Initially I was against the idea of Nigerian going back to farming as said by the former president buhari but after reading your post, it occurred to me that he had a good vision but with the wrong mindset and strategies of achieving them. After telling the citizens to go into farming, assuming he being an example, set a big contract on agriculture in a large scale farming by producing some vital raw materials needed by the country and outsiders with the help of some farm machineries, it would have helped the economy as time progresses but, he didn't work towards achieving this goal for the benefit of the country but rather he used a wrong strategy by trying to force it upon the citizens individually.

Assuming a large scale farm was created as a project for the country, it would have helped in reducing the rate of unemployment in the country, most of those citizens who studied agriculture could have been employed while even uneducated would also be employed.

However, seeing that our leaders don't have a concrete plan in ending inflation and continues importation, I can't blame any body most especially youths, for trying as much as possible to survive by focusing on other ways to make money.
128  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What makes cost of living still high in Nigeria when dollars loose value. on: March 29, 2024, 10:39:02 AM
I guess the government do not want deflation but just want to manipulate things in the way that will only favour themselves (the government).

Accurately correct. This is my believe and that is what's going on right now. The government are fully aware of their own roles that is needed to be played to make life easier for its citizens, yet they choose to look towards another direction and try to manipulate the inflation. If our government are really concerned about our welfare they would have removed the fuel subsidy when they saw that the citizens are suffering from inflation to help reduce the the cost of fuel so that transportation would reduce. But they kept deaf ears and try to put the blame on cryptocurrency p2p.

When it comes to reduction of price of things as the naira gains value, I'll say it's let give the market a little time. Most traders bought some of their goods at high price so we cannot just expect them to sell at loss just because the price just reduced.
129  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Government demanding from Binance the lists of its Nigerian users on: March 29, 2024, 10:25:15 AM
It wrong for binance not to have a registered license with the country and sueing them to court for that is right, but just as Nwada001 said, how about the false accusations on binance for manipulating the naira value against the dollar. Without proper research, they openly accused binance, and now what? In normal settings binance is not going to let that slide so easily so this might even lead to the end of binance operation in Nigeria totally or even the world. That is, if the case Intensifies and the regulators get involved in this.  Because I remember clearly that towards the ending of last year, the regulator and SEC charged binance for money laundry and now they are facing charge of illegal operation without licence in 2 countries.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you need to have spare USDT in this bullrun. on: March 28, 2024, 08:10:30 AM
I personally don't like investing in altcoins, but for those who are into altcoin investment having some USDT is a vital thing you shouldn't miss out because even when you thing you've got the right coins in your portfolio, you might still end up seeing a different thing when the bull begins. There are some coins that even after making your search on coins, you might omit them for some reasons or you might not even got in touch with them, but as they start increasing, that when you start seeing that they are potential coins for investment.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Ethereum's biggest competitor? on: March 28, 2024, 07:39:36 AM
In my own opinion, for now Ethereum being the kind of altcoins doesn't have any competitor on ground. Though BNB and Solana are looking forward to getting close to Ethereum but they are still way too far from Ethereum. The market cap of Ethereum is more than 4x of the market of either BNB or Solana. Therefore I'll say there is no competition there, the only competition we have is between BNB and Solana who will take the position of the 3rd best altcoin based on market cap as USDT is the second in the top listed altcoins.
132  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Health issues associated with the use of computer on: March 28, 2024, 07:00:30 AM
5. Radiation: most computer screens have cathode ray tubes (CRT), which emit X-ray radiation that is extremely bad for the health. Being exposed to radiation can increase one’s risk of cancer, migraines, and tumors. It can also lead to miscarriage or birth defects in pregnant women.

This radiation part, aside just the rays that are being emitted by the CRT, computers also emits electro magnetic wave, that are also harmful to the body system. That is why we are advised to try as much as possible to keep our phone further away from our heads as possible. Even when you want to make a phone call, it's better you use a Bluetooth or a headphone. And there is something I observed while using my old PC, I plugged it to light and I also plug those cheap earpiece that has one silver design on the ear part. While I was using it, I was feeling some electric shock, by right earpiece supposed to be using milliamps of current while using a voltage range from 3volt and below which shouldn't be able to cause any electrical sensation. Hence, it's unsafe to use your direct earpiece when your device is plugged on to light.
133  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nobody know tomorrow (Entrust your account to someone else). on: March 28, 2024, 05:30:39 AM
I believe say one of the purpose of holding Bitcoin na to pass am to our children because those small sats wey we dey see as nothing when e reach their time, e go surely get value pass wattin we dey see now. So as your children they grow make you no forget to teach them about Bitcoin because nowadays small pikin of 2 years don already know the use of money so from there you fit just dey use play take they tell them the meaning of Bitcoin and crypto in general, then when them don they mature like 5 years you fit tell them say you get some Bitcoin. With all the teaching wey you don give at that time them supposed to know say na secret between you and them.
134  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin no be old school on: March 27, 2024, 08:57:06 PM
Exactly my point, they think they have known it all just because Bitcoin didn't give them a quick profit. Bitcoin is actually a long term project, and it should be kept that way, rather than comparing it with altcoins.

