Is there a release date for the new client?

I'm thinking "soon-ish" if that helps Smiley

Anywho, 100 pages already ... seems like yesterday Littledigger and I were just trying to keep the network alive lol

Yeap from "give it up, it's dead" to "I just read in the Washington post"

And the granddaddy, GodFather, MacPimpDaddy of them all (appears not in operation yet):

http://sexcoinbank.com

Does anyone know if this is legit or not!?! I'm investigating

December 18th ? Four or five days after the bubble ?
How was it part of a pump if it happened after it ?
Why did you omit the date of his post in your OP
Why do you remain silent even though you are online ?
How can anybody trust a brand new account that accepts bribes ?

Maybe you deserve a scammer label yourself.. Defaming a well respected member by literally concealing the truth...
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SXC Sexcoin price manipulation on: December 27, 2013, 05:53:21 AM
Just want to warn people about getting burned with this scam coin. Ive been watching SXC coin closely from the beginning. During the big pump when the price skyrocketed on cryptsy it was fairly obvious that the price was being manipulated with bots and fake buy/sell orders. Now that this coin has completely tanked and the people who pumped and dumped this coin were able to rebuy everything they sold on the cheap, are now restarting the pump. I can see the exact same tricks they used in the beginning being used again exactly the same way. This is a total scam coin. Lots of fake buy orders for tiny amounts to push down the low bids, all the sell orders constantly jump up a point in tandem the second someone buys at the previous high sell order.

If you look in the official sxc thread today lavajumper who affiliated with sexcoin and runs the biggest pool for them posts this...

"And the granddaddy, GodFather, MacPimpDaddy of them all (appears not in operation yet):

Interesting that a person who is majorly invested in sexcoin just happens to come across a domain that was only registered 7 days ago and probably only live a couple of days and only indexed in google maybe a day ago at the exact same time the price of sexcoin starts going back up to coincide with the pump. It doesnt even show up in Google unless you search for the domain name with the .com extention. Doesn't show up for sexcoin or even sexcoinbank. There is no way that lavajumper just happened to stumble across this domain. He acts like he did and is "investingating" which is total bullshit. Something stinks here.

I agree with you.  I watched the Sexcoin bubble as well.  There are some major hands at work in that using bots and tricks for price manipulation.  Once the bubble burst, the guys used tricks and walls to make sure the price never gained ground again, and pushed it right down to the floor to rebuy.

However price manipulation will happen any time the overall market cap in a coin is low enough.  This cryptocurrency world is filled with people trying to make a quick buck, and people with lots of coins will do that every time.  Wouldn't you if you could?

And why would the developers kill the price ? why would the developers want volatility turning merchants off.. I haven't disagreed with the fact manipulation is taking place, just unfounded accusations as to who is responsible for it..
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SXC Sexcoin price manipulation on: December 27, 2013, 05:15:02 AM
I can see you are online.. Cat got your tongue ?

EDIT Or are you too busy accepting bribes in lotto coin to push it on to cryptsy with false support? Bitjohn said in chat "SXC will never be listed on Cryptsy" in chat, but we built the infrastructure, developed the coin and recruited merchants until they changed their minds because they had to take it seriously.. without one bribe, unlike the pump and dumps you knowingly support in exchange for quick profit... HYPOCRITE !!!

Thanks Merry Christmas!

The crap coins you dump onto crypsty will always be crap coins, supported by underhanded tactics such as bribery and defamation.

SXC will prove itself through honest development and utility, and all the half baked lies you spread won't make a difference over the long term..
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SXC Sexcoin price manipulation on: December 27, 2013, 03:54:04 AM
Lets see.. You've only been registered since December the 2nd..

How do we know that you aren't a scam account, here to deliver FUD as part of a pump and dump on SXC ?

And really, price manipulation happened long before SXC was even released.. There are online groups who specialize in pumps and dumps, Alt Club being a good example.

If you stopped for even a moment and checked domain registrations you'd see lavajumper has nothing to do with the site. If then you checked out recent domain registrations you'd see about 10 new registrations all starting with sexcoin... Not unusual that after a bit of exposure people would decide to develop a site, or squat on a domain.

If we were developing such a site we would announce it, obviously.. but we aren't. Basically you are making wild accusations in some vague conspiracy theory which makes about as much sense as saying bitcoin developers are responsible for coinbase's development and operation. SXC developers have no stake in this website, or responsibility for it.

I really don't mind you embarrassing yourself, It will help point out your lack of credibility if you continue to spread misinformation, especially if you are doing so to try to manipulate the market..

Now why don't you hop on to another just created newbie account and pretend that someone, somewhere supports your idiocy. The normal reader will no doubt be naïve enough to trust the rantings of just joined newbies rather than the voices of well established personalities who give a well thought out, measured opinion that actually follows some logic, be it for or against SXC.... but then again they have been around and are actually knowledgeable about the subject

I won't bother with other forum posts, and general comments..

I've been around a while, I started mining bitcoins a little after the first crash from 30 to 3 dollars.

One thing I had to get used to was the media. I would hear something, wonder if it could really be happening and check the news to see what the reports were. Days later the media would finally give a report, usually very short or incorrect. The fact that SXC is shareing the same space as serious cryptos is very telling, and it will take a while for it to penetrate the mainstream.

Lets get on to some major players.. How would we explain that yes there are payment processing tools, they should be able to use those wordpress plugins on their site.. They aren't ametuers that use wordpress ?.. Well...

