So the whole website showing the current progress and everything that has already been implemented means nothing???  The fact the price is low is something to be concerned about I agree but just because the Devs are not on here every day like most holding our hands and saying everything is ok and giving us updates doesn't mean there aren't any coming.  Like I have heard numerous times, this is still a coin that's being developed whether it's something we see or it's something that is being done behind the scenes and will see once complete.  This coin is only a few months old at best and I cannot possibly imagine how hard it must be to make everyone happy all at once, develop, have personal lives and still have to come here to listen to all this whining non stop about how this or that sucks and how we as investors are mad about the progress or lack of.  Seems the word patience means very little these days but I honestly think that the ones that have it will be rewarded long term.

I don't know if you ignore the evidence on purpose or are just trying to convince yourself... it's baffling, really. Look, since the coin was released, there has not been any development, any at all, of any significance. 2 deals with third parties that ONLY benefit those third parties (Moolah and the one behind the Visa prepaid card) and, much more importantly, the already widely evidenced -and, de facto, admitted- incompetence of the three devs. It is admitted and for that reason they are looking at what "dev 4" can offer since they are just not capable of even covering the most basic bases of the current coin (working wallet, even a realistic attempt at a multipool...), much less of progress with the project in any technical -or otherwise- way. There's, I repeat, ample evidence of all of this... even now and in the past 2 months, when the devs have had the luxury of vacation tyime to dedicate to Vericoin... imagine what is going to happen going forward when they have many more pressing obligations.

So it isn't a matter of patience at all. It is a matter of, credibly, honestly, taking a deep look at what the project is and where it stands, not patience.

God I hate to quote but maybe this one last time,

Not ignoring any evidence, I just see more potential in this than in others.  The fact that this coin has Devs who are known and do interact with the community, although I can see why they have stopped in here, says a lot.  I used to agree on some of your points till  your posts became vulgar and rather boring to read due to the overall content and length just going on and on about how you think things should be and there's no other way.  Like it's your way or the highway.  I think the fact the Devs have been looking at other possibilities and have finally admitted their shortcomings also says a lot about their character.  I agree on the "Good Guys" theme but I also believe the job is not done and the ink is still wet.  Everyone has their own views and or opinions and this back and forth "No you are wrong and I am right" has to stop.  We just need to come together as a community, hold hands, give a big group hug, kiss and make up.  Let bygones be bygones and let's move forward, give our Devs the support they so desperately need and see this project though to the end.

also if ppl want to see in short what altcoinUK really is about go check out his twitter @altcoinUK ...says it all in a nutshell Wink

Yeah looks like nothing but positive talk about Vericoin, NOT.  Bashing it completely, think you need to take any offers here seriously and just leave this thread.

Funny how you did a complete 360 starting early/mid August up to now as you were originally for Vericoin and now do everything you can to bash it and everyone who believes in it.

AltcoinUK:

And you are saying that nothing you have said was in any way a personal attack against anyone and you are totally innocent?

No idea but perhaps once the Re-launch is complete it will be listed under a new name on more than just MintPal.

Why everyone crying out for ANON... BTC been doing fine for five years without it. Why?. Mtgox hack, black market hacks, who owns who in this unregulated quagmire exactly. WHO HAS BEEN HELD TO ACCOUNT?.

I am asking you Altcoin. Whats the difference between vericoin using the back of bitcoin to do the same thing. ?. Seems you know and preach VRC is bad for one's bag.

Well, I never said ANON is a must, quite the opposite, I subscribe to Barabbas' and Buy4Crypt's "good guys" theme idea which doesn't require the ANON feature.

I am not sure what you mean about the "back of bitcoin", if you refere to the fork then generally speaking nothing wrong with the fork, but everyone expected some innovation top on the Sunny King code base.

first comment in your life that isn't rude or condescending...?!? why the change in tone? hahahah

That's what I was trying to figure out

Doesn't look like OLY coin will be on Mintpal for much longer,  Sad

Hopefully things change

In reading through other threads, I have noticed that Vericoin is rapidly developing a reputation for having a very rude and obnoxious community.  After reading the past few pages it is not difficult to see why.

For those of you that claim to be supporters of the Vericoin, you do realize that most of the new investors you are trying to attract will visit this forum prior to making a buying decision.  Don't you?

I would like to challenge all of you to go back several pages and read them again from the perspective of a new investor investigating the merits of Vericoin.  Now be honest with yourselves and recognize that this potential new investor does not even know how incredibly brilliant you are.

Does this new investor see...

A: ...an active community (with a healthy amount of respectful disagreements) intelligently discussing the future of Vericoin and standing ready to perhaps "assist" the new investor with any questions they might have?

... or ...