Normally Bitcoin no go fit behave like shitcoins, e get particular pattern wey Bitcoin dey operate, that na why most of this investors them dey compare with altcoins, but them dey forget say when Bitcoin start e been just dey like the way many of this shitcoins Dem be now,  na the trust wey people get for am naim make am rise like this, nothing else. Assuming say people  no enter the market, then I no sure say altcoin sef for even dey exist in the first place.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to Research a Token/Coin on: March 27, 2024, 01:43:26 PM
From my opinion, if the foundation is weak then the coin is definitely weak, looking at the source matters a lot and if a coin is not genuine you'll know from the community, I hardly believe in review cause most review are false I will rather observe carefully for awhile first like how far has this project gone. Check if the project is making any success or loss by calculating cause I believe every inform concerning a coin must not be hidden like the marketcap, price etc. Researching can be difficult but not all investors are ready to pass through same stress so they go easy and trusted coin.

Your correct mate, most of those reviews can be bought or paid for by the developers of the coin, all in the name of capturing more investors into their coin. Hence, personal research is the best way to get a good token/altcoin for investment.even some shitcoins could have a very good and eye catching white paper with enticing words so believing entirely on white paper is not something I'll advise any person looking for the right altcoins to focus on. Though it's very important that you read the white paper to give clear insight why the developers made the coin and what are their purpose but that shouldn't be the only criteria to searching for a good altcoin to invest in.
136  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The sooner you find an alternative the better on: March 27, 2024, 01:28:34 PM
But seriously, na serious situation we dey face for Nigeria as e concern crypto. No be only binance wey Federal Government wan cause problem, other exchanges dey under threat, and as you talk am, the effect fit go extend to crypto community for the country as a whole.
But make we no just dey focus on di negative side alone. As you know, e fit make this issue push more people to di crypto space, e fit make people take di matter go court, and if we fit be optimistic, make we imagine say all this issues fit help in the long run as e go force the government to dey do proper research and realize say crypto na im be the future of finance.

My brother, with the way the federal government dem dey present this crypto matter, I no sure say e dey make look good or even add benefit to crypto, rather e dey spoil our reputation and cryptocurrency reputation. Because I no understand wattin reach to arrest exchange official in the first place, though I hear say e don escape but that fit even put fear for other exchange body make them for make changes to remove us from p2p totally.
E get one thing about this our government and that na be say even when them know say this thing wey Dem dey do na bad thing, them go just carry their face look another direction with the mindset say, this na my turn to me, this cryptocurrency matter na to just use am destroy the reputation of the cryptocurrency so that, the citizens without knowledge go say crypto na scam meanwhile those wey know the benefits no much like that.
137  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Regulation of price by the government on: March 27, 2024, 11:21:52 AM
Actually the dollar to naira rates still dey volatile even though say e don come down small so the price of good no go fit just reduce, some of this traders still need to monitor the market price upto a month make them for no sell their goods to loss. So I dey blame them yet but when them don go market go buy at a cheaper price come dey sell am give us costly na that time naim we fit say make the government them come in to regulate price. But one funny thing na be say, the government them go dey very quick to shook mouth for price regulation but them no go like admit the fault wey dey come from their side, or even try to solve am. Since tinubu do remove fuel subsidy e observe say the cry from citizens don increase but e no dey do anything to change the issue.
138  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be very careful third party account on: March 27, 2024, 05:28:41 AM
It is because of dispute, so that the sender can show proof that he sent the money and the transaction is already successful. Once the exchange see the name correspond with your exchange name, they will know that you are the one that actually send the money. But if the name is different, they will disregard your report because the exchange will not know if you are the one that send the money or not.

Very correct sir, this is why we should take the advise of using our real name in both KYC and account to be used in receiving or sending money. Because when e go burst na for you to just forget about that money because you no go fit hold anybody responsible either the exchange of the p2p merchant. Na why exchange dey advise make you name for both dey the same. Mostly when them go get person down na when e wan buy, and na em come send fiat first, that one na otilor because the Marchant go just carry your money zoom, but if the Marchant na good person e fit send you your coin.
139  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Exchanges Website Nor Dey Open Again? on: March 27, 2024, 05:19:54 AM
My oga that online problem no be for online binance , because almost all the CEX dey get the error even the supposed kucoin wey you dey talk and moreover me no really get any issues because my coins na for non-custodial wallet e dey so na anytime I wan sell nai I dey move am go any exchange of my choice because the transaction fee of 1-2$ to go kill and e no fit make me go save coins for one CEX then later come dey hear story that touches.

If na only the website Dem block, that means we no get issue because their apps them still dey work except binance. But for them to just block all the exchange site make we for no get access to Dem, fit mean say Dem still get plans for all other exchanges apart from binance. Normally na non custodial we suppose we use take hold our coins make we for no go here stories wey exchanges dey put on. So my brother na the best decision you take so.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake it all put of over confidence in your club on: March 26, 2024, 12:39:23 PM
This is another mistake some gamblers make by playing gamble in working hours, and one of the simplest truth to this matter is that, those who can't resist but to play gamble on working hours are actually addicted. It might not be severe but they are addicted because they no longer have control over their emotions, hence gamble can even make them do certain things that they ought not to do and they just concur just because of the desperation they have in satisfying that inner thought. However I have never tried it before because I know how gamble could change your emotion if you experience too much loss irrespective of using a specific amount for gambling only. My work is currently the only steady source of income and I wouldn't like to mess things for my self by letting gamble change my emotion and action around my working environment.
