121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: A Planet-to-Planet Electronic Cash System on: December 14, 2019, 10:06:25 AM

The best thing about bitcoin is no one control it and everyone does.  This makes it a perfect value to trade between planets. Extra-terrestrial bodies are rich in untapped minerals and ores and they'd have a good trade for human things from earth.
But for that we'd need internet in the Mars and be available to every human settlements.
Bitcoin could even be the official currency of the mars.
I wonder if there has been contact with aliens?Maybe they're hiding something from us.Just another explanation why they sent the Bitcoin node to space is not clear to me.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best ways of bringing Bitcoin to non-crypto users on: December 14, 2019, 09:36:05 AM
Adoption and advertisement are the principle keys on having more non crypto users (people) involved onto this cryptocurrency world.
Teaching them by offering some small sample on how to use it for something they mostly prefer and it's difficult to find will give meaning to them for introducing themselves into it.

If you think about something that for instance is at "dark web" like medicine which could fix some of your health problems for cheaper price it will make them wanting to use such technology Wink
In any case, advertising is the engine of trade. So the best way is probably not to find.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypt is now legal in Ukraine on: December 14, 2019, 07:53:12 AM
So, guys, I think it's a small but a win. A win of our crypto community! I hope there will be more such examples of accepting crypto in 2020. We will start with small countries and then go to global powers. What do you think?

There's the news https://bitcoinist.com/crypto-payments-now-legal-in-ukraine/
Let's just say Ukraine is not quite a small country.Laws on the legalization of cryptocurrencies are indeed adopted, but how they will work is actually difficult to imagine. Not the fact that this will somehow positively affect the market.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Speculation will drive the btc ride further as always on: December 13, 2019, 09:42:40 PM
Speculations will go on as long as Bitcoin exists since the market is so volatile, a lot of people will make a bet and continuously predict the price of Bitcoin in the future but I agree with what OP said that speculations may somehow attract other people to invest in Bitcoin because of FOMO.
Recently, I have observed a positive trend regarding bitcoin. Many influential people at the seminars recommend that investors spend up to 20% of their assets to buy bitcoin. And many do follow these tips.So it is difficult for me to predict what the price will be in the future, but the fact that many people already see a potential benefit in bitcoin is already good.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to gift Bitcoin this Christmas (+cool Bitcoin gift ideas) on: December 13, 2019, 09:32:37 PM
I used the black friday deal that Ledger had to buy a few sets of their Nano hardware wallets as gift to those who already own crypto, but are too much of a cheapskate to buy a harware wallet themselves. This way they can stop leaving their funds on an exchange and thank me later when they aren't victim of a hack or a rogue exchange not allowing them to withdraw.

Gifting Bitcoin to those who aren't into crypto but know that the price tanked hard isn't a good idea. I did it once myself and had to explain constantly why the price kept going down while Bitcoin according to me was so revolutionary. Not doing that again. Common joes are hard to deal with, mainly when they think they know how things work better than anyone else.
Yes, but it's a very original gift.If I give bitcoin to someone for a holiday, I will offer one condition - to open this wallet in 10 years.I am sure that then they will remember me and thank me for the gift.

Cheesy

Is KYC is benefit to crypto people or not. what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing KYC.

Only companies that value their reputation have advantages. For ordinary users - it's a headache)
130  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase Holds a Whopping 966,230 Bitcoin ($7B) in Cold Wallet on: December 07, 2019, 10:55:47 PM
The whole point of decentralised cryptocurrency is that there isn't a single point of failure that can wreck the whole project. By centralising coins in an exchange like Coinbase, you bring the single point of failure back into play. Maybe we can trust coinbase, but what if we can't?

At some point, it becomes a political threat. They already control 5% of the BTC supply. Let's imagine a hypothetical future where they control 25% of the supply and then get hacked for everything. Since their custodial holdings represents such a huge portion of BTC investors, there will be huge financial and political incentives to destroy Bitcoin's immutability and roll back the chain.

