121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: January 26, 2024, 05:06:20 PM
Hello gamblers, this is a kind of survey aimed at getting to know my fellow gamblers better, particularly in the context of sports betting. I would like to know your average bet amount and your monthly income.

You don't need to provide exact figures; an estimate would suffice. Through this discussion, we can assess whether we are being too aggressive in our gambling habits or if we are playing it safe with our bets.

I can't say there's an average amount because there are several factors affecting my bankroll on my every gambling session.

Some factors are:

- how long is the next payday
- upcoming due dates to some obligations
- preparing for some upcoming activity is why saving money should be considered
- total net income received on the payday

If there's nothing to worry about later financial settlements, I can put in around $100 capital to start my gambling session.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 26, 2024, 04:45:30 PM
Do you really see gambling as more of fun than a means to a financial end?

how much can you put into gambling before it removes the fun aspect of gambling out of it?

None of the above. What I'm after is, to try always winning whenever after my session on that day.

Gambling for fun is pure crap. There are other things to make fun of without risking money. How come it's still fun even after losing much? Do these people who state gambling for fun is really having fun after that losing streak? Even if they are only putting money that they afford to lose, they don't realize how much money they are losing now while gambling for a long just to have fun.

Gambling to support financial means? That's also a crap. It's called gambling because we need something valuable to risk in exchange for good luck to hit that good big winning amount. How come it can support our financial means if everything is at risk? Forget about it.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Older men vs Younger boys in gambling, Which enjoys Gambling for fun the more? on: January 26, 2024, 04:24:27 PM
It does make sense to think that much older age was having more fun gambling since at these ages, they are more mature in everything. In that age bracket, most people have surely gambling for a long now, and currently at their peak age, they know already the sides of gambling.

Age 60+ is also at a point where a person is just enjoying everything without the need for necessary work to support his living. They have all the time to gamble and are not worried about other things. Different from the people in the bracket 18-45 years of age where their time is full and need to work on other things to support living.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Pacquiao vs. Buakaw - April 20 on: January 25, 2024, 08:47:04 PM
Pacquiao even at this age I believed is still very quick and fast and still has the power as for me, that is God given talent. In any case, they will sure be showing here in their best shape of their life. And both can sell this fights, put fans in the seats or even in PPV just to see this two legends in the ring.

Actually, being still in shape is the reason why Pacquiao was involved right away in exhibition matches after retiring. Especially in his status today that he no more multi-tasking activities e.g being a politician, basketball player, billiard player, sabong enthusiast at the same time. He missed his right away his profession the moment he stepped outside the politics.

He can still fight in a professional match and he is open with that mentioning it in some of his interviews after retirement. However, it seems fighting in an exhibition match is way more wise to do now. It's great that he's up in an exhibition match right away after retiring and not wait to become too old before doing that. The present generation can still witnessed the post-prime Pacquiao.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What strategies do you adopt that can help to make millions in sport betting on: January 25, 2024, 08:35:46 PM
After going through the thread below titled "Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting?"
I think it's possible using some sporting strategies. I wish to know which strategy have you been using to win big as a gambler.

Don't stress yourself on that. Instead of focusing on hoping to become a millionaire in sports betting, just focus instead on how to make a consistent win. A winning streak is more important as that's what will make our sports betting activity profitable. Being a millionaire is just there. As long as we always keep up with consistent wins, that's what matters.

To become a millionaire in gambling, it's not just the strategy alone but your bankroll should also keep up with you as you progress.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: January 25, 2024, 08:23:11 PM
If you were in this situation, what would you do? Introduce him to sports betting or let him stick to playing slots. Yesterday, I just let it go but we still often meet at other activities.

Just as a part of a friendly discussion, I will mention sports betting to him but not to the point that I will push him to do so. Based on your story, it seems that he's already been involved in gambling for a long and surely he knows about sports betting already.

Maybe it's just that he feels lucky playing in slots compared to sports betting even though he has a good knowledge of football. Even if you see him always watching football games, it doesn't mean these types of people are compatible right away in sports betting.

Knowledge is an advantage but you are playing with the odds in sports betting. It's not that simple.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The worst situation you're in that you regret that you learn about gambling on: January 25, 2024, 08:10:19 PM
I don't have regrets about learning gambling in my life. That's my own choice. That's my own decision. No one forced me to do it.

