Press Release = https://mtgox.com/press_release_20120531b.html
Video = https://vimeo.com/43018430

TOKYO - JAPAN - May 31, 2012 - After the successful launch of our first e-Commerce API we are now proud to announce our first dual pricing checkout button for a fast and easy way for you to accept Bitcoins payments on any existing website or other online service accepting HTML or BB Code.

Available to all Mt.Gox account owners this new service is tailored for any one interested in reselling goods or any personal items online whenever they want!

Sell your products online now!
Accessible via the user account page through the Mt.Gox Checkout Button page, the Button Generator interface will guide you step by step through the process of creating a unique payment button that will fit perfectly on any web page whether personal or professional.

To create your first button, just enter a selling price in either USD, EUR, JPY or in Bitcoin, a unique description of what you are selling and you are done! Of course in order to get the best out of your Payment button we also included some optional basic features including email notification as well as a very handy Autosale mode that will automatically sell the Bitcoin you receive in your Mt.Gox account's default currency at market price.

Should you set your selling price in USD or any other traditional currency, the Checkout Button will automatically display in real time the actual value of the product you are selling in both Bitcoin and the selected currency. Please note that at this time the dual price feature is not fully supported by Internet Explorer 9.

Need to get more out of your Button?
Rest assured that advanced users have not been forgotten here as well! By choosing “Advanced Settings”, you can tweak your button's Return URL, Cancel URL, add Custom Datas as well as being able to add your IPN Address.

Dual Pricing, now a reality!
To help make the transition to Bitcoin easier for your customers, we added a unique “Dual Pricing” feature that will automatically show your price in both Bitcoin and in any other currency currently supported by Mt.Gox!

Regards,
Mt.Gox Co. Ltd Team.

122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [ANN] Boost your account security thanks to Mt.Gox's new Security Center!!! on: June 05, 2012, 03:49:29 AM
https://mtgox.com/press_release_20120605.html

TOKYO - JAPAN - June 5, 2012 - In our continuous effort to secure our users' Mt.Gox experience we are proud to announce our new Security Center where from one page you will be able to create your own security rules to match your needs.

Mt.Gox first introduced two factor authentication into its service with the YubiKey, a unique approach to security where people had to physically connect a device to their computer to safely and securely access to their account.

Today however we pushed the overall security experience further with the integration of our new Security Center that will allow our users to utilize a software-based two factor authentication system along with our existing YubiKey hardware solution.

Incorporating Google Authenticator, our new Security Center will allow anyone that installed this free software on their iPhone or Android device to quickly create rules on their Mt.Gox account to add another layer of security and flexibility.

From there you will be able to add one or more YubiKey or Google Authenticator OTPs to your account. To do so simply follow the on screen instructions to add your first authentication system.

Once done, just drag and drop your newly created security system to one of Mt.Gox’s three access control panels including : “Log In”, “Withdrawal” and “Security Center”

In our actual setup, one person could for example create rules that limit certain behavior on their account depending on which device is used to login to their account. We could imagine here that whenever you accessing your account with Google Authenticator with a smart phone you will have the ability to access to very basics features of your account whereas your home computer along with Google Authenticator or a Yubikey could in the other hand give you full control of your account.

Another example would be for verified corporate account holders to give certain staff basic access to the company Mt.Gox account to check vital sales data including payments details and orders while leaving the full control of deposit and withdrawals to the Company Owners or accountants.
We hope that our users will take advantage of this new Security Center and Google Authenticator to secure their accounts. With this new feature we have the opportunity to put an end to the phishing and hacking endemic "pandemic" which has plagued Bitcoin since its inception.

Regards,
Mt.Gox Co. Ltd Team.

Their withdraw problems from wire transfers to Dwolla delays is just too much now. Why is it that I have to complain here bout them for them to do anything about my delays? As soon as I do it's like they do me a small favor and clear a little of the lot of money I have withdrawn but still has not shown up in my accounts. I'm fully verified with them and was thinking about becoming a trusted member but it just seems like it's not worth it. I used to have a great relationship with them as they used to be the best at Customer support and quickness of withdrawing but it's gone down hill the last two months and now I find myself with investments in BTC with MTGOX that I'm not getting my paid and not being able to support my family because of the amount of money they have held up of mine. Something needs to be done about this. Please magicaltux or anyone from MTGOX tell us the truth of what's going on.

