121  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Project Evil Genius – Custom SHA2-256 Circuits on a FPGA on: July 17, 2013, 10:14:16 PM
Yes, with pleasure:

http://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=cracking_sl3

It is pretty good explained.

It is little modified salted SHA1 algo and should be around 5 times faster than algo used for BTC.
For sure it is possible to implement on FPGA. But there is a lot of pro guys with already done solution, not willing to share their work.

Atom (admin and creator of Hashcat and OCLHashcat) is great guy and very skillful programmer, he did a LOT of optimization on crypto algos, maybe he could do even more if someone gets his attention.

Maybe a good idea will also be implenmentig salted SHA1 algo for Nokia SL3 unlocking by bruteforce method.
123  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Project Evil Genius – Custom SHA2-256 Circuits on a FPGA on: July 16, 2013, 06:04:39 PM
I will use this thread to update my progress. I will update every once in a while to let people know my progress and how well the circuits are preforming.

I will be creating custom digital circuits of a SHA2-256 Double Hashers for Bitcoin mining. I have already started on the first stage. The project will be written in Verilog. I chose Verilog, because it has better controls at the gate level than VHDL. I will not be using any C code for the hashing circuits. However I might use C code for the registers and connections to the computer, IE USB plug, and set-up data.

Looking at the Open Source FPGA code, I believe I can make a really good improvement over the Open Source code, which is converted C. I have vast experience in digital design and I have worked on many ASIC projects. However, I have not worked on a FPGA before, but I have worked alongside FPGA programmers to know the major problems that affect FPGAs.

To get more info on my background, go here:
http://www.cryptoextractor.com/crypto/author.html

Depending on the results, three things will happen. If I get really great results, then I would probably make some boards and sell them. If I get good results, I will probably buy old FPGA boards and reprogram them, and mine with them. I might sell some of the re-programmed boards. The last would be if I got OK results. Then I would just release the code as Open Source.

why don't you try developing scrypt mining for LTC for opensource community. There's avery high demand for it IMO.

124  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Batch 2# got tracking number but still nothing on DHL site on: July 15, 2013, 10:19:24 PM
Did you got valid tracking number?

125  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - batch #3 refund requests thread on: July 14, 2013, 05:21:23 PM
WTB early batch #3 preorders, for fair price, escrow is a MUST.

Only via PM.

PS. I will not pay it more than refund in same category.
Better price and lower order numbers are priority.
126  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC Batch 2 Problem Orders (Bitsyncom PLEASE Help) on: July 13, 2013, 02:55:45 PM
Calculating how much I lost for being late 2,5 months... I got high blood pressure, heart problems and lost nerves.
Nothing can be compared to lost faith and broken dreams.

Just hope that there will be some kind of cosmic justice, someone sees everything.
127  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC Batch 2 Problem Orders (Bitsyncom PLEASE Help) on: July 13, 2013, 12:21:53 PM
...

BitSyncom, I hope you will not ignore this and offer some  adequate compensation.

Are you from Italy?

I wish I am but I am not...
128  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC Batch 2 Problem Orders (Bitsyncom PLEASE Help) on: July 13, 2013, 11:39:21 AM
This is complete bullshit, I still did not got my batch #2 unit.
Im am furious. 18. feb order.

What happened with 3 months late in payment 3 months late in shipping principle ?

I paid in time still not delivered after may, jun, and half of july. It will be 3 months now they late.
What I can expect in return? To offer me justice refund of 1500$ Huh

I am very very disappointed customer.

Now, they will ship batch#3 and avalon asic chips and I can stick that big diff in my a..
Never heared from then any apologize or we are sorry for this situation, like it is my fault...

BitSyncom, I hope you will not ignore this and offer some  adequate compensation.

I dont care about size, even like bigger hips, can cool them more easily, I care about functionality and price per ghash.

Die size is directly proportional to price.  Larger dies cost much more to produce because of the lower yields.

So yes, you should care about die size because it means it will make it harder to KNC to meet their target production yields.  The foundry charges the same (by the wafer), so if you have more broken chips per wafer because the die size is high, then you have to raise the price on your "good" chips just to break even.

Technically speaking you are 100 % right, but still I must say again, as customer, I don't care for size if specification and price are acceptable. (mind paradox, I know, don't mind on that).

This is what I cal a GOOD investigation !

Great work Sasadjak and DexX7
132  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DYI: Avalon controller on: July 06, 2013, 09:57:25 PM
RamirezX hi,

If you take this FPGA thing seriously, I think it is better to swich use of FPGAs to SHA1 salted hashing (for nokia SL3 decoding).
There is still a lot of work on that, and there is no commercial software developed for them.
It is somehow related to sha256 but simplified.

Please if you are interested, contact me regarding this project.

133  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 4x 7870XT 2BTC each, currently in the CZ on: July 06, 2013, 09:16:49 PM
Please tell me in what town it is possible to collect them, I have a friend passing across CZ in return from a journey? If possible?
134  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [3] countdown! on: July 05, 2013, 04:34:27 PM
not all shipped. have a bad track number. not delivered

By shipped I meant went out from Bitsyncom.
No idea if u got wrong tracking number, but at least u have any. Maybe one letter missing or misspelled ? I read on this forum stories that ppl numbers appeared on tracking page AFTER they received package.

You would like bad shipping number? Here you go, have one... 8953266852.
So your Avalon is shipped now.

135  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Ready to sell 3x60Gh\s ASIC miners from BFL. (early preorder) on: July 03, 2013, 08:20:59 PM
12 posts ... careful ...

Very carefull. Escrow here is a must.
136  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: July 02, 2013, 08:48:41 AM
I really hope 10% means 10%...unlike another company which redefined the term 2 weeks and 4-6 weeks...especially with how many people I know in Batch 2 which still see "Processing".
+1
137  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: any Jupiter interest? on: July 01, 2013, 04:09:19 PM
You can sell them maybe?
Looks like you are one with promises to ship in September.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cairnsmore1 - Quad XC6SLX150 Board on: June 29, 2013, 11:39:23 AM
Yes, I am very aware of potential losses and profits from Bitcoin gambling with diff and price.
So, litecoin mining may be possible on CM1 modded. Hmm, that is very interesting...

May there will be some trade-in for CM1 customers in next months, or not an option?
If your project 500Ghash/25k euros is still an option, I am looking for loans to make it happen. Of course, if august is still deadline for shipping.

I am open for all kind of ideas, here or in pm.

139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cairnsmore1 - Quad XC6SLX150 Board on: June 28, 2013, 06:53:08 PM
Yohan, is there a cut-off price for Cairnsmore1 ?