Being responsible in gambling is hard to learn as the main ingredient for that to achieve is to experience all the possible worst situations we can encounter in gambling. I haven't experienced yet the considered too worst situation in gambling but I know that if that happens, I will still not regret learning gambling in my life.

Gambling is everywhere. It's up to us if we will turn into shit gamblers or not. Don't blame gambling for that.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The need to control your emotions as a football fan. on: January 24, 2024, 10:00:36 PM
The results must not always go your way as a gambler, you will lose some and you will win some.

It's not about being a gambler. In that situation, fans are just disappointed because that is something unexpected to happen.

It's fine to show disappointment in their supporting team if it shows that the said team is at worst in that game. And of course, no violence on the part of the fans. That incident should serve as a wake-up call to the losing favorites to play seriously even against an underdog. They should bounce back in the next competition and show their fans what they made up. The whole team should think things went wrong during the match.
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you preffer your dealer talkative or not? on: January 24, 2024, 09:44:44 PM
What do you think about this all? Do you like your dealer talkative or not?
And if you prefer the dealer being talkative, would you mind if they made up some story just to keep talking? Or would you prefer even that over silence?

It doesn't matter to me if the dealer is talkative or not as long as their actions aren't annoying at all.

If I found a dealer as talkative, as long as the subject just makes sense or shares a gambling-related experience or might be talking about its previous players on the table or game audiences, it's fine. But if it's about politics, religion, or family problems - that requires another place to discuss.

I don't think there's a silent dealer. Dealers are supposed to pull up some talk as what they worked for is under the entertainment industry.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Roller Coaster feeling When You Gambling on: January 24, 2024, 09:26:16 PM

An hour before going to a casino?
Excited especially if I feel that it's my day!

After logging in and pulling out the games you are about to play?
Just calm and relax. Will start smoothly and not be aggressive. Slowly but surely, I will increase my bet as I progress.

While playing?
I will observe if that specific game is doing some nice win. If unfortunate, to the point that no good win out of several spins, I might get out.

After you experience successive losses?
Calm. Calm. Calm - as much as possible. If I will put myself into panic mode, it will be the end of my bankroll.

After you won successively?
Depending on the winning amount. I will decide what to do based on my satisfaction with my winning amount.

After you log out whether you win or lose?
If win, enjoy the winnings.
If lose, no choice but to just accept it and come back for another round next time.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Casimero (possible fight in 2024) Let's discuss! on: January 19, 2024, 10:11:05 PM
Inoue doesn't have to play with the ranking if he wants to fight Casimero. Instead, he should look at the revenue side because this supposed fight has been hype for years which I think people would watch it even if the tickets are expensive.

Only Filipino fans are hyping the match. If there's a massive demand from the international boxing community fans, it's an obvious easy money but that's not the case. For Casimero to be recognized, no choice but to climb up rankings as being the top contender will be granted an eligibility to fight for the title.

Anyway, since it's now Luis Nery on the line for Inoue, Casimero's camp need to secure a fight right away even below ranked boxers than him. What's more important today for Casimero is to just secure a fight against anyone as much as possible and try to build up a winning streak until being recognized.
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 19, 2024, 09:58:31 PM
That is how the idea of this topic appeared. I watch others gamble, I watch how the bet, I start to think about betting more than usually. Do you have such feeling also? Do you have a feeling that if others make large bets, that you also must bet large, otherwise you would feel like uncomfortable, or feel like a poor among rich, or something of that kind.

Actually, even if you don't end up following others' bet, in the long run you will still risk trying betting higher amounts.

The reason is simple, we want to experience big winnings and to achieve that, we need to raise our bets and risks more.

I don't follow other bets and I'm not being influenced by them even I will saw them winning huge amount out from their high bet. It's just that, as a gambler, my common sense is telling me that to also experienced those huge win, I need to stake more.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: January 19, 2024, 09:31:34 PM
Lastly, will you feel comfortable or worried knowing that your mother is a dedicated gambler; and if you feel worried are you worried that she may be losing a pool of cash or your worried because you fear for her health as gamblers can get negative emotions when losing money.

If you ask that question to a person who in their entire life knows that their parents are not involved in gambling, the obvious response will be, that they won't be comfortable if there's a surprise. On the other hand, if you ask that question to a person where they know their parents are involved in gambling for long, they are already used to seeing their parents like that.

