Yeah, I reported it already. I was dumb enough to run the installer and then I was like, you fucking moron. Shut down system immediately and disconnected. Sure enough a keylogger was installed, something called Dark Comet.

Love it! It's a race now between my new hub and the usbs! Here's to 1 day delivery after canary ships (optimistic!).

TJ

My USB hub won the race. I waited to order until confirmation from Canary.

I went with the GearMo. It looks so lonely right now with just a fan in it and a USB data stick I threw in just to test.

as a heads ups  it reads a 12v 3 amp brick   that is about  a 7 or 8 stick max.

Not sure about that, saw that this had actually been reviewed by some people here that 10 spots out of 10 were usable. Not too worried for me personally though since I only ordered 7 and a fan from amazon.

Hey Fible,

What kind of a time frame can we expect for being able use bigger intervals like 2h, 6h, 12h and 24h?

Only reason I ask is that I think me and many others who have this bot would like to explore most of the options available to EMA trading.

I know that you have talked about frequency trading and other things like that, but I feel like hitting that before hitting bigger intervals is kind of going against the concept of having an EMA bot, and kind of going against what people have bought from you.

So do you have any approximate timeframe of getting us bigger intervals past 1 hour? And this is backed not just be feature requests but by even Goomboo who has said he now prefers longer intervals than the 1 hour time frame.

I'm just hoping you guys are prioritizing this right behind backtesting since any other major feature instead of longer intervals would just seem like more fluff to me that isn't really necessary to be a full fledged EMA bot.

Hi Dresden Smiley,
I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, it's my fault for discussing features without timelines. Alternative strategy modules are planned for the V3 lifecycle a couple of months down the road, I bring those up to get feedback on what people would like to see Smiley.

About the higher time frames; I can guarantee those will be released as described in your post up to a 12h time frame during the first week of September (two weeks from now); we may send Beta's out a bit earlier than that. We are looking into adding 24 hours to complete the cycle but there are technical issues with this that are a bit beyond the scope of my understanding. I can promise you every effort is being made to satisfy the 24 hour request and that all the other ones have already been built in to the new release.

We do our best to satisfy as many customer demands as technically feasible in the shortest time frame possible Smiley.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Pablo.

Awesome. This is kind of what I had figured but I wasn't sure where on the timeframe this was. Thanks for responding = )

I look forward to messing around with 2h specifically myself. I can imagine that 24h does come with some challenges that you guys may need to address from a technical standpoint before it can enter in officially. I would definitely be interesting in helping to test a beta version that has this specific feature in a working state.

After a small hiccup, customs has given my MONSTER shipment a release and I expect to be berated by the DHL delivery guy tomorrow...

there's a chance that they will run 1 delivery van tomorrow just for my shipment, so it could be later in the day...

400 USB units remain and 20 blades still available. I am going to close this group most likely tonight.

You rock Canary! Thanks for being awesome = )

Let the USB miner addiction begin...

Hey Fible, with these emails:

Code:
EMA diff is at -0.081% (1 BTC = 104.05555 USD) at mtgox.

A sell order was triggered!

Your friendly trading bot.

Would it be possible to start including actual specifics? i.e. say how much BTC was sold and what the USD balance was after the sell?

Same thing with Buy Orders? Showing how much BTC was bought and what the BTC balance is after the buy?

The way I've been doing it is allowing for the 0.25% on the upswing but changing the selling to be as fast as possible. Reason being that when Bitcoin sells start, they typically can dive pretty fast in a 2-3 hour period, regardless of market conditions. This last 10/21 EMA crossover was a good example of losing a bit if you had waited for the -0.25% mark to sell.
132  Economy / Services / Re: Butter Bot!: New BTC-E and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: August 01, 2013, 08:28:48 PM
You guys should look at the other indicators to see where the market is going if you are going to stare at the bots ema stats screen:
(Taken from RTBTC.com, I highly recommend their paid charting service)

Yeah, I've used this EMA process as a diving board for technical trading. I find it interesting that you're using a 21/14 EMA line up there, what's the logic specifically for that?

