pool?

we supplied one benjy - but it hasnt been updated due to the 'issues' that have occurred behind the scenes ... we need to terminate it - unless some arrangement can be made ...

i think ocminer has a pool for b3coin - that is current ... im not sure mate ... that is suprnova - and he is a great guy / dev with a good pool system ... i have a great deal of respect for ocminer ...

btw - are you the miner on mue? ... if so - you need to REDO the workers after you log out and login to the pool again ...

sso has been setup on all the cwi-pools now - and if that miner is yours - then you are wasting you hash and power until you get the account setup again ... this now only needs to be done once ...

let us know whether it is you - and what issues you may have - if any ...

renamed it to b3-coin.conf and I'm only connected to these :

188.68.52.172:5647
85.214.68.75:5647

any idea why? does it even matter ?

b3-coin.conf b3coin.conf

still sync and connection issues mate ...

and this is WHY the cwi infrastructure was so very important for the sync and stability of the network ...

but you DO have your OWN nodes i guess - so this issue should never have come about - right? ...

i dont like seeing this coin struggle - but it is what it is i guess ...

123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✹✹✹ GOLDBLOCKS ✹✹✹ PORTABLE WEALTH ✹✹✹ on: December 29, 2016, 02:57:44 AM
#crysx, yes ill test it, on both ports.

btw seems that GB becomes very interesting coin, look at just the hashrate

yup ...

and tanx ... seems to be doing ok so far - but the real test will be when we hit a block - and the database is pushed ... this should happen soon ...

if all is well - we will reinstate the pool on the old addresses and ports for the time being - while we rebuild the new pool on the new cwi-server and cwi-stratum ... so that miners can migrate across to the new pool - and we can eventually close this older pool ...

btw - a block was hit - and it seems to have been allocated and the system seems stable ...

lets keep testing this for the day ( night for you ) and skype me when you are awake to do a few smaller things - then re-release the pool if all is well ...

tanx again ...

124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✹✹✹ GOLDBLOCKS ✹✹✹ PORTABLE WEALTH ✹✹✹ on: December 28, 2016, 10:16:15 AM
hi all ...

the sync of the goldblocks wallet for the official pool is now complete - and we are testing the functionality of the pool and systems we have in place ...

it is still using the older stratum currently - which means both ports for hidiff and lodiff will be fully functional once again ...

the miner that kept his / her system mining with rejected blocks looked like they poiinted the WRONG algo at the pool ...

eitherway - his / her ip has been blocked - and their account locked ... so who ever you are - please contact us if you wish to be unlocked and unblocked ...

once testing is complete - we will 'tentatively' put the dns and pool back on ... and watch carefully ...

it is my night here - and so if anything goes wrong for any reason - it will remain that way until i wake ... i have taken full responsibility over this pool - and only i can access it fully ...

so please inform us of anything that happens with the pool - and anything that anyone sees go awry for any reason ... that would be very appreciated ...

the new pool is being built on the new custom cwi-stratum on the new cwi pool system and new cwi server ... so we will advise when this is started ...

the coins and mining and system all seem to be intact - and we hope that we can continue this way - at least until the new pool is up and running ...

we appreciate your patience with this - as its taken a while to do ...

currently - there are 48peers connected to the pool wallet - and it seems to be running solid for the time being ... though we do need miners to test again ... we need to see how the database holds out during the mining period - so any help will be very much appreciated ...

@darkgold - maybe using your miners to test initially would be safest ...

let me know - as i will be online for the next hour on skype ...

tanx ...

reading all theses posts today and it all sounds really great for whats coming from cwi. think i need to learn how to code though

much appreciated for the kind words ...

i have only touched the tip of the iceberg with what cwi will be bringing to the table in the coming 12months of 2017 ...

we will update the cwi thread next month - and when we do - we will be plotting a picture of what the coming months will bring and what it will entail ...

i like the conversation here, dargold project is and will be part of cwi in the future.
Any good suggestions and help will be accepted.
Source is open for everyone....
I am really grateful for your interest about GoldBlocks project.

i am happy to hear that from you mate ...

the new year will be bringing much in not only the infrastructure - but also the development ...

so the work is not just in the backend and background making it look like not much is happening ... the foreground work will start to show the fruits of what we have been doing for so long ... and we will be ahppy to have goldblocks as being a part of that in everyway ...

This looks like a really great coin to start investing into it. The only thing is only being actively traded on a single exchange which is Bittrex, but as long as it keeps alive on that market, then it should be no issue.

