

Our Current Batch 1 Kit includes the following:
1- DUEL CORE 7" ANDROID TABLET WITH BLOCKCHAIN MERCHANT PRE-INSTALLED
(We can install any required software as there are many choices out there for merchant freeware or direct wallet software)
1-USB MICRO ADAPTER
1-USB PC CONNECT CABLE
1-NORTH AMERICAN 12V POWER CORD
1-BITCOIN TILL STICKER
1-"BITCOIN ACCEPTED HERE" STORE STICKER
1-BITCOIN ROUND STICKER FOR ADDITIONAL STORE MARKETING
1-INSTRUCTION BOOKLET
1-SET OF BITCOIN INFORMATION
1-SET OF INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1- USB STICK WITH MULTIBIT WALLET FILE READY FOR INSTALL
3-CRYPTOPICK HANDOUT CARDS TO HELP SPREAD DEVICE ADOPTION TO SURROUNDING BUSINESSES
This kit is only $175 CAD! with free expedited shipping in Canada ($+25 CAD for USA).

Bitcoin is, of course, accepted and you will receive an immediate 10% discount off the total price!
Shipping within 24 hours!

We believe this package is very competitive and will provide a low cost way for new merchants to accept Bitcoin. If you are currently a Bitcoin based business or enthusiast, this kit is a great way to start accepting Bitcoin immediately.
We ask the Bitcoin community to please show us your support as this is our way of helping us help you! Tell a friend, send the link to local companies, or bump us on this post!
We are open to partnerships and ideas and can be contacted on:
(as "cryptopick" "cryptopickcanada")
-Reddit
-Bitcoin Foundation (Canada Forum)
-Bitcointalk
-http://www.cryptopickcanada.ca/
We thank you in advance for your support.

can you tell me where the heat sensor/s is/are located?

i have tried getting this info from bitmain for a few days but i dont think he actually knows much about the rigs at all.

my 4th (latest) rig is overheating and the fans are cutting out and in and out and in constantly above 65C

so far i can just about control the heat with a 16inch fan blowing right into the rig but its quite unsightly and not a 'long term' fix.

at bitmains request i swapped out the IO board with a functioning rig but this has not made any difference to either rig.

can you help?

When I get back Ill take a picture of the sensor spot , but that may not help, you may be better off telling the fans to run at 100% all the time.
