121  Economy / Services / Re: sha-256 , and cpu rig rentals on: December 12, 2016, 01:25:05 PM
Hello J, thanks alot for your rentals so far. Pleasure doing business with you.
And to others, i highly recommend  using his services. I am currenly renting few THS from him on a weekly basis and havent had any issues.

If anyone has any questions feel free to reach out.

Testimonial from newbie member here is not valid unless you provide some proof that you are really renting his rig.

@OP. Can you please explain me further on how can i have profit on renting your rigs? Please explain me the process and provide some simple calculations. And why do you prefer to rent it rather than use it to mine for your own profit?

not sure how he can prove it other then maybe posting up some of our pm's and talking back and forth on mrr.

anyways to answer ur question theres no way to prove that u can make a profit renting rigs . thats for you to figure out if u can pay x amount of btc per th or gh etc to mine whatever coin u want to mine , i do not rent out my machines unless i get more then what i would mine btc directly for ( doesnt have to be a huge amount over).
basically if somone finds an alt coin they can make more profit over btc mining they know they can offer x amount of btc for x amount of hash and still make money in doing so.this makes me a lil more then normal and makes the person renting a lil extra money as well

when i had the time i used to chase alt coins as if u know what ur doing u can actually make a good bit more then mining btc , i just dont have the time anymore to chase alts.

Do you rent out miners or is this just cloud mining? Do you have a website? Are there any testimonials we can look at?

Most (if not all) cloud mining operations are ponzis so that's why I'm asking.

i am not a cloud mining service nore do i have a website , im just a miner who rents out some of his hardware from time to time
, i will ask a few ppl who have accounts on the forums here to come and post about there experiances renting miners from me

this is a slightly older shot but heres some of my hardware , have lots of s7 and s9's now and all the s3's are gone

126  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mining in the cold on: December 09, 2016, 08:03:05 AM
Only issue is if you turn it off, it wont start hashing cold.

this^^^

were i live it can get to 20* below  , i feed my miners filtered air from outside in the winter , if u need to power off and power the miner back on in that kind of temp it usually wont restart.

last winter i had to keep a hair dryer in my datacenter for restarting miners when it got cold out , oddly enough the  only ones i had issues with were the miners that used the beagle bone controllers , all the s3;s would start right up no matter how cold , for this winter i have restricted the fresh air intakes a bit to keep the miners warmer , and all is good , though our coldest night so far was only 2*

as mentioned s7 and s9 miners do not like to run very cold, so if u have those u may have issues,, spondoolies gear absolutely loved the cold , infact im still runing a bunch of sp20 and sp31's, older miners like the s1/s3/s4/s5 walso ran just fine in the very cold temps , with the exception of restart issues on the s4 and s5's , warming up the controllers with a hair dryer on low solved that issues though if they wouldnt boot up on there own

i dont expect any issues this year though with the restricted air intakes  and the fact i have alot more gear now and it keeps the building decently warm

You sure you still want to run the S2?
Specifications Antminer S2:

Hashrate: 1,000GH/s (1 TH/S)
Power consumption: less than 1,100W from the wall

those are s4's and they still turn a profit for me , i have  .6 MW of power available so its not like im hurting for power for the s7/s9's

thats almost 1400 watt for 2 terrahash, you have free energy?

not free but very very cheap , the more i use the cheaper it gets as well

Where are you located? You are very lucky with your electricity prices  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy I wish I had those prices then I could mine too  Grin

You should consider hosting other peoples miners so you can get even cheaper electric.

utah, usa . i do host for some ppl mostly ppl ive made friends with from various mining pools.i just dont advertise it, but if anyone needs some small scale hosting i can do it( i.e 1-4 machines etc ) i have no interest in hosting large mining operations i.e 50-100 machines etc

131  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: PSU for SP20 on: December 08, 2016, 12:34:18 AM
since removing mine from my datacenter i run them in pairs on enermax revolution 87 psus downclocked to about 800gh each at roughly 450w each
when i had them in my datacenter i ran them off a 2880w psus, 3 per psu at roughly 1.5th each.
i like the sp20's alot but as said they are getting very dated , good reliable machine to learn with though

i have a couple , were u located so i can figure out shipping cost , and how much u offering

Was hoping to not pay more than 0.05 BTC including shipping to Charlotte, NC area.  Might also be open to trades.

let me know the zipcode and ill get a shipping quote , if shipping isnt to bad i can do that , i have 8 good cubes just taking room up in my datacenter , and i hate throwing out good equipment

139  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 18, 2016, 04:12:24 PM
Will Antminer S9's just stop mining if the internet goes down?

I want to set up a temp switch that just shuts off the ethernet switch if the temp gets too warm.

Would this harm the S9's?

when the internet went down at my dc 2 times ( one due to the main switch/hub dieing , and once due to isp issues ) all of my miners just start beeping and sit idle.
it takes about 1-3 minutes from the they loose connection till they start beeping and go idle .

u shoudlnt have to go threw all that as the miners should stop mining if they get to hot anyways
140  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 17, 2016, 07:44:08 PM
ive got a customers s9 in my datacenter that stopped hashing what i noticed is on the system tab , under overview were it says kernal info its saying socket error refused to connect or something to that extent ( should have taken a screen shot ) anyways the miner is not hashing and is not showing a red light.
i rember seeing something about this issue in this thread somewere but i cant seem to find it now

any idea on what i need to do to fix this , so far a reboot has not helped
