122  Economy / Economics / Re: Open a bank account without many papers that will respect my privacy on: December 16, 2015, 07:41:54 PM
Hi

I am looking to open a bank account outside of Greece to avoid capital control limits so i can get payments there and then to be able to sent them to online exchange sites so i can buy Bitcoins Smiley

Is such a service exist? It will be great if they don't ask a lot of papers and don't reveal a lot of my personal info.....

Thank you

There are many countries where you can open an account, however every country will require personal information. Some to look at would be Singapore, Hong Kong, BVI, Cayman Islands and Seychelles.

Betting on sport = gambling?
Please write your mind.

Anytime you bet on something and you have a chance to lose your money it is gambling whether that be on sports or the stock market.  With sports you have a better chance at winning similar to stocks because you can do you research and crunch the numbers.  Politicians will have you believe that investing in the stock market is not "gambling" but it is all just symantecs.  It is all gambling, but again you have better odds when doing certain types of gambling.

Agreed.  Please move this tournament back to Sunday.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: December 11, 2015, 07:41:37 PM
Let's be honest. Gambling should only be considered for entertainment purposes only. If you are in need of quick cash, doing hard dirty work is more often than not better than hitting up the casino sites. I see way too many people in this section try to justify their gambling habits by saying they have strategies to always win. Others on this forum will go as far as to say that they are professional gamblers, and they always win. You're fooling no one and you look stupid.

All the gambling addicts I knew in real life who claimed to win from casinos all the time had serious mental issues. I went gambling with that guy once, and he ended up blaming me for him loosing at Pai Gow poker, a game that's 100% chance.

And just to let you guys know, ALL the casinos in my jurisdiction say the same things in public advertising campaigns. So far, my sig campaign manager has not PM'ed me telling me to quit bashing gambling. Nobody wins gambling, so lets stop pretending anyone here makes a living gambling online.

Everyone does not lose in the long run.  There are many professional poker and sports gamblers.  It takes discipline, intelligence and some luck, but some people are very successful and this is their career.  I only say this about poker and sports wagering.  The others you will lose over time no matter what.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there a difference between buying shares in the stock exchange and gambling? on: December 11, 2015, 07:06:39 AM
I think stock exchange one can make money in the long run but in gambling most likely every one will lose money. What you guys think?

You must differentiate between the types of gambling.  I would say based on empirical data experienced betters in sports wagering and poker can earn a significant amount of bitcoin / money and in fact do every year.  I would argue that specifically poker and sports wagering when done right at the professional level are better than trading stocks because in sports you know so much more about the teams that are playing, the players, their history, the weather, etc. and in poker you have percentage odds and strategies that increase your chances of winning.  At their core, stock trading and sports and poker gambling are all just gambling, but just as the experienced stock trader can win, so too can the experienced sports bettor and poker player.
127  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: December 11, 2015, 07:02:32 AM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?

It really depends on what your goals are.  You can't save your way into real wealth.  If you really want to be wealthy, you must take risks and often times that means investment.  If your goal is to diversify your asset classes, I would encourage you to place a percentage of your fiat into bitcoin.  Truly the best ways to go are to invest in businesses, but they must be well researched, thought out and you must have a clear path to get back your investment and make money long term.  Good luck
128  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: December 11, 2015, 06:59:49 AM
What are the future projections for Bitcoin?

Bitcoin or some form of cryptocurrency will become a worldwide alternative currency used by billions of people around the world.  Some governments will try to ban it but very similar to the Internet, bitcoin will maintain its presence and grow.  Bitcoin will change the world of finance in a greater way the Internet has changed the world for information.  It's still very young and the future is bright.
129  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetcoinPoker.com Betcoin.ag-Big Tourneys-BONUS-Freerolls, Ring Games, Real Poker on: December 11, 2015, 06:54:50 AM
I think I said this once before as well:

Arguing with someone on the Internet is like playing chess with a pigeon. You may be good at chess, but the pigeon is just going to knock all the pieces down, take a shit on the table, and strut around like its victorious.

