121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggestions for online gamblers on: April 06, 2020, 05:46:04 PM
All advices you gave are good practices for a disciplined gamblers however people forget that once they are already in that situation. If we'll summarize it, I think it'll be compress into one advice which is not to be greedy and discpline yourself. At the end of the day, what really matters in gambling is how you enjoy the game and how profitable you are regardless if you're greedy gambler or not.
That is why people needed to take not of this suggestion because it is highly recommended and it really can help everyone, we need to moderate the funds that we are releasing we need to balance it so that in case of emergency there will be funds. Not all funds needed to be put in gambling although some of us make it as their work.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a threat or fun? on: April 06, 2020, 04:11:44 PM
I will stick to your question, It will always be a threat. They say gambling is for fun but when a gambler felt the moment of winning and the moment of losing, they will always have a choice to bet more. The thrill, the entertainment, the feeling of being intelligent and skilled, the desire to win more money, the desperation to get back the money lost---are just few emotions why it is a threat. Once you feel those emotions, you can lose your control and can become a compulsive gambler. Its fun but will always be a threat.
It can be a threat based on every person perpective, as what we can see we can be good of we know how to manage our resources and our game play, it can help us in many ways, and also it can be harmful if we cannot manage our greedines, it will destroy our lives and can be a threat. Greediness is a threat if we cannot manage it, it is inevitable but it could be lessened in many ways.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: April 06, 2020, 03:16:23 PM
Have you known that there is an age restriction in gambling? But it is varied among the countries in the world. I have just checked in wikipedia that commonly someone can play gambling starting from the age of 15/16/18/19/20/21 years. It depends on where he lives, every country may have different regulation related to the age restriction. Below I classify some countries based on the age restriction:

Age 5: Malawi (Casino)

Age 15: Iceland (lottery)

Age 16: United Kingdom (Football pool, Scratchcards), Estonia (other), New Zealand (instant kiwi)

Age 18: Australia, Kiribati, Nauru, New Zealand (horse racing), Palau, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Vanuatu, Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, México, etc

Age 19: South Korea, Canada, USA

Age 20: New Zealand (Casino), Sweden (Casino), Japan, Nigeria

Age 21: Belgium, Estonia (Casino), Armenia, India, Lebanon, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines (casino), Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt, Namibia, Niger (casino), Bahamas, Saint Kitts and Nevis, US Virgin Islands (casino), USA, Macau

Age 23: Greece

Source & more detail information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambling_age#cite_note-27

I cannot say that it is true that Malawi Allows an age 5 to gamble, because the source is the Wikipedia (articles may edit it for free), also age 5 cannot read nor write in a straight language or can compute but this one is acceptable if the IQ of that kid is high, but then I do not think that it is good for a teenager or a child to play in that age, also 18 above is more good since, they can be put in jail if they are disobeying laws regarding gambling.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess online? on: April 06, 2020, 12:06:33 PM
Can anyone tell me if you know any website where you can play online chess with other people
and that both man can invest crypto and winner takes it all?
I do love to play chess as well, but I do not know if there will be a betting website for online chess game. If there will be an online of it, I love to join that, I hope some developer can make it too not only card games, and spectators can bet to which side they are wishing to put money. Games of the Generals is good game too, I think there is an online website for that but does not a betting site.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: April 05, 2020, 11:52:07 PM

Yes, I always try to record how much money I used for gamblimg.

I don't see it as an investment since there is no guarantee that I will win every time I play. The way how I track the money I used for gambling is simply I record it on an excel file including the date, its value and whether if I win or not.
There is a history of all your losses and wins in every game you are doing. So that you may see if you are progressing or you have always losing. Just keep on tracking so that you may change your way if ever you continue to lose. Then if your strategy is effective then keep it up. But always remember to control and manage all your assets.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: April 05, 2020, 04:22:05 PM

I also suffer from that kind of situation but I was to brave to tell my family about it, of course, you must accept their anger because you deserve it, but it causes me sleeplessness nights because we need money very bad back then, but it made me realize that gambling is something you must have control and don't pour everything even though it is tempting to do so.

Lucky for you, you already told your family about that. Until now everytime I remembered how much I'd loss in my gambling addiction 2yrs ago it keeps me awake till morning, it is still a nightmare for me, since then I learned my lesson not to put all my assets in a game, because I lost everything on that game.
127  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: April 05, 2020, 02:02:53 PM
Not sure when the pandemic will last. We have been hearing clinical trials of some drugs but hopefully, we can get an answer to this before the last quarter of the year. The real view of how the economy of many countries will react to this will be very clear after this pandemic. There are already some news that there might be another global economy recession.
We barely know when does this vaccines and antidote will occurs, but I think a large pharmaceutical is now having an on going development on their drugs, so let us wait for it to be available, when this happen, market will recover its losses and the coin of that pharmaceutical if ever it has its own, it will have a great number of buyers and could be an expensive one due to public demand of their goods so their coins will go high too.
128  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc going to 2k or 3k or 7k or 9k on: April 05, 2020, 12:35:26 PM
This covid-19 has been affecting the market seriously, but as of recent everything seems to be getting better and even Dow Jones has been a bit up recently, and Bitcoin went up too and luckily it has remained with its price of over 6,000 USD without going below and I’m so happy about that.