I'm always on the lookout for hybrid PoW/PoS coins so I will give TeslaCoin a shot. Still, I wonder if the dev is still active or the community has taken over?  Huh

Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to support this coin for the long term.  Smiley

take a look above you ...

as far as i know - he is the dev behind all this ...

though i am new to the thread and the project - so i may be just speaking my mind rather than facts at the moment ...

but you are right - it is an interesting project ... something definitely worth keeping an eye on ...

ok - im here now ...

found you ...

im going to readup on the thread when i have a little time ...

#crysx

Welcome to Teslacoin!

tanx mate ...

im trying to readup as much as i can on tes ...

though im a little discouraged that its PoS only ...

but great idea ...

#crysx

You dont like POS coins? I look for them because its a mining game I can get with not having any miners of my own and all.

its not i dont 'like' pos coins at all ...

i am miner first and foremost - so pos is a bit of 'downer' for me ...

but all good in the fight for pow and pow and all thats in between ...

Smiley ...

#crysx

We are all investors here, but some of us invest directly in coins and others you invest in mining to get coins.
It's a matter of how you feel more confortable investing. Both are ok.
But I think diversification is key. PoS and PoW.
I'm ok with PoW coins even if I can not mine.
I think projects are more important, than how I get my stake

agreed ...

it really is an opinionated decision - and its of personal opinion that guides where i lay my btc ...

as you know - its usually into thefarm - which is in dire need of maintenance at the moment ...

ill keep watching and possibly invest in the coming year - but the focus will be completely on cwi and our projects for the immediate future ...

129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HOW TO SET UP OVERCLOCKING AND FAN CONTROL ON UBUNTU 16.04 FOR NVIDIA CARDS on: December 27, 2016, 09:51:48 AM
Ubuntu varients like XUbuntu should work the same.

XUbuntu has that nice "startup" stuff built into the XFCE desktop though, and doesn't make you put ".sh" at the end of shell scripts to run them, though they DO need to be CHMODed to an executeable status.

Most mining software programmers write to Ubuntu (I'm not sure why that started but it's definitely the default by now).
Getting most mining sofware to work on non-Ubuntu (or at least non-Debian) varients therefore becomes a major chore at best.

I just wish Grub didn't make "cloning" an existing working installation a PITA (I can clone a working Slackware setup with a single "DD" command, trivial easy and built into ANY distro, because of it's use of LILO).

I suspect it wouldn't be such a PITA if grub didn't force the use of that stupid "UUID" .... GARBAGE ....

Well, the Ubuntu development team have extra optimisation to ensure the max performance happens with GPU drivers. There are quite a few decent games playable on Ubuntu now.

For example: I tested a straight install of the latest Nvidia drivers, without installing via Software & Updates , and then Additional Drivers the Ubuntu officially tested Nvidia 367.57 drivers.

I found that the straight install of latest Nvidia drivers became unstable and would hash at 40% of the GPUs actual max hashrate speed.

Therefore, the Ubuntu development teams have extra installs, which make Nvidia drivers stable and achieve the max GPU performance, which carry when updating too the latest Nvidia drivers.

hence ...

backing what i was saying ...

if dev teams would actually support redhat systems as much as debian based systems - we would have a multitude of systems to choose from - and not a finite set of systems ...

though i totally agree with ubuntus support structure and setup - i am saddened by the lack of support for almost any other distro other that ubuntu / debian based ...

which we will hopefully change this coming year Wink ...

hehehe ...

i actually couldnt agree with you more ...

debian based distros are now the 'norm' - but that doesnt mean that a multitude of rhel based systems are not in use today - because they are ... infact in much more businesses and corporates than any other distribution ...

but come crypto mining - and debian based systems become something that is used throughout - and it blows my mind why ... not that i am against these systems - just that im agaians the use of the term 'linux' to describe ubuntu - rather than ALL distributions ...

anyway - there are so many that have made it a warcry now - that newbies that come into the miner scene seem to get led down into a spiral rabbit hole and never come out the same when it comes to distros of any sort ... ive been a redaht guy ( yup - ive haerd it all before and heard all the condolences speeches ) but redhat systems are the number ONE and primary business systems in the world to date ... so in a crypto sense - it may not be too much of accolade - but in the business world ( which makes up more then 88% of the linux systems globally ) it matters that redhat is the stable and common system ... which means if crypto mining actually took anything really seriously with regards to implementation in this field - they may just have some corporate grunt on cryptos side ...

but alas ...

the details of the instructions for oc and linux of this thread however - are actually quite good ...

tanx for that victim Smiley ...