Hi Dirtydiego.

I am sorry to hear about your problem, do you have any open tickets?

Thank you MTGOX support. I gave you my MTGOX username and right away you started to process some my dwolla withdraws after reading this thread. I can't explain to you how much this means to me that you are addressing this so quickly. This will help me extremely and wire bank wire transfers I'm sure will be done soon also.

125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is MtGox going crazy or manipulating? on: June 01, 2012, 01:08:48 AM
Any chance on an official statement from Gox?  This seems pretty important...

Official reply : No manipulations and good lord we are still sane... (I'm not insane, my mother had me tested). Now for the record and as far as we are concerned, a nice stable price keeps volume and revenue low.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Mt.Gox overview: January 2012 / Transparency on: May 24, 2012, 12:50:13 AM
Are you guys working on releasing the report for the last four months?

We did not forget about it, but we are concentrating our effort somewhere else at the moment!
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] New AML Policy for all Dwolla users. on: May 22, 2012, 01:31:15 AM
Gox, do you plan to offer an alternate withdrawal service in the near future?

We are working on this, and may have something in June (still waiting for contract to be signed, so can't make promises at this point).

Tux, when will you guys just make it easier for everyone and offer your own in-house solution for us to simply be able to access our funds via mtgox prepaid debitcard. If the rates are reasonable loading onto the card or swiping directly, you will cancel out a ton of these extra withdrawal methods.

There as several solutions that we are working on in order to make your life easier. I am not saying that we will offer what you suggest, but we are exploring every possibilities reduce drastically fees involved in the process as well as being able for you, all of you, to easily cash-in and cash-out. I sincerely hope that we will see such solution available before the end of June.

128  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Mt.Gox announces its new Withdraw Center on: May 22, 2012, 01:27:19 AM
How cute. I go to transfer some money out of mtgox to dwolla and now I find out I have to wait
because of this AWESOME withdraw center. I have no idea how long this validation process
takes. Wouldn't it be nice to give me an idea when I set it up a few minutes ago?

I would email support but I have done that in the past and know my response time is probably
longer then the validation process to setup dwolla as a withdraw.

Plus I know I will  have to email support to get my dwolla transfer completed as my batting
average for this to go smoothly is 50/50 now days. Maybe this change will improve on that?

Either way... as a customer, I expect a dwolla transfer to be easy as I have no problem typing
in my dwolla account number. I do not expect to have to wait to do something so simple.

rant off.

It usually takes 24h for a new withdraw method to be validated. Once this one good, you will no longer have to submit any other validation request for this method. The idea here, and I hope you will appreciate it, is to make sure that the information your provided are accurate and to help speeding up the process once everything is in order!

Cheers
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [ANN] New AML Policy for all Dwolla users. on: May 18, 2012, 06:58:38 AM
https://mtgox.com/press_release_20120518.html

Dear Mt.Gox users,

Following the announcement this week from Dwolla regarding a change in their user policy, we are now obliged to institute a new AML policy when it comes to either deposit or withdraw funds when using Dwolla. This new AML goal is to make sure that we are in total conformity with Dwolla’s requirements when it comes to transferring funds. This in order to expedite transactions between our two companies.

Effective from Friday 25th of May, any user using Dwolla via Mt.Gox will be required to own a Verified account.

How do I become Verified?
"Verified" status can be obtained by any Mt.Gox user by submitting a copy of government issued photographic identification documentation and proof of residence (utility bill, etc.) documentation via our dedicated interface.

To submit documents you will need to log into your Mt.Gox account, go to "Settings" by clicking on your username in the top-left of the page and then click on “Get Verified.” Once the proper documentation has been submitted the process will in general take a maximum of two business days.

A Verified account also gives you the following advantages :
Being “Verified” allows for the following withdrawal limits: A maximum monthly withdrawal of $50,000 USD (or equivalent) capped to a maximum of $10,000 USD per 24 hrs and a 4,000 BTC withdrawal per 24 hrs without any monthly limit.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this will cause our North American customers, and are working with Dwolla to reduce the impact of their AML processes on Mt.Gox users.