I can’t predict where it will be heading and I can’t tell what led to the price getting back up to this level. But I’m thinking that this level is going to be the lowest level as of now, and as time goes on and by the time this pandemic fades off, there will be further increase and the price will keep on going up.  Hopefully Smiley.
I think, bitcoin will ranges from $6000-$8000 this year, it will goes higher 3months from now, because I think the covid19 will gone by that time, when there are enough vaccines that will be available to our market. But it will not goes up to fast, it will go little by little until, many people stop doing panic selling, because by that the market really affected that market is going down.
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: April 05, 2020, 11:32:54 AM
It's so boring that all sports have been postponed, I, as a sports gambler, are a little disappointed that I can't bet on sports matches.
Now I have to switch to playing gambling online, not bad while waiting for the situation to return to normal. Indeed this covid-19 made
a big disaster, I hope the spread can be stopped and the anti-virus can be made immediately.
Yes I hope it as well, it really affects all of my transactions and hobbies, I hope they develop the vaccines so that people will not get hitted with corona virus, I hope someday it will back to normal, I am missing my casino friends, and playing with them, I am now playing in some online casinos now, and that is all I can do since it is lockdown. I am reading some books as well.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Betting Double After Losing is Really a Good Decision? on: April 04, 2020, 03:33:25 PM
But that is the issue you cannot really control your luck and you will never have that ability so if eventually the results you are getting go against you not only you are going to lose all your profits with that strategy you are also going to be very tempted to try to double your bet right there to try to recover it and you will go through your capital at an amazing speed, this is why I never recommend martingale or any other strategy that is similar because in the heat of the moment you are bound to take decisions you would not normally do and suffer huge consequences because of it.
For me, whatever it is, I would not do that, in gambling you have a 50/50 chance in every bet that you will make, so I think when you do making double your bet can only result in not a good thing, you must control your fund and gameplay as well, so that you may avoid this thing and can have a little loss, because if you do, you will have a triple loss, and can only frustrate and make you bet again and again until you cover all those loses.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can crypto gambling be provably fair to regulators? on: April 04, 2020, 02:13:28 PM
I think that will not be necessary because there will investigations when that happens and I think that is not worth it because you have to spend money to have the maintenance of regulators, it is more beter for investigations because I am there will be audit trail.
The regulators would already check the gambling site that will apply for a license, and they will not approve it if they will not pass the requirement.
Well, along the way, it's also possible that the site could cheat since not all the time the regulators are operating, but these days, gamblers are already smart, they will do an audit of their own to determine if the site is still trustworthy.
Yes, they are having guidelines and protocol, on which party should they give the license to operate, and when the time they will give them a licensed they are also going to monitor the progress and the all the flow of the website, so that both parties are having a secured transactions. Regulators needed to be transparent in all means, since we are talking a large amount of money in here.

133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: April 03, 2020, 06:46:35 AM
Gambling is NOTHING like day trading.  As an investment advisor by trade, I am quite versed on the topic.  The vast majority of people should first off not be day trading.  Trading takes a lot of time, skill and research to be able to know how to do so correctly.  I'd say 98% of investors should not be day trading.  Day trading involves actual companies and not just a game of mostly luck.  Stocks are backed by businesses and often when trading it's not an all or nothing scenario as is most often the case with gambling.  Gambling often takes no skill at all or even any need for research.  Both are something to consider heavily before doing so, making sure that you're willing to lose it all in both cases is a big part of it.  Some similarities do exist, but for the most part they're very different.
Yes they are different. In many ways, in trading you may earn in a day trading only if you know how to scalp and also if you are having a good hands, but if not then you need to wait, while in gambling you may lost everything in just one bet so you need to think every move you are doing.

Salamat rito kabayan.

136  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin's price, at ang ating mental health. on: April 02, 2020, 03:19:31 PM
137  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Now Fully Legal in South Korea on: April 02, 2020, 01:12:39 PM
this decision is very good. We know that South Korea is now a nest of the corona virus, where fiat money is one of the means of transmission. by using cryptocurrency for transaction tools, it can inhibit the spread of this virus so that it does not expand widely, because the vaccine has not yet been found,
with a rapid deployment will certainly cause disruption of community activities that have an impact on the country's economy
It will be a good start since we all know that in different part of the world, south korea has a great source of business as well, when they also put this in their business, many business in other countries will do the same as well, as well as it can make the market grows because of that initiative.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: April 02, 2020, 12:01:31 PM
I dont think it has a strong relationship with each other, some people gamble just for fun and if they know how to control themselves they will not ended up as a drug or alcohol addict. It really depends on the discipline of the user and how he can manage his hobby to become productive and not toxic.

I am pretty sure people who are successful in gambling does not do drugs and are not addicted to it or an alcoholic person because they need to focus in every game and we know alcohol and drugs would destroy your mind and you'll not be able to make a good judgment.
People always relate gambling and addiction, wherein not all gamblers are addicts, and not all addicts are gamblers, ad hominem mates. If the person is having a health issues that can possibly affected by his  gambling addiction well in that case, that gambler is addict in terms of playing he needed to be rehab and get consult from the psych so that his mindset will be corrected and also, he can play again with a healthy body and mind.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Keeping A Record Of Your Losses Will Make You Realize To Stop Gambling on: April 02, 2020, 04:05:54 AM
For me keeping a record of losses will only result on you getting frustrated and regretting which causes you to toxically take your chances again even though the chances of winning is tough.
Agree with this, we can say that you have your record, it can only serve as your list of losses, so that by next time you will be determined to win, and too much determination for me, can lead to frustrations, we should record what strategy we used for it to become our guide that we dont need to use that again, but the odds are really difficult for me to learn since it is so much tricky and cant understand very well.
