Rewriting the "regproducer" contract.

The EOS42 team shared a new regproducer contract proposal. The intent of the regproducer is to register an account as a BP candidate, the EOS account needs to approve the regproducer agreement prior to becoming a BP. MeetOne sidechain launch and airdrop information.

The MeetOne sidechain will soon be launched. Along with the launch of the network, every EOS mainnet accounts will have the right to receive the MEETONE airdrop.

On February 19th, the MEETONE team will snapshot the EOS Mainnet accounts, while the sidechain will launch the 26th February and get activated the 27th Februray.  Finally, from February 27th to March 6th MEETONE users can claim their token at a ratio of 2 EOS : 1 MEETONE.

Only 38% of registered genesis accounts have been used.

Thanks to the EOS Authority tool Ben from ShEOS and Joe from EOS Asia, established that only 38% of genesis account that successfully registered have been used since the launch of EOS.

The Everipedia team published on Medium a sneak peak of there new User Interface. All of these designs and ideas are still a work in progress, the final versions should be completed by Q2 of 2019.
 
Updates concern:

- Homepage: on the new homepage users can view featured articles based on personal preference, popular articles and more.

- Editorial Leaderboard, will be highlighting Everipedia’s top contributors daily, weekly, monthly and of all time.

- Recent Activity feed: a new feed that aims to incentivize people to read through the proposed edits and vote.

- New article design page.

- Interactive Media Feature. Users will be able to easily add custom photos, GIFs, videos and other types of media into articles, such as YouTube video and Tweets.

Comparing ETC to BTC and ETH on daily total transactions, we see that ETC has remained relatively stable post the DAO, and behaves similar to BTC in the genesis-current time period.

BTC transactions look like they're rising while ETH transactions look like they're dropping.

Cooperative Voting Infrastructure Bounties.

EOS42 started a new initiative to build important EOS Infrastructure, in partnership with some of the most prominent EOS proxies. The initiative is based over a bounty program, where voters can decide which projects they want to see released, by flexing their voting power.

Why 15% Token Participation is Irrelevant

Recently, EOS New York published an article explaining their thoughts about the 15% threshold for Referendum Proposals.

According to the EOS constitution, a referendum needs no less than 15% vote participation among tokens to pass. In their article, EOS New York highlighted two main issues with the 15% threshold.

1. EOS token holders can shift their votes towards BPs that support the proposal. In this case the referendum would pass even if the 15% threshold is not met

2. ‘No’ voters are not incentivized to vote, as a ‘no’ vote could contribute to the success of a proposal rather than impeding it.

​USDEOS, a new decentralized stablecoin on EOS.

Today the USDEOS project has been announced on Twitter. USDEOS is a Decentralized Stablecoin System based on EOS.

The system uses smart contracts to generate the USDE stablecoin. With conservative Collateralization Ratios, the system neutralizes the potential crisis of confidence and allows the stablecoin to have a 1:1 peg with USD.
Currently the beta version is under testing.