B: ...a never ending amount of page filling quotes of quotes of still more quotes of quoted quotes of absolute drivel that has long ago strayed from the original topic and turned into nothing more than a contest to try to prove to the other(s) who has the biggest dick!?

If your answer is "A" please re-read the part about being honest with yourself.  If you answered "B" ask yourself (still from the perspective of a potential new investor) "Do I even want to be involved with this coin"?

Additionally, please be aware that you do not come across the way you might think you do in these slap fests to those of us who may be unaware of how special you are.  Instead, the reader can only conclude that...

1. You (that's right, YOU) are no where near as smart as you are attempting to portray yourself as being.
2. All participants most likely have to employ the use of special tweezers when using the restroom or you would not be so desperate to convince us that you are actually men.

Most of you know who you are but if you are not sure if you are included, there is an easy way to find out.  Are you angered by the above statements and/or are you attempting to find any spelling errors or improper sentence structure that can be used to "shut me up good" in a response to this post?  If so then yes,  I am asking you to grow up and learn to communicate like an adult.

Finally someone with some intelligence and ability to see how it looks from an outsider/prospective investor.

Since I had already wasted my time, here it is:

I like it.

Before it went public I would fix "infraestructure" and "Staggerinly".

Otherwise I think it would reach certain people. Smiley

Multimillion spelled wrong too

Edit:  Oh geez several other misspellings too

One of the very few actually buying: Just got my full (modest) order filled under 9k. People still dumping hands over fists.

The project, with the devs totally absent for all intents and meaningful purposes, is lacking direction and, above all, achievements. No one outside of the fully stretched VRC community, sees any future in this project, the same way they don't in BC. By the time Doug is back from vacation, his hobby project might easily have lost another couple of digits. Nature of the beast. Anyone seeing any reason, any real reason at all for a rebound any time soon? I didn't think so. Neither do all those dumping quite massively every single day...

So they dump and move to projects perceived as having one.

That simple.

But yet you still continue to have your modest orders filled.  Thank you for your support.

Wow, now we have to resort to threats on a public forum over something that can't be controlled?  Nice.  Nobody forced anyone here to put in their hard earned income, especially a broke student into this or any other coin.  Nobody has forced anyone here to stay, the ones that do actually feel there's a lot of potential here.  But hey, again everyone has their own priorities.

Sad people have to put up ridiculous pictures and such to get attention they are obviously not getting in every day life.  Also sad people can spend so much time here fighting over who is right and who isn't.  Guess everyone has different priorities, some more important than others.  Glad to be part of the other side of this community though and support it fully as I'm in for the long haul and have been almost since the beginning. Not a cheerleader, just a man that has my own priorities and see this coin succeeding long term regardless of all the crap that gets said here.

Good call, ignored both of those trolls (bobsurplus and phzi). It is so blatantly obvious when people have a monetary agenda and just spam the same crap over and over like puppets.

You can get the latest list of fudders here so that you do not have to listen to the nonsense.

Needs more, SkyValeey  keshuker  mrkavasaki  ItsNotMe

I don't agree with barabbas being on that list though, there are people who you can disagree with but understand they are not FUD slingers, just different opinion havers ('smoothie' another example imo).

I second that, Barabbas has actually been quite insightful lately and has shown willingness to give constructive criticism.  I have actually enjoyed reading what is said lately compared to oh so many pages ago.  Honestly had you on my ignore list early on.

Does any one know if pool payouts are delayed? My last payment from the pool was 7/21.

Same here, last payout was 7/21, a few others in IRC have said the same thing and devs are looking into it I hope.

Last payout for me was just yesterday 7/22.  Pool looks like it is down for maintenance now

EDIT:  Back online

the blank screen for VRC/Fiat is a  known issue affecting windows users and the Devs are currently working on a fix for it, as for the pool I'm not sure except maybe a drop in hashrate has caused a slow down in payouts, can't say for sure

thx for your reply. The blank Screen is not that bad, it was just an Information for the devs. But some post above a user wrote that he gets more out of the ming pool than usual. If i get less then there is maybe a problem.

What is your hashrate ? Sometimes it dont come in for a few hours but I can see its working because its a bigger payout

I tried both using the same directory as 1.3.3 and I tried a different directory.

I installed 1.3.4 and ran into the error. I also tried reinstalling 1.3.3 and I now get it with that version too where I never did before.

I was getting an error when I tried to install the new version too.  I actually had to uninstall from Add/Remove first, moved my wallet.dat to my desktop, removed the whole Vericoin folder in under user name\AppData\Roaming\Vericoin, restarted my PC and then reinstalled using the new Setup.  After it was done it complained about not having the wallet.dat but gave the option to import which i did by browsing to my desktop and selecting it.  After that it went on to sync normally.  You may want to try and disable any Antivirus you have also.  I believe that was one step I took also.
