Wow, these look nice. And I like that they're in 'Quarter' denominations, as opposed to the higher BTC0.5 and BTC1.0 I see around.

Thank you Korbman Smiley

Could you post a high resolution picture of the coin?

Yes, I will do so when I get home tonight.

124  Economy / Collectibles / Do it Yourself - Physical Bitcoin [ coins sold out ] on: December 17, 2013, 06:51:59 PM
I had planned on releasing custom made loaded coins to follow up the previous loaded coins I had.  Given the recent happenings and the fact that I do this for fun and not business I'm liquidating what I have as DIY coins instead of loaded coins.

Info on previous coins and the current diy pieces at http://serpco.in

Some images/info about the DIY coins below:

Blank Coins

 - 35mm diameter
 - Zinc Alloy
 - Antique finish
 - Labeled 2014
 - Labeled QUARTER BITCOIN

Hologram Labels

 - 32mm dameter
 - 13mm x 2mm transparent window
 - Honeycomb release for tamper evidence
 - Security edge slits for tamper evidence
 - 16 labels per sheet

Example Coin with Air-tite case

Pricing
.010 btc / sheet of 16 labels
.005 btc / blank coin
.001 btc / air-tite w/ rubber ring (max = # coins ordered)

Shipping
.01  US48
.04  Worldwide

Software - not required
Here is some scripts to help create addresses and labels to go under the holograms
with instructions on how to use them in Ubuntu.
https://github.com/jondale/serpcoin

These scripts are not required.
You can create your own addresses and make your own labels to go under the hologram just fine.

I am now sold out of all coins.  I still have sheets of holograms available if you want them.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I just found out about these coins and since they are no longer being produced I searched on ebay and found this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Casascius-10-mBTC-01-Btc-Bitcoin-physical-loaded-Not-Litecoin-FTC-Digital-/171196456193?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27dc1a9d01

Are these the ones? I don't see the coin number on these like the ones you originally made so I feel like they are knockoffs?

Thanks for any input.

No, those are not mine.
126  Economy / Goods / Re: For Sale: Bitcoin Art on: December 05, 2013, 09:30:50 PM
I really like this but I'm not the type to put art up on a wall.

Would it be insulting if I asked about having this design on a t-shirt?
127  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honus Wagner Baseball Card, Lewis, Plank and Magie-Pics Auction 0.01 BTC on: September 13, 2013, 01:01:46 AM
This is probably a reproduction but imagine the story this would make if it wasn't.  I remember having a reproduction when I was a kid.
128  Economy / Goods / Re: Loaded Aluminum Casascius Coins [50 mBTC] [v2] [sold out] on: September 11, 2013, 04:20:20 AM
Serp, any plans to make another series?

Yes, I'm late on the next batch due to some other projects going on.  I'll get some out soon though.
129  Economy / Goods / Re: Serp error coin on: August 30, 2013, 06:27:29 PM
v2 39 is one..   i think a quite a few of v2 that are printed with 5 character firstbits may be also..

blockchain.info had a problem with firstbits for several weeks, think it started mid to late july but I'm not positive..

You are right.  I just ran them through and checked them via script.  All of v0.1 and v1 are labeled with the correct first bits.  44 out of 48 coins in v2 are labeled 1 character too short.  For version 2, coins #20, #29, #33, and #41 are the only ones labeled with the full first bits.

Sorry about that all and thanks for bringing it more to my attention.

I have updated http://serpco.in/bits.txt to reflect this.
130  Economy / Goods / Re: Serp error coin on: August 30, 2013, 03:08:52 AM
Hey everyone.  The coin in question here is labeled 16J2e and it's full address is 16J2e5LGkMTAjn7JZt4o78od4KKS9ZXf4P.  During the creation process I used blockchain.info's api to get the first bits.  Apparently there was a timing or indexing issue there because the bits returned ended up changing.  Lesson learned, I'll not rely on that method in the future.

I have not found any other coin that is mislabeled but I will be running a script to verify them all here shortly.  For reference on the coins already produced the labeled address and the full bitcoin address can be verified below:

Have you posted order dates for when you ordered the chips?  Perhaps my reading comprehension is lacking here but I am unable to find it.   Thanks.

Awesome steelboy.  Hope you enjoy them.
133  Economy / Goods / Re: Loaded Aluminum Casascius Coins [50 mBTC] [v2] [sold out] on: August 05, 2013, 01:46:06 AM
I got my coins in, thanks!  I have to say, as a long time coin collector who's been into BTC and LTC for the past year or so, I am very impressed with all the physical coins that you and others are producing.  I've got a stellar collection building up.

Glad you like them worldtreasurefinders. Smiley

Just an update that I'm now sold out of these.
135  Economy / Goods / Re: Loaded Aluminum Casascius Coins [50 mBTC] [v2] on: July 29, 2013, 05:11:50 PM
Hey steelboy,

I answered you in PM but just wanted to say here in the thread that I always check both this post and pm's before filling an order.  I just had to run a few errands for a little while this morning so took me a bit to answer.  Miffman got in last night before I went to bed even Smiley

Time for another round of coins.

 - Labeled sc v2 on the left side.
 - Labeled with #/48 on the right side.

Shipping outside US: 0.1 first class or 0.24 priority.

As with all previous orders, I will ship the coins out the next day and send you a tracking number the day I ship.  First class is cheap but tracking is often unreliable even in the US.  Tracking by any method for international orders is almost useless.  If you want it shipped some other way then just let me know and I'll investigate it.

10 coins per order for the first 2 days.
No limit starting Tuesday (7/30/2013).

Sorry the date in the image is from last night as I finished them then but didn't get the post up till today.  If you need some more verification just let me know.

Im itching to buy more, any new updates?

Hey btceic, I'm hoping to have more soon.  I've had to work on other projects recently but I plan to have some more by next week sometime.
138  Economy / Goods / Re: Loaded Aluminum Casascius Coins [50 mBTC] [sold out] on: July 16, 2013, 05:55:10 PM
I received my coins as well. They are in great shape.

Just as an FYI, the difference between a "g" and "q" is hard to tell as the lower portion is cut off. Something to keep in mind for the next batch run might be to exclude all "j", "g", "q", "p", "y", etc. characters. Also might want to avoid h and b, because the cutoff makes it hard to tell which is which.

Even with this handicap I was still able to identify and confirm all of the addresses had been loaded, though.

Thanks Raize and thanks for the feedback.  I'll be sure and address these things in the next set.
139  Economy / Goods / Re: Loaded Aluminum Casascius Coins [50 mBTC] [sold out] on: July 16, 2013, 01:35:39 PM
What other coins do you have planned?

Hey OgNasty, I will likely have another set in a few weeks but I have not decided what the denomination will be yet.  It will be somewhere between 10 and 100 millibitcoin.
140  Economy / Goods / Re: Aluminum Casascius Coins [sold out] on: July 16, 2013, 01:22:55 PM
Excuse that unpleasant hacker that decided to post negative comments about your coins using my account...I think all physical coins are cool as shit, and yours are no exception.  this prick really got around that day pissing on all kinds of threads using my account as his puppet.  Discovered it two days later, after a bunch of people decided they didn't like me anymore because my avatar brazenly insulted them, understandable, but it sucks that some people truly believed that was me.

Not a problem hennessyhemp.  Sorry you had issues with your account.
