121  Economy / Securities / Re: I want to invest in asicminer on: May 01, 2013, 07:40:53 PM
I would suggest bitfunder very highly. No management fees

There is no real reason for you to own "actual" shares over pass-throughs.  I own both and feel very confident that there is minimum risk in owning pass through shares.  Buying a couple here and there and having them transfered out to friedcat has to be a huge headache for him.  I like that DeadTerra set up a high limit for that.
There is a slight advantage to getting dividends faster, but yeah.

Conversly, you can buy shares on the passthroughs after knowing what the dividend will be... Not that this is real advantage (maybe it is?   Huh

122  Economy / Securities / Re: [WTB] ASICMINER share call options on: May 01, 2013, 07:29:30 PM
I would suggest just setting this up through the pass-throughs.  They both handle option trading.

Why did the BitChicken cross the road?
125  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDices success reason. on: May 01, 2013, 04:29:11 PM
The blockchain.info form.  Without that no way do they make anywhere close to as much.
126  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] [Bitfunder] TAT.ASICMINER New Micro-share Passthrough! on: May 01, 2013, 04:27:38 PM
Great idea, how many shares are available at the IPO?
127  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: how much BTC can I get per day IF I buy BFL 50 GH/s Bitcoin Miner - $2,499 BitFo on: May 01, 2013, 04:18:00 PM
You will never see the miner while it is still profitable.  BFL is a terrible company.
128  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC][ASICMINER-100PT] - Public trading of 1% Interest in ASICMINER shares on: May 01, 2013, 04:12:59 PM
I might be interested if there was someone else running this.  I am also not a fan of management fees, hence why I stick to DeadTerra's BitFunder passthrough
129  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 01, 2013, 03:12:39 PM
Please let me rest for several hours before I dare to do anything important.
The dividends and some news will be out then.

Better to get it right  Smiley.  Get some much deserved rest, thanks for the update.
130  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pumping and Dumping question on: April 30, 2013, 06:47:36 PM
Pump will make the price rise, dump will make it fall. I believe. Smiley
See it as a supply and demand thing. If you dump you will increase supply thus lowering price.

Thats right, pumping and dumping takes a lot of resources however to really move the price on gox.  The idea is to knock out peoples limit orders to buy or sell and profit on the manipulation caused.

Do your research first.  There are alot of scam websites that will indeed steal your info.

We are close to announcing a new release of the site that will include a wide range of game play and player experience improvements.

We recieve over whelming inquiries about not being able to play the game due to high traffic, we will also be addressing this.

Look for an update soon in regards to changes to this site!
133  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: April 30, 2013, 06:30:19 AM
So ASICMINER don't have secondary pool in case 1st pool went offline Huh. Isn't that like.... easy to setup or something?
We are switching to solo mode since we could not find enough pools having stable connection from China to distribute the hashpower.

The solo solution is being tested/done along with the deployment. The only problem is transparency. We plan to do it with writing information to the coinbase transaction to let everyone check.

You should consider p2pool instead of solo. Your traffic stays local like solo, but your variance is decreased like it would be on a pool.

+1, and increase the income by using this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=62842.0

Not suggesting we actually invest in alt-coins (Although it wouldn't be a bad idea), Just suggesting collecting them and selling them daily on vircurex or something.

So we merge mine with these asics for alt currencies and then dump them on exchanges? Do you realize how fast the value will fall for these alt currencies doing this? It will quickly become worthless.  I cant imagine this is the direction ASICminer will go.

Estimated increase in divs (not including the hashrate increase) is 0.00507625 BTC per share.  Grin

Well, technically the INCREASE in divs is 0.00322625  Cheesy

(2042.5-752)/400000 = 0.00322625
sorry for dumb question but what is the 752?

He said it right under the equation:

(2042.5-752)/400000 = 0.00322625
because the income of the auction last week has then to be substracted from this week's auction.

139  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: April 26, 2013, 03:01:54 PM
Why would anyone want to purchase a product from a company where their employees (Josh aka Inaba) is spending his whole time sitting on a forum defending himself and calling everyone an idiot and trying to be witty insulting everyone that challenges his.

Its rediculous how unprofessional he is. I can honestly say I have never seen anything like it.

I would stay as far away from BFL as possible if I had any advice for newbies.  Look at who they let represent their company and brand.