Thanks for this guide!

No problems, mate Smiley

It sorts out a lot of problems people have been having getting the max GPU performance on Linux installations and enabling all the GPUs overclocking and fan controls.

Thank you, nice guide Wink

ps: Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas as well

have a happy Christmas mate ...

when i get back into it all in the next couple of days - ill see what ( if any ) of this guide works with redhat based systems ...

once again - no one has any guide or intention on releasing anything for rhel based systems ( like feora ) even though it is onf of the highest rated and used system on the planet ...

rhel itself is used in the majority of the corporate systems backend - and no one has tapped into that market to supply to those people and systems as well ... except cwi of course Wink ...

tanx and njoi the time of this joyous occasion ...

#crysx

The latest Mint version is based on Ubuntu 16.04LTS - so I'd reckon that will be similar process

yup ...

debian based systems like that are fundamentally different to the rhel based systems ...

from installs to support in repos - some things are similar - but very few ... most things between the different distributions are completely different - but usually not impossible to do ...

the type of mining farm that is currently being devised is unique to cwi and thefarm ... it is being done no where else in the world and the cooling design i am designing for the miners themselves - is just as unique ... so when an oc is stable for a particular type of card or chipset - then the cooling design can be implemented to better keep the gpu cards themselves much cooler - and the mining much more simplified but highly optimized with our miner ...

so this is one of the things i would like to see happen within the coming 12months of 2017 come to fruition ... alongside all the other things we have - this will make a handy addition to the knowledgebase we are also putting together ... this will also simplify the installation procedures which almost NO developmental projects out there support off the bat - redhat systems ...

community members and devs alike seem to think the word linux is synonymous with ubuntu / debian ... its not ...

will let you know how we go in the coming months ...

My main interests and time are spent on security projects and developing security tools for webdev's and pen-testing.

Python/C++/Ruby/.Net/PHP/SQL/HTML5/

I enjoy taking on new projects and helping to develop new ideas,

Once I've had a read through all the documentation Ill have a better idea on what's going on with the projects!

Look forward to being a helping hand!

133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: December 27, 2016, 05:02:39 AM
hi all ...

some changes were made - improvements done - and small setup issues corrected over the last 24hours ...

one of the major ones was the full setup of sso ( single sign on ) so full access to all the pools are available with the initial sign on / registration ...

if you registered in the mue pool ( or any of the cwi pools for that matter ) - you will need to log out and log back in again to reset the session ... if you see any changes that may have occured during these fixes and additions - please dont panic ...

you may be required to reset some of the setup you have originally done to mine - which may include payout address and worker info ...

this will now only need to be done once - as with sso fully active - your account 'should' be available ( including your workers ) on all the sso-active pools in the cwi system ...

apologies if this has caused any issues to anyone currently - but better to have these teething issues sorted now than later when the pools are in full production mode ...

much appreciated ...

Going to download this wallet and decompile it see whats "really" going on here. Not sure that it should be doing that..

which means? ...

why would you try and decompile / reverse engineer when the source if is in git? ...

unless of course that was a typo ... Smiley ...

#crysx

Was supposed to say compile.  Smiley

hehehe ...

thats what i thought Tongue ...

in fact - the 100% cpu usage while syncing ( or doing most transactions ) is actually slowing the system down so much so - that sync takes about 6times as long to do ...

the vps we have the pool on ( which has the mysql issue that can be looked at AFTER the sync finishes ) is on an aws instance - and those instances are VERY fast and usually sync VERY quick due to the aws internet pipe they have - as well as being VERY secure ... so far - the blockchain has taken over a week to sync due to the slow rate of performance of the vps - and that is due to the full cpu usage ...

the connection to the internet is VERY fast when the daemon is off and not syncing ... so this is all coming back to the daemon hogging the vps resources when its syncing / processing ...

would be nice to get to the bottom of this issue and get it fixed Smiley ...

maybe it is a good idea to start a new pool on the new system with the new custom cwi stratum ... that way we just get the official pool back up and running and back on track and worry about the current pool issues later ...

