121  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: February 15, 2015, 08:21:05 PM
This must be a fairly big problem to be down this long  Huh

I am guessing would  have to be something related to the new version coming out. I don't see what other problem could happen else wise.
122  Economy / Services / Re: [INT. CALLS] [Untraceable] Chiliphone on: February 15, 2015, 07:26:43 PM
I am still curious about this. Does anyone know if its completely anonymous ?
I saw an altcoin for the purpose too, but was curious, if using this would be an option to make anonymous calls ?

You're basically just using a pre-paid phone that routes through the server IP to make calls. No personal ips are logged or anything.

Just  tested  it, yeah its pretty awesome. Smiley

124  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dice Bot Challenge on: February 15, 2015, 07:01:02 PM
The Challenge is to create a betting strategy that will last 1 million bets without crashing. Your starting balance is 0.05 BTC and will be run on a simulator using the primedice provably fair algorithm. The highest balance after 1 million bets, wins. Everybody will be using the same server seed and client seed. To enter post your strategy.

Example strategy:

Multiplier = 6x (Over 83.49)
base bet = 2 satoshi
after 3 losses double bet
after win return to base

Maybe keep betting 1 satoshi at 1.1x and keep betting. You will lose one out of 10 on average and will have a lot of bets before you bust

127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "What does in mean in practice that bitcoin and blockchain are separated?" on: February 15, 2015, 06:26:38 PM
I think it means that bitcoin is just a digital currency. But its the blockchain, that makes it unique and different from all the other digital currencies. its special because of blockchain,

129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Somebody is mining at Microsoft's 138.91.94.19 on: February 15, 2015, 06:13:03 PM
...

138.91.94.19 shows up lately as one of the top three or so "unknowns" that have won recent blocks (from blockchain.info's "Mining Pool Stats").

A Google search shows that is owned by Microsoft.

blockchain.info shows that they have won 20 blocks recently (just past noon US ET Sunday).  That puts them in first place among the "unknowns", those 20 wins beat both Slush and Eligius (19 and 16 blocks, respectively).

https://blockchain.info/pools

Maybe its someone at their office Tongue Now he will be caught and fired for mining bitcoin at work.
130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Those hodling >10btc since last ath on: February 15, 2015, 06:10:57 PM
Im extremely calm and im able to hold my BTC without having constant arrhythmias. The long term mind is the winning mind.

132  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: oilpalas.com on: January 31, 2015, 06:40:47 PM
Is anyone else having the same problem as me !!!

I have invested a small amount into this, $10.99 to be exact, i was curious to see how it really works like everyone was saying, ok i invested 6 days ago, and this was for 24 hours and return is 103%. Ok odds do seem unrealistic, but gave it a shot as seems to be the only one going still.

I waited my 24 hours out and there was no interest and nothing to withdraw, i tried to withdraw my balance, it said pending for a day and then put it back to my account.

And again still nothing, i haven't had no response to my email, and i know of people who are still investing.

Has anyone else had any problems?

Also i am new here, and new to BTC!!!! but we all gotta start from somewhere.

Please speak up.

You have probably be scammed, or lost on a ponzi. You should never in any such sites which promise you guaranteed returns , without any proof.
90% of them are scams, which pay in the beginning and stop later once enough people fall for them.

135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help with Bitcoins please..URGENT on: January 31, 2015, 06:12:36 PM
Guys, I have to do a paper on the title- Is bitcoin a viable alternative to money as we know it....and if not, could it be one in the future.

Basically, I need to know what bitcoin is, how it works, how it is similar/different to normal money, how it affects the economy of a country and what are its future prospects.

Any help will be greatly appreciated...I dont mind if you send me a link where I can read up on the topic.

Thanks for the help.

Well you can just google or search google for similar topics on bitcointalk and reddit. I am sure there is a ton of information out there accessible, by just one google search.

137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hacked at Exchanges contribute to Bitcoin price going lower on: January 31, 2015, 06:01:35 PM
The latest hack at exchange 796 where a 1000 BTC was stolen recently.  It seems like these stolen coins are quickly converted to fiat that caused the recent slump in bitcoin prices.  There are just more bitcoins being sold than there are demand for them.  It a good time to buy at these low prices.   Grin

Well 1000 BTC is only around 300K$
I don't think bitcoin is so week, that the price would see a very Large drop only because an amount of 300K$   was hacked or stolen.
138  Economy / Speculation / Re: If someone buys Bitcoin today, they'll be lucky to see a 300%+ ROI. on: January 31, 2015, 05:58:59 PM
Yea we pretty much bottomed out here. Good times ahead. Finally!

Sure we may go down a little more but not by much. Smiley

I am sure 90% of the people are waiting for next year to end , and see what happens after the halving happens.
139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best faucet ? on: January 31, 2015, 05:55:39 PM
Faucets like https://freebitco.in/ are great for newbies to get started and learn up more about bitcoins. I'm sure the scenario compared to years ago have changed when you could virtually get good amount of coins just from faucet alone as it was cheap at that time. Once you get the hang of it, it's time to find other means to acquire the coins. Providing services or even buying are some examples. Or you could just work your way through with real job to get the money and buy the coins.

I think thi is the faucet most people are aware of and use regularly. However a lot of new faucets are coming up.
140  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where do you invest your money? on: January 31, 2015, 05:54:18 PM
I invest mostly in BTC, HYIP and PTC sites.
I'm aware that each investment is risky and never invest more than I can afford to loose.

Instead of investing in sevearl options, why don't you just invest all in one of the safest options ?
I am sure, atleast you won't lose any money that ways.
