121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a stablecoin? on: September 27, 2018, 07:53:00 PM
Tether and DAI are getting some competition. This time it's GUSD stablecoin by Gemeni (aka Gemini Dollar):

https://coincodex.com/article/2328/gemini-launches-gusd-stablecoin/

Hello everybody! More positive big news "today Circle https://www.circle.com and the CENTRE open source consortium introduced a service to tokenize US dollars and use those dollars over public blockchains on the internet: USD//Coin, also known as USDC. Individuals and institutions can enroll in this service to deposit US dollars from bank accounts, convert those dollars into tokens usable everywhere the internet reaches (subject to the token’s compliance controls), and redeem USDC tokens and cash out to bank accounts." 123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] carVertical - Car History Registry Built on Blockchain technology on: September 26, 2018, 10:09:05 PM
This project is definitively not dead, you can see the roadmap :

I personally really like carVertical! I bought $CV token and HoDL for a long LONG time as this has such a need and bright future ahead as adoption happens.  Patience is key but once this gets a foothold into the sector it will be such a great tool! Now very difficult times for all crypto I believe that soon everything can change in a good way for us!
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we Need Central Banks? on: September 26, 2018, 08:24:39 PM
Hello crypto-fans Bankers are shifting their views on blockchain integration and benefits by being open to implementing DLTs across platforms to ensure they remain competitive.
"Banks seem smitten by blockchain. Seems everyone is getting into the act. Traditional banks, especially, and central banks, too. But might the more enthusiastic adopters be getting a bit ahead of themselves?" Read more:  https://www.pymnts.com/news/b2b-payments/2018/blockchain-distributed-ledger-international-regulations
P.S. The owners of banks are attracted by the transparency of operations, which all participants can follow. Another possibility is the identification of clients (KYC) and protection from hacker attacks!

126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CyberTrust - BRINGING INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS IN CRYPTOMARKET on: September 25, 2018, 07:45:52 PM
Any news on the future of the project? There have been no updates for a long time. Project still alive?

Hey YuryK! News is not very good...  Undecided "CyberTrust Refund Announcement"
 - Dear CyberTrust Supporters & Pre-ICO Participants: As you are aware, CyberTrust is in the process of launching Global Crypto Notes permitting the securitization of the major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum.
 - Processing these notes requires the cooperation of multiple entities, some of which, as it turns out, feel that tokens emitted online in an ICO-type format are an obstacle to the securitisation process....

131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold?? on: September 23, 2018, 02:42:50 AM
After reading a lot of posts made by people on this forum, I realized about 75% of them see Bitcoin as a digital Gold. For me, I don't think Bitcoin is a digital gold. Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin to be precise, was developed to be a safer option for transaction of goods and services and also the best mode of payment. Bitcoin was introduced to disable all the restrictions that banks and the financial system presented. A lot of people have lost huge sums of money because they saw bitcoin as a digital gold. I know others will argue that bitcoin has also made people rich but for me, I don't think it is advisable to consider Bitcoin as a digital gold. Bitcoin is a digital currency.

Hey Vickyrichy, "Billionaire investor Mike Novogratz says once Bitcoin surpasses $8,800 to $10,000, institutions will enter the space. It is impossible for Bitcoin to not reach $8.8 ~ $10k by the end of this year."  Look great video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=6lC1anDg2KU
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple will be great again on: September 22, 2018, 10:51:57 AM
On the macro side, there are a number of positive developments that have helped push the popularity of the cryptocurrency up.  Ripple has been working on a deal with the Bank of America, the latest institution to jump into the cryptocurrency market.

Ripple has a number of bank partnerships, including Santander and Master Card that have elevated the cryptocurrency in the minds of retail investors...

Ripple (XRP.X) price prediction: what to expect?

I believe Ripple will bull again!!!

XRP skyrocketing by 80%+ in one day is the reason why this market desperately needs regulation. Fundamentally nothing about XRP changed in the past 24 hours and yet, here we are. Pumping a multi billion market cap asset in the matter of hours is the definition of manipulation Wink
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: September 22, 2018, 02:43:07 AM

Hey trademark, great news on Stratis! I love Stratis... There is no hype on Stratis at all, "Stratis will go to 100$. till end of 2019." I know that 2019 did not finish, but most of this "crypto-analysts" were saying similar about it or any other project including BTC or Ethereum. To the moon  Smiley.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How far bitcoin can progress in the financial world without legal acceptance on: September 21, 2018, 10:49:18 PM
We all know at the moment bitcoin is not a legal currency in the world and it has many political barriers but still it continues to grow for years among general public and the business world so my concern is how far it can go or how far governments and other significant organizations will allow bitcoin to continue its journey without being accepted as a legit currency?

You can State what do you think because your bitcoin investment depends on that

136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NEO become strong? on: September 21, 2018, 10:04:16 PM
As a background, NEO is a blockchain platform and cryptocurrency supporting a scalable network of decentralized applications. It bears resemblance to Ethereum at its core but has its own unique features.  Unlike Ethereum, it integrates other cryptocurrencies into its network, which gives it the potential to become a global digital system in today's smart economy.

NEO touts its accessibility as one of the key platform features because common programming languages are accepted on its platform.

How do you think about NEO?

137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: September 21, 2018, 09:38:58 PM
Hello Dear $XLM community!  Important news!!! StellarTerm is shutting down on October 1 2018.  https://stellarterm.com

Development of StellarTerm is unable to keep up with the latest developments of the Stellar network and can't provide the best experience that users all deserve. Unfortunately, due to lack of funding and dev time, StellarTerm will be shutting down.

On October 1 2018, the web app and StellarTerm API will no longer be available. For alternatives, consider checking out Stronghold, stellarx, or the other wallets listed on https://www.stellar.org/lumens/wallets  StellarTerm is not affiliated with these services. It is important to have time to withdraw $XLM to another wallet!

138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Current cryptocurrency market situation on: September 21, 2018, 09:22:12 PM
What is your opinion on the current market situation?  2018 has not been our year. It's been quite rough for cryptocurrency prices, with the most recent slump being from June 10, the market continues to fluctuate and change. But things seem to be looking up and bitcoin has reached its peak this summer, topping $8,000.
