121  Economy / Goods / Re: Prevention is better than a cure. Please escrow. on: May 06, 2015, 10:11:15 PM
How can I provide escrow services to users here so that I can start gaining some trust? I want to break out of this noob reputation...not to mention I'd like to put my honest morality to some good use.  I have proof of honest sales made on eBay and reddit, but not much besides that :/

People generally only accept escrow services from trusted, well-established members of the community. Nobody would accept an escrow service from a newbie account because of the high amount of risk involved - the escrow might run away with the funds.

If you want to build your reputation here, you should be active and write constructive posts, and you should trade slowly as your rank increases. Eventually, you will have made enough honest sales that you will have built a strong trust profile and will have a good reputation, but this will take time and effort.
122  Economy / Services / Re: Hotel and/or Flight Service 40% off on: May 06, 2015, 05:08:35 PM
I'm very interested in this service, too. A couple close family members of mine are going on a two week vacation starting in about 7 days, and if your service is legit, they could get a better deal than what they're already getting. After looking at the booking details on Expedia, the total comes to over $2,000, or around about 8.5btc. I'm thinking that if you make the bookings and I send payment to the escrow, and I'll release the funds after a couple weeks, when they get back from their vacation.

There are doubts of illegal methods involved, so if I were to deal with you, I would want your personal information via PM so I can contact you if something went wrong. Will you be willing to offer 70% off again for the second customer? Because there is significant risk involved for me here...

Hi,

user is already suspended.

---
Best regards,
Localbitcoins

It's funny how they think they can get way with just changing the pictures, as if they think we can't find the source of the images.

Dear members,

We are disappointed by these allegations, we notified the authorities and we are determined to sue the member of this forum entitled "mistercoin". He brings these accusations from his delusions that are not proved.

Yes, that's why your localbitcoins account got suspended, because of how legit you are  Roll Eyes
The grammar in this sentence just screams scam.

Please notify me of the court date of you suing the OP, so I can bring some popcorn.

I urge everyone who reads this thread to leave some negative reputation to this account, as they are determined only on scamming.
124  Economy / Lending / Re: TAKING OVER COIN. NEED 2 BTC. WILL PAY BACK % OF YOUR CHOOSING DAILY. on: May 05, 2015, 02:50:30 PM
You wouldn't happen to be a benevolent Nigerian prince, would you? What you're asking is essentially the same premise as those scam emails, where the scammer claims to have large amounts of sum stuck in a bank account somewhere, wants you to pay for the fee of taking it out and then promises to send you a significant portion of that amount. IMO, what you're asking for is similar, you say you have a lot of bitcoins invested into this new coin, and are sure it will be a blast. You just require a not-so-small loan of 2btc and you promise to pay back a significant portion of the initial amount once it becomes successful. And to top it all of, you are offering zero collateral. Now tell me this doesn't have scam written all over it? If you are willing to use your account as collateral, perhaps you may be able to get 0.2-0.3 btcs in a loan, but your negative rep will make things harder.

By the way, you might be related to royalty...:

125  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of eBitInvest on LocalBitcoins and their own site on: May 05, 2015, 02:38:38 PM
100% Scam, you're right. And the fact they have another scam going wit the exact same layout is troubling. Can you link us to the locatbit profile so we can report it and leave negative feedback?

Hey sorry for the late reply. The post above this one has the right one. https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/EBITINVEST.COM/   what is surprising about this though, is that apparently LB has their identity verified 100%. Facebook, Passport, Phone number and email all checked. I can't imagine LB does much rigorous verification though as clearly these guys are scammers.

Perhaps the scammers really did ID themselves, which means it will be easy to catch them if the authorities ever get involved.
I've reported their profile as a scam and explained what you did in the first post. Hopefully localbit will take notice and get this scam shut down immediately.

I'll update with the response I get from their support team. By the way, someone should take a screenshot of their website in case they try to go back and fix their mistakes.
126  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Crypto Twitter account for sale! on: May 05, 2015, 02:26:30 PM
Posting on this thread because your other one is a duplicate.
You're asking for 1BTC for an account with 15k "legit" followers, but you're not willing to publish the handle publicly? Is it because you are afraid that we will audit your account and your fake followers will be found out? It’s easy to spot when a twitter account has fake followers, you don't even need to use an online service for it, though they do help. When people will see that a twitter account has paid for followers instead of earning them outright, it sends out a message that you're desperate, inauthentic and it kind of goes against the point of social media.

Until you publicly show us what we'll be buying, I'm pretty sure you won't get buyers from here.

