Proud Boys reached the Senate floor

Let’s call this for what it is.  An attempted coup.

Let's call your posts for what they are: left wing disinformation.

Antifa/BLM members, posing as Trump supporters:

Also notice that guy to the left of center, with what appears to be a hammer and sickle tattoo on his left hand.

I will say the "Alert levels" things are completely useless, no question there.
But media and authorities scaring peoples really feeling bad for this all because its nothing bad as they are doing this all.
Fail. I've had six people around me die due to COVID19, two who said "THIS IS NOT THE FLU" before they went. This is exceptionally serious.
I also have few peoples but good thing these all recovered and now feeling much better I am also feeling its really matter of worry but not like its showing on media.

Don't mind lightfoot, he is full of shit anyways, and for his next post he will promote P-100's.
Also queuing philipma, and a post about chronic damages from COV and his wife.

If I ever find a friend of a friend who has died from COV, I will let you know.

I'm still not tired to point out that most social and economic problems on this planet are results of poor education.

Exactly.
If that wasn't the case, then people like lightfoot would be rendered powerless.

Of the dozen or so people I know first hand who've had it, one was hospitalized and on a respirator, the rest had very mild cases, ranging from a bad cold to loss of smell and taste only.

It was not worth destroying economies over IMO, but that's where we're at.

If you sold on the dip, I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems, but hodling ain't one.
But currently every one cannot do this all like you because there are too many issues with many members.

Every person here is in a unique situation. We all just have to try to make the best decisions that we can for ourselves.

Old Poll:

Thanks to Eddie for suggesting the new poll. It's dedicated to long time WOer Hairy, who always provides valuable analysis.

I know the poll options are not mutually exclusive. Pick one  Wink

New poll! It's tricky deciding on reasonable results when bitcoin is behaving like this. It reminds me of the stress of poll making in late 2017, when all the results were basically obsolete the next day. A good problem to have for sure.

But at the same time the dude GETS bitcoin.

Clearly he does not. He just called censorship-resistance and privacy "bad ideas."

And he is right about the bit with trusted layer two like Square.  And lightning is a hobbyist platform today.  Square/CashApp is an actual working product people use.  And before you sling at me too hard... I run 2 lighting nodes.

He's wrong about LN as it is not a competitor of PayPal and Square! It was not developed for that purpose, and its not a centralized entity, much less a corporation. His comparison of LN with the other two is farcical at best and reflects an extremely poor understanding of bitcoin at worst.

Were just gonna disagree on this one.  I see some 3D chess.  I think there is 0% chance he gets why bitcoin is a good place to park a billion dollars, but does not realize censorship resistance is a key reason.  In fact he's made that exact argument several times.

So why, then, would he say the thing he said?

Occam's razor.  It's not even really 3D or Chess...  It's checkers really.

The Michael Saylor quote is being taken out of context. He's arguing that bitcoin needs to be portrayed differently to bring in more of the traditional Wall Street bankers.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

The rally continues... currently $19330USD/$25050CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Even had an ATH for the first time in 3 years. Still feels too early for full-fledged celebration though.

The battle for $20k could take some time. Go Bitcoin go.

OK then... one little meme:

Agree with all this.

Doesn't feel real yet, but I think that's just mild denial.  Sure is fun. Smiley

This year seems similar to 2016, but with less elation. In 2016 we were probably all elated because we had confirmation that bitcoin was not dead.

Post-2016, we know that bitcoin will be around forever. The stakes are not as high. It's going to take more than a $20K BTC price to impress me.

Anyone know why Max Keiser keeps saying 28k?  What's special about 28k?

I listened to his show a couple weeks ago and I thought he said something about a long term trendline there. Maybe it's a fib?