Will they be worried? It all depends on how responsible the parents are for their family even doing gambling.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Higher and lower risks in gambling is the gamblers choice. on: January 19, 2024, 09:09:27 PM
I don't know if everyone is aware of this that the more risks you takes on your predictions is the more higher the game odds, and this set of gambling demands lower stakes due to the chances to win is extremely high. Strategically, you are trying to safe your funds from some sort of impossible winning because it is obvious that you are daring the game with such high risks.

And the lower risks you takes on your predictions is the smaller the game odds which you may demand higher stakes to secure an appreciative winning. Although there is still no assurance of winning here for winning in gambling is strictly game of luck.

This is all about you either faces your fears and ready to accept what it brings or you withdraws from your fears and minimizes the threats outcomes.

Generally, there are levels of risk factors in gambling.

Simply, we can expect a decent reward by taking the high risk but expect that it's not going to be easy. On the other hand, low risk might give us more chance of winning but don't expect a big reward right away within just a few bets.

It's not about facing fears. Don't be like that. To be more precise, find what suits our betting style.
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 19, 2024, 08:56:06 PM
It's hard to decide if you are in the actual situation.

It's easy to say for others that they will cash out but in reality, I'm sure most bettors will push it until the end especially if the winning chance is likely high. It's already an insane amount and life-changing but if we are in the actual situation and our mind is telling us that the winning chance is high, we will likely wait until the end.

I can't generally answer that question until I'm in that situation.
136  Other / Off-topic / Re: Know when to stop on: January 19, 2024, 08:45:55 PM
I'm sure most gamblers know when to stop but if you are in the situation, whether winning or losing, it's a challenge to fight the temptation of continuing to gamble. There are lots of cases in which something in our mind will eagerly push us to continue since we need to achieve something.

When winning, it's a good decision to stop and take a break but since we are winning, why should we stop?
When losing, it's a good decision to stop and take a break but since we are losing, why should we stop chasing those losses?

These questions are always in the gambler's mind and what will happen next is already obvious.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 19, 2024, 08:39:46 PM
But it will be Impossible for a gamblers to separate family effect's from addictions but at least the gamblers if in his right senses can still minimix the effects of that addictions on himself.

Simply we can't generalize everything since there are addicted gamblers that are still responsible for their family.

On the other hand, there are addicted gamblers who put themselves in the worst addiction which is now affecting their relationship with their family. On the latter situation, these addicted gamblers need to be stopped by force as they won't listen anymore for any advice.

I salute those gamblers who even admittedly addicted to gambling, are still a responsible person outside their gambling activity. Hope they will maintain that discipline and behavior but at least, they should know how to minimize their gambling habit in the long run.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Draw betting strategy on: January 19, 2024, 08:34:01 PM
4.weather conditions : I need your opinions on this point cause I'm not 100 percent sure of it but this is from some of my observation
Do you think weather conditions affect gameplay and increase the likelihood of a draw?

Specifically for sports that are being played in an open field, weather conditions might affect the gameplay.

But in terms of increasing the chance of the match ending up in a draw, we can't put that as a factor as for sure, those teams are used to playing in any weather conditions, of course not on a considered worst as I doubt the match will commence if the weather is really bad.

You already pointed out those basic approaches in making an analysis and I think you don't need any further advice. My suggestion is just simply, if your current strategy is working well and effective in the long-run, then keep on using it while trying to improve everything.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be a hope restorer if we go about it wisely! on: January 18, 2024, 11:49:11 PM
To all gamblers' when you get lucky make good use of your gambling win do not chase for double portion.

In other words, simply learn to cashout our winnings after a big win. It's good to at least enjoy those profits out of our luck.

This is a great challenge for those winners. Once winning big, the temptation of gambling more is there.

The feeling of winning big truly can't be forgotten that's why gamblers who win that big always want to feel that experience.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The PCSO Lotto is shrouded in doubt due to the picture of the winner shown on: January 18, 2024, 11:46:25 PM
As we can see in the picture, it appears to be just an edited version, casting doubt on whether there was a genuine winner or if corrupt officials inside are attempting to claim the victory using that picture as evidence.

What's your thought about that picture, is it real or edicted?

It's an edited image 100%. I just wondered why PCSO would do such a thing if they can just take simply take a pic of the real winner. Huh

I don't doubt the legitimacy of the PCSO lottery but hyping the jackpot intentionally is a clear cheating as it was a form of manipulation.

Try to watch the ongoing investigation of the Senate here and try to conclude out of it.