Sadly, markets usually become more consolidated over time, not less.
That's why you should be afraid of the concentration of bitcoin in one hand.Consolidation of a large number of bitcoins in one hand can lead to the collapse of the market literally in 1 night.
131  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Vs Cryptocurrency, which would you choose? on: December 07, 2019, 10:49:03 PM
I have recently been quite curious about the many debates about which currency is better.
Many people say that they will choose Crypto because it is convenient and creates a common currency, bringing equality to all countries.
And some people choose Fiat money because they've been used to using it for decades and now they have credit cards and wallet payment apps online, so why do you need crypto?
Which side do you think is right? I want to hear from you sincerely.
You're talking about the exact opposite.Crypto-currencies are an absolutely new kind of value. It is impossible to say that it is better to have a fiat or crypto because they are in different planes.Worse crypto or better, but the most important thing is that without crypto it is simply not possible to do just as well as without the fiat money.

133  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: PRIZM (PZM) - обсуждение спорной криптовалюты on: December 07, 2019, 10:36:22 PM

134  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of banking industry in blockchain on: December 07, 2019, 10:24:03 PM
Hey.
Yesterday I read an article about banks that began to use blockchain and there was pretty impressive list.
They're also described successful cases of using blockchain in banks (if you're interested - here's the article), so I may assume that using blockchain in bank's system is only a matter of time (and money, of course).

Now, the question: why it takes THAT long the smaller banks to go the same way and start using the blockchain?
Because no one will share their innovations for free. Now huge banks are investing in the development of new technologies.Invite people to work and also free training.Small banks just can't afford it.
135  Economy / Economics / Re: Future without Middle men big way, but big Question? on: December 07, 2019, 10:20:38 PM
Do you think  life without middle men Will be better?

The very word,, mediator,, does not command respect. To me, a middleman is a speculator. So of course without them it will be better!
136  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: December 07, 2019, 10:14:23 PM
Finally, don’t get a job, because jobless is not a fake news, govt keep spreading fake hope that we have 0.000001% jobless rate, while many under employed staff wandering around the streets.
What, then, to do?To go to beg?Your conclusions are not entirely correct. There is, by the way, a different kind of work. Both physical and requiring a mind. There is also remote work. Where you can work for yourself.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi should be in Time's influnetial person of the decade list on: December 06, 2019, 11:13:17 PM
If you have the time and the willingness to start a petition go, It would definitely help other people notice what crypto is especially if it is focused on bitcoin.

Try to contact the time magazine if they are willing to accept some recommendations first so that we can also make our support to your plan petition.
Yes, but the problem is that no one knows who Satoshi is. Is it 1 person or a group of people? If the creator of Bitcoin was not hiding, then it would be safe to file a petition, otherwise her simply will not be accepted.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It’s a curiosity to know on: December 06, 2019, 11:05:32 PM
In any case, this is a very good trend. This means that the market is really gaining popularity around the world. If in General we would have statistics on all cryptocurrency exchanges, the progress is just obvious.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking vs. mining altcoins on: December 06, 2019, 10:59:52 PM
I’m turning my eyes towards staking alts, since the market is struggling to pick itself up for the last 2 years and (probably) the only profitable thing in 2019 was mining. Let’s discuss solid projects with decent returns here. Appreciate any insights and info!

It seems to me that mining in 2019 has not become profitable at all.Soon there will be an opportunity to put Ethereum in the steak.I think the income from this will be much more than from mining.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why every IEO on P2PB2B exchange? on: December 06, 2019, 10:57:13 PM
have you check other exchanges to see how they handle IEOs. exchanges like Latoken and vindax. these has conducted so many IEO and many has failed. yet they are still conducting more. projects having IEOs on such exchanges are liable to disappear after few months or years. they have no viable roadmap and product.
I do not know who manages to give their money on such exchanges.Me at all seems that these exchanges created only only to launder money.
