i've also talked to my friend, and we might be able to repair old miners which are broken (Deppending on the problem) or if a miner would eventually break down.
126  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Will let your miners run at my place for a small mining %! on: August 24, 2014, 11:28:55 AM
This is a good way to make money rather than mining but you need to do a couple things:

1) Get insurance to cover any damage that would be incurred by something like fire, flood, storm damage, theft.
2) Make a legal contract stating the terms of the hosting and who pays for fees like return shipping and what happens should you become incapacitated.

If you're seriously going to host thousands of dollars of other people's equipment they will come after you with pitchforks if everything goes up in flames or gets stolen.

great answer! all costs would be covered by me, except the first shipping, if someone would want their miner sent back to them then i'll pay for the shipping Smiley
A legal contract is a great ideá and not so hard to fix.
i've already got a great insurance which will cover fire, flood, storm, theft and so on, that was one of the first things i fixed when i thought about starting a huge farm and hosting other peoples mining gear Smiley

This guy will steal your miners. Don't buy in.

come from the right person ''Trust: -572: -15 / +19(19)
Warning: Trade with extreme caution! ''

you have no ideá about that, if i would steal miners i would never be able to expand my planes.

Hello! i have my own power source and i'm building a mining farm atm, but i have so much spare Power, so i thought i'd throw out a Request, for a small Fee i could let your miners run at my place, the power and cooling would be free,i have lots of free space to cover a BIG ''farm''.
Webcams/Various programs will be used so you can monitor the miners 24/7 and control them.
all miners would be welcome then since there's nothing to lose on Electricity, so even those 2 G/HS antminers would come to use.
i live in sweden Smiley.

i know this might sound like a ''scam'', but i'm up for anything to prove i'm not a scammer, just a guy with some free space/colling and power.

if you have any question please post them below !

Ok, but you didn't answer my first question.

i have 2 Houses, 1 of them is my ''main'' house which i live in, the whole house i powered with wind and solar power. i also provide my neighbor with power, in return the pays the bills for my second house (which i never use) i can't provide my second houe with power from my ''main house'' cuz its to far away to transport power to.
if my my neighbor stops paying for the bills on my second house (which will be used for the farm) then i'll just cut his power out and move the farm to my main house.

What is your source of free power?

Is this a legitimate source or will it be cut-off when the real owner or electric company finds out about your hosting operation?

Hello! the source is legit and its been up and running for more then 15 years Smiley so there's NO way it will be cut off.

We will offer:
1: Free Electricity.
2: Free cooling.
3: Free Storage
4: Free ''return shipping''
5: Free Repairs!

this operation will be up and running in 4-5 weeks so we can get all contracts up and ready Smiley

It is not wrong to put inside the freezer electronic equipment like an ASIC  ??

Let assume that your ASICs will work properly into the freezer, you will not spend more energy with the freezer than with a wind tunnel ?

no i won't, even if the wind turbine would fail to produce enough energy then then i always have my Soal panals Smiley
134  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I have My own power source. Should i mine? on: August 22, 2014, 03:07:12 PM
If you are putting the miners in an industrial freezer, and using the freezer to do the cooling, you will need lots of cooling capacity.

It is not the size of the freezer that is important, rather the cooling capacity.  Ten S1 or S3 miners will require about 3,600 kW (one ton) of cooling.

It would be of interest to know the cooling capacity of you freezer if you intend using the freezer cooling capacity.  For example is it a 3 ton, 10 ton or 30 ton freezer.

Also S1 miners are almost obsolete even if electricity is free.  They are only rated at 180/200GHash and each S1 could only expect to return $100 to $200 over its remaining lifetime even with free electricity.  You need 20 or so S1s miners to equal the hash rates of one Neptune or SP30 miner. The S1 miners would also draw far more power than the equivalent S3, Neptune or SP30 miners.

As mentioned earlier the S3 is to be preferred - or S1 to S3 upgrade applied.

its a 40 Ton freezer, it was used to store lab results before, its a ''walk in freezer'' with lots of storage, i can go as low as -60• C.
i was thinking if getting some Neptune's first but i thought i'd take a look on how the S1 doing before i go for something bigger.

If you have access to an industrial freezer and you're going to put miners in there you're doing it all wrong.  Rent out the freezer, take the proceeds and buy BTC.  You'll end up with more BTC and won't be slaughtering the environment.  Putting 4KW of heat inside an enclosed shell is not the best idea - certainly not for energy efficiency.

i don't think any1 would want to Rent my Freezer, i don' even think its Legal since its been used for lab resualts hehe.
if i produce my own Power (Which i do) then i won't be slaughtering the environment,.
the freezer won't have to be clossed, as i said there is a ventelation in it and lots of Holes which can be open/clossed (used for gas to burn the rom in case of an emergency) which i can put all my ventilation in. there's also a HUGE ''fan'' at the top of it which was used for sucking up the smoke afterwards, the fan is still there and working to (its a 1x1M fan). i could also use Liquid cooling if needed on the miners.

Okey, i'm going to start with 10x S1 Antminers for 1000USD and buy the upgrade kit as soon as possible.
Starting to build My mining rig inside a 5x5 meters industrial freezer with ventilation, that should keep the cooling on a steady level

Why not start with 10 S3 Antminers? No need to hassle with the upgrade kits afterwards.

i can't get my hands on S3 Antminers until 20 sep for some reason. :/

Hello! I have My own power source (solar and wind) should I start mining?
And if so what should my first purchase be?

How much "free" power are you generating? I see that nobody asked you about your power circuit capacity which is strange.

Enough to power more then 1000 Antminer S1 Smiley

140  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I have My own power source. Should i mine? on: August 20, 2014, 12:11:15 AM
Do you think that if i do buy some miners, let's say 1-2 TH/s t start off with, will i be able to pay them off with mining ?

No.  Did you notice that difficulty jumped 20% today?  That's 20% less earnings for the rest of the miners life since difficulty is probably not going down until 2016 when the 1/2ing occurs.  In 12 days there will be another increase.

If you like mining and are willing to lose money to do so then feel free to do it.  Unless you have free power it's not currently viable to make an ROI.

i have free power, that's why i'm asking if i should mine and if i would earn on it.