137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: December 27, 2016, 01:05:25 AM
hi all ...

we have setup a dash pool and need testers ...

not just for the pool - but also for the new custom stratum that was build specifically to handle ALL the pools in our system ...

its unique and very well built by the maestro in stratum and backend builds - and one of the best devs in his field in my humble opinion ...

the pool main address is - http://pool.chainworksindustries.com/ ... you will find dash in the list ... or go directly to the pool - http://pool.chainworksindustries.com/dash/ ...

this pool is part of the cwi pool system - and sso is implemented ... so we are testing the sso ( single sign on ) setup ... the sso is based on the setup for the granite pool - but once you setup here on the dash pool ( within the coming week ) all the pools will have your single setup ... this is why we need to test the pool before we pull any of these pools out of 'alpha' designation ... when out of 'alpha' and into 'beta' then full 'production' designations - the colours of the pools will change accordingly ...

currently - we are only using and setting one port ( 8004 ) for the mining to take place ... this new stratum starts low and quickly adapts to the hashrates that the miners push into it ... hence the reason only one port is used and not two or three for hidiff or lodiff stratums ... though it can be setup quite easily if the need does arise for such other ports to exist ...

so to mine when - please register ( it is an mpos pool ) - setup your 'workers' in the pool - place your miners parameters - and fire away ...

any help will be appreciated with debugging through this mining period - as we will have a full solid pool to mine from once the any bugs are squashed ...

as always if there are any issues - PLEASE let us know ... contact via direct pm | irc - #chainworksindustries | or skype - chrysophylax69 ...

138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✹✹✹ GOLDBLOCKS ✹✹✹ PORTABLE WEALTH ✹✹✹ on: December 27, 2016, 12:54:11 AM
GB has big blockchain until now it weights more then 800MB. It has vary narrow block time of 1 min, it has many many transactions lately, which you must admit are really fast, i don't want to say instant. POW is aggressively been attacked with 50GH of hash these days, there is enormous big POS, with huge weight, where wallet client has to calculate all that and to show correct info. But all that is in cycles, if you notice you will find that client uses more cpu power in 1 min periods, between those periods all is cool. Of course, percentage of used cpu depends of power of that cpu.
in my cpu which is i7 6 generation, it doesnt use more then 3%

hi all ...

the clean resync of the blockchain on the pool is almost done ...

its constantly at 100% cpu time and due to the blockchain being so big with thousands of transactions per block - its taking a hell of a long time to do ...

it close to the end now - and when it is finished we will look into the mysql issue that was part of the problem ... though if this cpu usage continues - it will make for a very slow experience for users of the pool - but mining will be fine even so ...

if community ( and dev ) consensus (and approval ) is such that we start a new pool on the new system with the new custom cwi stratum - then that can be done in a day - with sync taking as long as it takes ... but that will mean a new pool - a new database - a new setup ... but this new pool will be part of the new setup - which means sso ( single sign on ) will be implemented immediately into the new pool ...

otherwise - we will just maintain our course of action for the current pool - and fix what we can in it to get it running again ...

advice from the community and the dev would be appreciated ... as I will be back full time in the next day or so - and will make this course of action a priority to complete if it is agreed a new pool to be setup ...

the current pool will NOT lose coins - and when the database issue is repaired - coins will be able to be withdrawn ...

let me know ...

hope everyone had a happy Christmas ...

That volume... Looks like MUE is getting pummeled by fists of ur ignorance. Apparently quark based alts aint in demand anymore.
Ignorance like you not seeing that we are migrating to X11 with MasterNodes in the first few lines of the ANN Wink

As long as we stay on trex for now then I'm fine with both the price and volume, because those will both come very soon.

In case u get kicked outta trex, ure not fine then and will worry hard till u get tingling in ur head. I conclude the volume thats seen on trex right now is the metric of ur appreciation toward fundamental side. Masternodes? What year is it? I thought its 2016 though u probably live in 2014.

if a coin does something that works well like x11 + masternodes + governance and has been proven, why not use it and improve it?  are you aware of all the bitcoin code in all the altcoins?  it's there because it works.

we will be using masternodes for governance + in house forex + a gaming platform + a poloniex lending bot.  and more to come.

and what exactly makes you think MUE will get kicked out of trex?  they know what we've been working on.

go stick a quark in your ass  Cheesy

Bro... Masternodes generate a decent income to pay ur governess for taking care of ur shit. Having her around ur place makes ur family confident u wont smear bedwalls with ur shit but instead deliver that waste in a shitpan. I wanna see a bot. When will it come out? In 2021?

are you trolling, or are you really that ignorant?  here's is the poloniex lending bot :  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1684269

to use the full version, you have to have a 100,000 mue deposit on bittrex.

windows only? ...

where is the source so that a linux / osx compile can be made?

#crysx
It's a closed source commercial project developed by swtrse so no source will be made available (which would negate it's benefit to MUE as anyone could then use it to promote their own projects).

We may integrate it into a web based product (therefore cross platform) at some point in the future.

Cheers