So do I waste my time arguing with the people on the Internet?  No thanks.  For the record, I got destroyed at Nitrogen (which is my favorite book) and Betcoin in sports this year and have been relegated to smaller amounts or be homeless.  It's under control though.
130  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetcoinPoker.com Betcoin.ag-Big Tourneys-BONUS-Freerolls, Ring Games, Real Poker on: December 10, 2015, 11:51:49 PM
Betcoin has been run out of town.

I think they were forced to decide between ignoring what they want to ignore and having a presence in the forums.

Yes that's too bad.  They were probably forced to decide whether having an argument on the Internet was worth it and from what I see here, it never is.  There were some legitimate questions, but they seem to be addressing them at the site.  Anyways, I am very glad for the introduction to bitcointalk.  I have learned a tremendous amount from many people here.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any advantages from gambling? on: December 10, 2015, 11:06:42 PM
I saw people discussing only issues of gambling but no one telling about advantage. So many gambling houses are coming up so is there any advantages to player or houses?

Gambling is great entertainment for me.  Some people enjoy going to games and I enjoy wagering on the games.  It adds an excitement to them that is far better than just watching the game.  Any losses for me are just the price I pay for fun.  I also, don't go overboard with my gambling.

I actually came to ask about the bitcointalk tournament but I will also send a ticket because I don't see OP for the bitcointalk thread here.  Will that run this weekend.  Great value and good concept.

Are you still having the BitcoinTalk tournament this weekend?  If so Saturday or Sunday?  Is OishiMike still updating the leaderboard here?  I will also ask on the forum.  Thanks.  Any bounties scheduled?

No response to your ticket?  Almost 24 hours?  Weird....

The tournament will happen this saturday at 2pm est.  The leader board will continue, bounties will be announced.

I actually forgot to send the ticket but when I did just after my second post today they responded within a few minutes.  I want them to respond here so that it becomes more productive in here again but I understand why they haven't.

Thanks for the update twitchyseal as I do see it in the lobby for this Saturday.  Any idea how I can make myself a bounty?
133  Economy / Gambling / Re: Saturday Dec. 5th - BitcoinTalk 6 Seat No Limit Showdown Series at Betcoin.AG on: December 10, 2015, 11:00:13 PM
Just over 3 hours until game time!  Get in and win!

I was able to find the tournament for this Saturday.  Will you be updating the leaderboard?

135  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: December 10, 2015, 07:45:23 PM
Just wondering when everyone buys bitcoin, weekly, monthly or just on the falls?  thinking of setting up something regular to ride out the waves.....  Grin

My business accepts bitcoin and I keep 50% of it and convert the other 50% into fiat currency for cash flow.

137  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is your favorit Bitcoin gambling site and why? on: December 10, 2015, 01:46:51 AM
Question in the title. What is your favorit Bitcoin gambling site, and why do you think so?

Betcoin.ag for the all around experience and mix in Nitrogen for the sports.  There is no bitcoin casino that combines the poker, sports, casino and dice like Betcoin and I like to play it all.  Great tournaments and a good VIP program.
138  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetcoinPoker.com Betcoin.ag-Big Tourneys-BONUS-Freerolls, Ring Games, Real Poker on: December 09, 2015, 08:00:14 PM
You guys are funny.  All the problems you have but you still play everyday.  One thing I have learned is people vote with their actions.  There are many great options out there ACR, SWC, Nitrogren kinda for poker definitely for sports, but you continue to play on Betcoin which says a whole lot about how you really feel.  Also, I remember just 2 months ago when I couldn't find a ring game 24 hours a day, now I can, which also says a whole lot.

I actually came to ask about the bitcointalk tournament but I will also send a ticket because I don't see OP for the bitcointalk thread here.  Will that run this weekend.  Great value and good concept.

Appreciate the updates and have really enjoyed my time at Betcoin Poker, I remember two months ago when ring games were not even running 24 hours a day.  Now they are.  Keep up the good work.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When choosing an online casino, what do you look for? on: December 08, 2015, 07:36:44 PM
Look for the casino that provides you the best value for you time and bitcoin spent.  Great VIP rewards etc, because most casinos offer the same games and have at least decent customer service.  Clearly all the reputable ones also provide good cashout speeds.  Therefore, take a good look at VIP programs and do they offer it across all of their options.  I prefer casinos that have everything because I like variety including poker, sports, casino and dice.