Cashing out ?, well first they would need to sell their volatile SXC for volatile LTC .. No the money doesn't come yet.. You take that volatile LTC and trade it for volatile BTC.. No you still don't have cash.. You transfer that BTC somewhere else and then you sell it for cash..

The plain fact is we need a USD/SXC conversion in one go, and it's being worked on.. by a developer outside the cryptocommunity ... That takes time.. Just the legalities would make your head ache..

That being said, I can see where we haven't promoted SXC hard or well enough within the "cryptoshere". Part of the problem is we don't want to push a "broken" client. Every other coin might be fine with algorithms that are wildly inaccurate, but lava is not, and I support him fully because if this coin is going to go mainstream, it needs to function perfectly. The original dev was a looking to pump n dump, the majority of coins are pump n dump, but we decided early that integrity would be part of the brand. Think about this.. After a 1500% rise, the devs did not dump their SXC and disappear.. We are still holding and we are still here, on boxing day, wishing we could have a day off...

If you bother to read all of the posts in both threads, you'll see we've gone slow and steady, and ignored the get rich quick, hype ridden, scam ridden paths of most coins. Seeing as we are now getting mentioned by the mainstream media, I'd say it was working.

As for grass rooting, SXC has been mentioned to some webmasters of major sites, but not presented as a finished product. The idea behind this is they will be aware, when the coin is sufficiently developed, that this is not some scam that has just been released, but a finished product with considerable investment and time in it's development.

If your client is stuck around block 400000, download the fixed client below!

In the zip file is a replacement sexcoin-qt.exe
Close your client, overwrite sexcoin-qt.exe with the one in the zip file.
Restart your client.

Nothing else is necessary.

Blockheight Fix Windows Client:

Does this only affect the windows client?

Hmmm I last traded RED on the 2013-12-03 at 02:49:09

On 2013-12-19 18:30:10 my account was audited with no changes.

On 2013-12-19 23:06:53 my account was audited with no changes.

ON 2013-12-21 01:50:24 my account was audited and My RED balance suddenly went negative freezing my funds.

I just want all my funds off of Cryptsy ASAP.. without having to buy coins I never dealt in at inflated prices.

133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange with ZERO FEES for beta on: December 22, 2013, 01:49:47 AM
I trust CoinEx with my funds, and I am glad that they listed SXC against BTC.

It is regrettable that there wasn't an announcement allowing me to withdraw, but the operators have acted honestly and honourably since the site went into Beta.

Considering the mayhem which is Cryptsy, ATM, I feel that they should be allowed the latitude to make whatever changes they feel necessary to prevent problems before they arise.

Having funds entire in stasis is way better than chasing missing coins, having negative balances on coins that you hadn't traded, and generally being worried that the coins you do have may disappear, IMHO

You know those are fake tweets made in fun right? As far as the users who PM me I deal with as many tickets as I can and try to do them in order not really fair to process one ahead of someone who PM's me. 65000 users in 26 days were having growing pains. We will get past them.

For those with CAPTCHA complaints it was implemented for good reason. Make sure your not running an adblocker and try refreshing it once before you enter it. We should have that fixed soon.

Ok back to tickets with me.

That's great, it addresses one concern.

What about listing SXC against BTC. By about any measure, development, merchants, hashpower, market value it's a solid performer.

Once we sort load out its worth taking into consideration.

Thank you, neither of us have the time to muck around. I appreciate your position. Mine is that SXC has leaked to the porn industry and they see it as a completely developed payment system, and while cryptogeeks might not appreciate the business model and snigger at the name, we have had an overwhelming response from outside the community, some very serious and determined to drive SXC to the next level by honest developing, others looking to get in on the money train for a free ride.

I also appreciate SXC, unlike so many altcoins had to prove itself, and that has been a big advantage. Not only do we have a team, but it has had to concentrate on what makes an altcoin successful. In fact we've had requests to "fix" other coins,. I hope you can appreciate SXC has performed in an outstanding manner under difficult conditions.

I personally think that SXC will emerge as a major alt, and the question is no longer if, but when. I won't bore you with details, unless you request them out of curiosity, or as part of your considerations.

Back to herding cats...

Last time I heard that was from Phenixex.. Not accusing anybody of anything.. Just saying as a miner who was done out of hard earned crypto.

As a developer, I do have concerns when merchants start delisting "cryptsy" coins. We've suffered enough complaints by cryptsy not listing SXC against BTC.

Of course there are those who believe a cryptocurrency doesn't need to be an actual currency to hold value, I think they will be proven wrong.

I do hope cryptsy can overcome the challenges it presently faces.

I am not getting a good yield on thec0de pool.  Anyone having a similar issue?  My yield is below 80%, i.e. my payout is less than 80% of what I expect given my hashrate and network difficulty.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

On the other hand, outhashed.com p2pool used to have good yield, but the pool frequently drops.

If you guys can suggest a pool that I can join, that would be great.  Thanks.

I've sat on a florin pool, and noticed that the network hashrate was 20MH, yet the pool hashrate was 40MH.. with clients reporting wildly inaccurate hashrates, how can we expect that profitability calculations are correct ? Add to that fluctuations in the network hashrate itself.

As far as I'm aware, this problem has been ignored by other developers, and it is widespread within alt-coins. Lava has not ignored this, and is reasonably confident that it will be addressed in the new client release.

Gr33k is one of our oldest pool operators, and has acted honestly and honourably, but mcKenziemining is an experienced pool op I have used..
