Glad you got the My Cloud up and running.  I'll add it to the list of links in the PG if you would like.

I'll check it out always had issues with mine.

I know I was posting excessively.  And I was wondering when someone was going to say something.  Wink

Anyways, still adding content to the PG.  Had a major bug yesterday which left some unable to edit their profiles.  It was a known bug in the software.  I got with the maker of the portal and he fixed the bug on the server.  Everything should be working.  I will continue to add content and also continue working on live games.  These will be a little way off as of yet.  However they will come.  Currently we are up to 40 member and I have had some great feedback.  So I do believe  it is going well.  Once I get more content uploaded I will be advertising to increase traffic flow.

I havn't forget about the asset holders.  I plan to see what we have made and issue another payment.  Just with everything going on I'm falling behind a little.  But there is another payment coming.

I will do a full write up on all the features and what you will be able to do on the PG once I get the content uploaded.

There is an added feature that I will tell ya about now that I am testing.  Which is quizzes.  Pay to take a quiz and if you are correct it's worth 100 points.double your burst.  First quiz is a bitcoin quiz.  There will be many more to come worth burst for getting them correct.

I'll get a write up one more content is added.

Thanks all.

I see this thread is still going strong huh.

Figured id stop in and see what all was going on here.   Love the previous post and makes sense.

I stopped arguing over this.  It happened and some people just dont wanna see who actually did it.  One day they will learn the hard way.

ist bin laden still on board?
anyone heard some of elmit?

I see elmit not sure about bin laden.   I know he is still mining I see his name everywhere.

You should head over to the NEW [ANN].  They are gonna lock this one.

@BurstIncomeAsset

I really want to change my s to Burst.  But currently yobit is covering my hosting fees.  Don't really wanna give it up.

Sure no problem, but other people can do it, especially I saw many people posting here with empty signature.

So they have nothing to lose by just adding BURST sig there.

I agree.  Think they should.  Maybe I'll make something like for a bonus on the Playground.  Come up with some kind of sig campaign.

But either way people should do it so people that may not know about Burst can have a chance to get involved.

Yep, you can do that too. And you can also open a thread in the altcoin marketplace about your asset.

Mods said that you can open a thread about altcoin assets, in the altcoin marketplace sector.

I will open one for INCOME too, later on, after I sort out a better income flow.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1312055.0

I will have to do that.  I have enough on my plate for now.  Need to be the PG where it needs to be before I go any further.  Have loads more to and want to offer a load more.  I will add it then.  Thanks for the heads up.

emmm need to find all the drives I can find.  I do have a bunch of flash drives that are 64GB 2.0s

Question,

Is each plot specific to each hard drive or can I move a plot from a drive to another drive?

When creating plot files you pick a range of nonces for it. Each nonce can only be used once per block, using it twice will give you the same results, therefore no advantage.

You can copy the plots just like any other file. What drive or medium its stored on also does not matter

I didn't mean using the same one twice.  Just being able to move the plot is all so I can move a plot compared to have to re write one if something went wrong or I wanted that drive.

Nice work crowetic, you can add the other faucets to your list too from here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1233458.0

And also faucet owners should raise their payouts, many people have complained that the payout is very low. Higher payouts will attract more people.

I agree with you.  4 Burst isn't worth even doing compared to all other coins.  Even most BTC faucets payout between 500 to 1500 depending on where you look.

4 or even 8 Burst.  Even at 8 with a price of 20 sat is only 160 sat worth.  Mull it by 5 to be competitive  with other coin faucets.

How often or how does the Burst.Ninja pool payout.  Once a day, when a block is found, or when.  I switched back to Burst Ninja.  Would rather support someone I am familiar with then someone im not.  So I switched back.  Just wondering when I could expect payments from the pool.

Ninja pays out 3 rounds after a block is mined, but it only pays out to an individual when the balance > 300. Burst earned before 300 will still show, but as a number with D after it - for deferred payout.

H.

So, when it says 246D+321.  What exactly does it mean?  First number is what I have earn?  How does current round share figure in.  And what is the 321?

Thanks dcct!

Yes @ Lenore I run a couple USB2 drives as well, and they run just fine. But I wouldn't do a lot with them, USB3 is the way to go.

Also,

The Playground should be able to be accessed.  Its not fully migrated but forums are working, chat, instant messaging, downloads, some links.  Permissions need to be played with as of yet.  So some forums may be visible that usually will not be.  Some changes are still needed but it it available to access.

You can now log back in.

If you already had an account please try your previous user name and password to log in.

That is good to know.  I just read somewhere that people were not sure if the 2.0 drives would work.  But now that I think of it and see how it all works I do not see why it wouldnt work.

Im gonna play around with some flash drives and stuff as well see what all types and drives work.  Seems like just about anything would.  But wont be till later on.  Much more to do.

I just ordered 16TB more diskspace. Speedfan (with its nice s.m.a.r.t. investigation tool) reports i have a 2TB and a 3TB drive having degraded stability so i better get them out of operation bf they actually fail.

BURST chain strength grows a bit more when i get the new disks operational, i intend to add at least 8TB BURST plots from the new disks, after rearranging stuff.