Regards,
Mt.Gox Co. Ltd Team.

131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [ANN] Temporary suspension of HSBC Deposits on: May 16, 2012, 02:15:25 AM
It's been a couple of month without HSBC and you said you only expect this to last 14 days. What's the status?

Your page also says  "Note: Please be advised that only international wire deposits are accepted at the HSBC account and not the local transfers from Hong Kong-based individuals and companies. "

My guess: MtGox had problems with HSBC or the regulatory authorities of HK. Not related to fraudulent transactions. But that may be just me.

Hi

After doing business with HSBC in Hong-Kong for less than a year they decided to stop working with us after receiving four fraudulent transfers to our account.

And thank you for pointing out the text on our support page, the mention of HSBC as now been removed.

132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] MT.GOX - SEPA Withdrawals Are Back Again! on: May 16, 2012, 01:29:42 AM
Believe what you want to believe... Still with experience we seems transfer taking more than one day, so in order to be in the safe side, and while we totally agree with you guys on the fact that it should normally take no more than 24h, we prefer to announce a 1 to 5 business day on SEPA, because, once again, we seens some taking more than 24h. Hope I am clear on this one.

Now this said, we made succeed to cut a better deal with our bank and also this will make it easier for everybody, the new fees implied are now : 1% + 5.5PLN.

Thanks

withdraw wizard still shows 2%, tho.

Sorry for that, we forget to modify one of the default text. This has now been fixed, and thank you for letting us now.

134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] MT.GOX - SEPA Withdrawals Are Back Again! on: May 14, 2012, 01:14:41 AM
A bit of clarification is needed here.

1. 1 to 5 Business Day. Yes we all agree on this point that SEPA transfer as to be done in 1 business day or 24h. However, experience taught us that it can take, depending of the bank and circumstances (Public Holidays and so on) up to 5 business day. Also if the an Intermediary bank is involved in the process, and this happen fairly often, this will take at least 3 days : 24h for our Bank, 24h for the Intermediary Bank and the day after that for your Bank.

2. Fees, oh yes those evil fees! Yep even us are not to fund on them! The fees that has been mentioned earlier are external to Mt.Gox. By this I mean that in this very case intermediaries and Banks are in fact receiving those fees and not us!
And to follow on this very important subject, we are working/negotiating better fees and hope to offer you soon something better in this regards. We have a few solution that we would love to see happening soon!

Cheers!

TOKYO, JAPAN - May 11, 2012 - It took some doing, but we have finally sorted out our SEPA Withdrawal conundrum! As of May 10th, our European customers who wish to withdraw funds into their European bank account via SEPA can once more do so thanks to our new Withdraw Center.

All funds will be send through our Polish account and will involve the following fees:

- Withdrawals below 10€ are not possible
- Withdrawals come with a 2% fee with a minimum of 1% + 5 PLN 1% fee with minimum of 5.5 PLN

As is standard for SEPA customers should expect a 1 to 5 working day delay from the time the withdrawal is initiated until seeing funds arrive in your personal bank account.

Of course if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact any of our support team and open a ticket at : support@mtgox.com.

136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: public Q to MagicalTux: what will you do if one can not prove where he lives? on: May 08, 2012, 08:07:06 AM
What they should do is mail something (a verification code) to the residency address the user provided, with instructions to access a particular webpage to verify.

We considered this kind of solution in the past and we may have finally find a solution that will be similar to what you proposed. We hope to put this in place soon, but since we have customers all over the world we need to make sure that we will be capable to offer to everyone the same service and make sure it will work just fine.

139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [ANN] Mt.Gox provides clarity for your withdrawals. on: April 27, 2012, 08:26:26 AM
In an effort to further improve our customer experience, Mt.Gox today released an improvement to our Account History page that will give customers the ability to see the current status of their withdrawals, updated in real time.

Available for every withdrawal type excluding redeemable codes and Bitcoin to wallet withdrawals, this new feature adds a status field clearly displaying the current state of your transaction.

The most commonly reported concern that our customers have is that they are unsure where their withdrawn funds are as they are sent from Mt.Gox into the worldwide banking system. We hope that our small improvement to the site will be of assistance to those users who would like more information on how their money moves out of Mt.Gox.

As always, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact us at support@mtgox.com.