Is that 50 pound code region-locked? Do you guarantee that it will work for international accounts? Might be interested in buying for a friend.
128  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] BITBINGO.IO - The Highest Fixed Rate Campaign, bi-weekly pay on: May 05, 2015, 07:10:39 AM
If we upgrade in the middle of the two week period, is it possible to be paid for the first week as one member group and then for the second group as the final usergroup?
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NSA is attempting to crack Bitcoin? on: May 05, 2015, 07:04:17 AM
This sounds like some conspiracy theory.

I mean, with regards to the threat of government seizures, yes, bitcoin is vulnerable, but so is gold. There is a certain confiscatory risk, like what happened in 1933-1934, where US govt. made it illegal to privately own gold and confiscated it, first by executive order, then by Congressional decree.
There are ways to buy bitcoin so that your identity is not traceable via the bitcoin blockchain, but I think NSA is more interested in being able to trace wallet-holders moreso than cracking the blockchain.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone who's going to hear about bitcoin has heard about it on: May 05, 2015, 06:53:25 AM
The next push won't be expanding into a new demographic. It will have to be on the strength of the technology itself.

I think the next big push should be on education. Some people where I'm at might have seen an article or heard the word "bitcoin", but they don't know what exactly it is and aren't aware of how to use it. It's not a topic that comes up in converrsation. I think there should be more awareness on what bitcoin it - and it's already happening, with more startups and exchanges being established and more people starting to mine.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forget the real application, the real value of Bitcoin is investment on: May 05, 2015, 06:52:41 AM
I thinkk Ripple has more real world applications than bitcoin. It's like taking the current financial system and bitcoin and weaving them together.
132  Economy / Economics / Re: The banks should be repealed on: May 05, 2015, 06:36:27 AM
I agree that banks should be removed from our economy, but if the power to print money is given to politicians, we're going to have the same problem. Instead, we should use a currency which cannot just be increased in supply at whim, like gold, or, in a modern world, something similar to bitcoin.
133  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling my account. on: May 05, 2015, 12:54:36 AM
Please refer to the sticky, it will tell you the details you should include in your auction posts:

What should you include in your auction?

  • Thread subject
A good thread subject mentions the item(s) being sold and the quantity clearly. Price and other information can also be included.
  • Description
Describe what you are selling in detail, so that buyers know exactly what they are bidding on. You can include images of the item, or proof of ownership (a signed message for example).
  • Starting bid
The lowest price you will sell the item for.
  • Buy it now
The price you will sell the item for immediately.
  • End date and time
When writing the end date and time, be sure to include the time zone.
  • Payment methods accepted
If you accept payment methods other than Bitcoin, mention them here. Beware of PayPal and other reversible transfer services!
  • Additional information
You can include information about payment, shipping costs, escrow, and auction rules here.

You can copy this code into your auction to get started right away:
[/list]
Code:
[b]Description:[/b]
[b]Starting bid:[/b]
[b]Buy it now:[/b]
[b]End date and time:[/b]
[b]Payment methods accepted:[/b]

134  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] Adobe Software on: May 04, 2015, 11:53:28 PM
You can get them off torrents for free, you don't have to pay someone to do it for you.

Thanks for your useless input  Roll Eyes. If I had a tracker for the software I would not be posting here but since I cant find a working cracked version Im hoping someone here can help.

Right, wasn't trying to be useless as I have friends with Macs who have torrented their versions of Photoshop and thought you could find a working one, too. I've sent you a PM with instructions how to get it, hope it works for you.
135  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Twitter bitcoin account with 676 bitcoin related follower on: May 04, 2015, 11:35:04 PM
You're asking almost $100 for an account with less than 700 followers, while other services are offering 4000 real followers for 10$? For 80$ others are offering 100,000 followers. I really think that you should reduce the price. I would personally bid ~0.01 for it, looking at its value.

Perhaps you can move this to the Auctions section to get better offers for your account.
Good luck with everything!
138  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Dragon Age Inquistion 10$ on: May 04, 2015, 10:43:04 PM
This website is called bitcointalk, so you should be accepting bitcoin, instead of PayPal only...
139  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Cheap: 4,000 Twitter followers for Bitcoin. on: May 04, 2015, 10:37:47 PM
Are you still offering this? Is the price negotiable? What will the interests of the followers be? (eg.g. bitcoin, cryptocurrency etc.)
140  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling a 3 Month Adobe Photoshop CC & Lightroom Promo Code on: May 04, 2015, 10:18:00 PM