This will be the first time i actually use the seagate 8TB archive drives for plots, will let you know if i run into any issues. My only bad experience with these drives are that they tend to go dead for an extended period of time, if you throw too much data (100+GB) at them too quickly ( file copy of large files on a very fast PC ) They should be fine for BURST plots i guess, as that is read only once the plotting has been done. When i'm finished i should be solo mining more than 68TB - i was expecting a faster buildup last few months, but work got super crazy so no time to do stuff.

It is great to see someone give its full support to the BURST network. 68TB is a ton of space for the mining operation, but it does generate a huge sum of BURST. I am very curious of what will happen to BURST once all the coins are mined, and maybe once they are completely mined the price will rise. Just my thoughts.  Grin

Would guess everyone would gain transaction fees for transactions.  That is my thought anyways.

Who all is a winner and what program is that?

Seams we have a winner ... (at least for a period of 240 blocks)

... guess not only pinballdude ... but all burst enthusiasts ... should add some more TB to network!

Hi there

I have got a technical question, where I need to be sure that i get it right.
Does any numerical Burstaddress have the same lengh (amount of digits)
or are there some wich have a shorter or longer burst adresses?

Just finished programming everything in the Setup-GUI till plotting and Mining. Do not know how to write
a good plotting programm an integrate it in C++ Any ideas? Is there any need, because we still have a very cool
Plotter and optimizing GUI?

greez

Burst addresses are typically 22 characters without dashes.  At least all the addresses that I know of are 22.

I do no ave any ideas on the plotter for you wish I did.

What languages do you know?

I hope to see more investors like you to support this coin and give it value and reason.

If you plan on starting a small farm and do not want to buy a load of equipment unless you already have it.   Have a USB 3.0 port.  Found some samsung 5TB 3.0 external hard drives on newegg.  Picked one up for I think it was $121.xx shipped.  Guess it would depend on how log you plan on being in burst.

Even if it is not very profitable to mine BURST with your HDD, as the cost of HDD is more than what you make in BURST weekly or monthly (based on burstcoin.biz calculator) it will still be a fun and innovating way of mining a crypto currency and support its network. I might start will a small HDD mining farm and test how mining BURST with them works. But sometimes I wonder if the HDD could support being used long enough for mining BURST 24/7 I guess that mining with them will shorten its lifespan, right? Also, have anyone tried mining with a Solid State Drive (SSD) by the way?  Huh

You could think of it as an investment.  With all that is going on with Burst.  I would not be surprised if the price doesn't rise.  Ultimately, the exchanges determine price by users buying and selling.  I see there are people just holding coins and also sinking into assets.  Which is fine by me.  But if we could get a few whales to slowly sell off and buy back to increase the price.  Need some pumpers.  No one seems to pump this coin like other coins.  The price pretty much stays on an even plain.  It need s nudge.

We should put together a pump group for burst and work together to increase the price.  The all future mining would be worth it for the people that feel it isnt worth anything.

Just an idea.

@Lenore @crowetic and @pinballdude:

Thanks for your replies. I have now clarified my doubts regarding the asset dividends payouts. About ByteEnt, I just invested in it a week ago and considering that payment is monthly, then I will be patient for next months dividends. So far I have invest into Playgrounds, ByteEnt and Playgrounds 3 asset. But will continue to invest more into them as well as buy shares from Income asset and my portfolio will be complete.  Grin

Will all that is happening in Burst, I might consider making a HDD mining farm someday. I will be really could to have one instead of an ASIC farm.  Roll Eyes

Can confirm that USB3 drives (I run almost my entire 70+ TB on USB with individual ports on internal controller cards in a rackserver.) run just as well as internal drives do. Though, I've not really tested them when running via a USB3 hub. Mine all run on direct ports via USB3 controller SATA cards, or on the board's controller directly.

I think it works pretty good.

Have plotted around 1TB on it so far and have another 1TB plotting now.   Doesnt take any longer then on a normal HDD.  I am still wondering if a USB 2.0 would work with the correct drivers.  If so that would make space even cheaper.

Also I found a few dual bay drive duplicaors.  Stated to hold 2 HDDs for either storage or duplication.  3.0 as well and only run like $20.   Capable of up to 10TB.  and can use SATA I, II, or III.  So a bunch of hard drives laying around could be useful.

Still would like to try using hosting for mining.   Find one that has unlimited space and mine till they kick you off.  lol

It is good to finally see Burst getting the attention it deserves. I think it needs more miners and a price increase to make it even more interesting. The features that it provides such as the Proof of Concept is unlike any other and I am willing to see this project reach larger masses as time comes by.

I have a question...Just for curiosity, are assets dividends paid weekly or monthly? Are the rates the same for any asset or does it vary?  Huh

As i understand it, the asset is controlled by the issuer, and the asset issuer can set any terms on the asset. It could be that you get your car washed next coming sunday, if someone was silly enough to issue that asset.  Or it could be fractional ( how many assets you own ) ownership of some company or asset.

Exactly right.  Would depend on what the general use for the asset would be.  Some would need a longer term for returns while ohers may only need a short time.  Depends on use of funds and what they investments are going into.

This depends on the asset you are invested in and who pays them out.

I know for the Playground I planned on weekly Payouts for certain aspects of the the Phases.  However I am a little behind as I have been working trying to get the Playground up and running fully.  But for Playground, Playground (yes listed twice), and PGround3.  These once things are set will be weekly.

For other assets that all depends on when they want to or when they are suppose to.