Also, I have done a little bit of looking into Stochastic RSI trading on BTCE specifically. What frequency do you find the best for you?
133  Economy / Services / Re: Butter Bot!: New BTC-E and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: August 01, 2013, 02:04:35 AM
I have to admit I was a little bit nervous what with the code rewrite, but the sell went through just fine!

Now I'm confident enough to let this bot sit by itself for the next few months and just slowly collect my winnings = )

Man, this crossover is being tricky. Been watching today, its silly. It's like crooooooooooooooooooooooooooossssss......... nope. crooooooooooooooooooooooooooossssss......... nope. crooooooooooooooooooooooooooossssss......... nope.

135  Economy / Services / Re: Butter Bot!: New BTC-E and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: July 31, 2013, 05:13:02 PM
So here in my mind is the reason EMA is misunderstood..

We have been at what 110 to 111 per BTC last night into today..   Now its dropped to 107..  Do you sell now?   Maybe??, could be???, maybe not???, are you a fortune Teller?  (Note these are questions I am asking myself not you guys.. LOL)

But here is the key..

Lets say we sell now (EMA has not told us to sell now)..  What if after we sell it goes back up to 115 or 120? , 140..  When do you jump back in?  Do you jump back in?

Or what if we wait and it continues down but we let EMA do its thing and it sells at say 101(Still made a profit for me).. Yes not as big as I might have made if I sold at 108..  But how did I know that for sure?    I don’t know that and you don’t either..  And even EMA really don’t know that..  But what EMA does know is when it’s detecting an up or down trend(long enough to trigger a buy or sell)…

So repeat the above scenario 10 or 15 times over the next year..  And then think about this..

What if you held tight and did not sell right now but trusted EMA.. And the price goes up to 140 over the next week?..   Now you are talking..

EMA simply gives you a method where you should avoid BIG losses, win some small gains, and catch a BIG gain from time to time..  Simple as that..

Can you do the same?  Yea you probably can over the short term(with a little luck) but If you can over the long term, you are better than probably 99% of the investors out there and should not even be here but writing books and giving lectures..

Yeah, if you stick with it long enough you'll eventually get some pretty decent gains. EMA trading is hard because you have to disconnect yourself from price and focus on the long term. Backtesting has been able to show time and time again that EMA trading is far more productive than just buying and holding. It can also effectively help you slowly increase your bank roll as far as BTC is concerned. The nice thing about EMA is that it also doesn't apply JUST to bitcoin but pretty much any stock or commodity out there.

Personally I just want to say that Fible and the BBot team have been doing EXCELLENT support for this product and I look forward to many of the changes they plan on putting into this app. Discovering this thread has taken away a lot of the magic of the bitcoin price trends and has given me a better overall grasp of the market.

I'm looking forward to the decent pay off on the next crossover. Buying in at sub 96 was awesome.

Though, nevermind, it looks like my old version isn't running correctly. This looks like a forced upgrade : /

Oh well. Guess I have no choice.
138  Economy / Services / Re: Butter Bot!: New BTC-E and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: July 31, 2013, 02:30:57 AM
Nope. Personally working in a software environment myself, new versions are always suspect until tested and vetted. And since this is such a decent rally, I'd hate for it to go to waste buy having an untested new version fail in it's basic function on a potentially money losing transaction.

Phrases like, "Code rewritten from the ground up" are always risky. Code "rewrites" don't necessarily mean "better code". I'd rather wait a little bit and see how the new version treats you guys, and then switch over when its been tested, vetted and verified as working correctly.
139  Economy / Services / Re: Butter Bot!: New BTC-E and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: July 31, 2013, 01:23:57 AM
Call me paranoid, but I'm waiting to upgrade until this current rally ends. Don't want to put my sells in jeopardy.
140  Economy / Services / Re: B-BOT: New BTC-E and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: July 29, 2013, 09:58:17 PM
I have a question Fible.

If I am running the bot from two different computers, and say one bot has different settings than the other, which one actually sends requests, or will both attempt to at the same time?
