Sounds horrible. Why did you put up with those guys for so long?

I only worked for a week.

I remember he was begging for money a few months back which if I remember correctly, is against the forum rules.
124  Other / Meta / Re: Ban GameProtect? on: February 14, 2019, 01:26:43 AM
I'm assuming you mean game-protect. How many times did you report their posts and how many of those reports are "good"?
To be honest I never personally reported his post when he was trolling me about being a welfare recipient because he already had a negative trust rating. I've looked at his other posts and it appears others may have done so. Might make my own report now.
125  Other / Meta / Ban GameProtect? on: February 14, 2019, 01:13:26 AM
He's a scammer and troll. Believes having a total of $500 in your checking account makes you wealthy. Spreads misinformation and makes false accusations. I know there's a policy for not banning scammers but he is a troll.

Thoughts?

Wow, this is deep bro. I am sorry for you, I confess that purchase a lot in amazon but I did not know that workers were treated that way I thought that almost in Amazon was automatic with robots and stuff.

Some warehouses have robots but mine didn't.

128  Economy / Services / ULTRA LOW-COST WEB DEVELOPMENT/ SERVICES - STARTING AT $30) FOR SMALL PROJECT on: February 13, 2019, 11:08:09 PM
I am a hobbyist/student website developer who has since 2016 built projects> I am looking for both independent projects as well as work as an assistant to senior web developers. If you look through my previous posts for. my earlier work with Cryptoflip, there were a lot of bugs in my code. I can explain this because I had no money and so I asked my partner to test the deposit/withdraw system with his bitcoin. Hh didn't, he just rushed to production because he was convinced the site would make him a millionaire. I  certainly hoped so, but back then I was still learning.

Since then, I have learned about Unit testing, which is cool because I can "zoom in" to certain aspects of the site and test everything thoroughly. Being able to write tests with PHPUnit, which I never did with Cryptoflip, has really been able to help me keep bugs out of my code. Sites get tested thoroughly with unit testing.

$ can do a small project (anything taking me a couple of days) for $USD. Medium sized projects (8 hours of my time a day for 30 days) $75. Large projects $100.

I have a solid understanding of the following technologies./

HTML5
JavaScript (Including Node.Js, Vue.JS, and Express)
CSS (Bootstrap and raw CSS)
PHP (Solid understanding of OOP and over 3 years experience with Laravel framework)
MySL and SQLite
Worked on setting up Laravel sites on any VPS.
Git

Take a look at some of my designs as well.

PM me for rates and if you want I can load up the cryptoflip site and show you what I have done with it since 2017 over skype

BE WARY OF NEWCOMERS OFFERING PROGRAMMING SERVICES WITH NO CV OR AT THE VERY LEAST, AN OFFER TO SHOW YOU THEIR WORK VIA SKYPE SCREEN SHARING.

I've been reading a lot of posts from my competitors who claim to have a deep understanding of web development and have nothing to show for. their inflated prices are an exception of their ego, They are scammers and should be avoided. However, some programmers are nice and I regonize building bridges is better than starting flame wars. Have no time? I got waaaay to much free time on my hands.

I do not have any layouts where I don't use Bootstrap. I  am taking a video course on how to design layouts without it.

132  Other / Off-topic / BOYCOTT AMAZON - my experience working in a fulfillment centre on: November 14, 2018, 01:23:46 AM
It all started about six months ago. I applied for a job at Amazon after seeing an ad posted at the labour office in my city. I go to the hiring fair and fill out an online application. There are a lot of questions repeatedly asking "Are you going to steal from us?"

the fact of the matter is they accept anyone who doesn't say"I am going to teal from your warehouse". They then took our picture and sent us on the way.

A few days later, I get an email from Amazon telling me I got hired. Great. Now they want to schedule an interview with me. One problem: I already was interviewed!

I get another email telling me to book an appointment (which I already have done). So I call HR and they book another appointment with me.

I pass my background check and begin my first day. The orientation boring. They basically say they will sue you if you tell anybody their trade secrets. All employees go through a metal detector, checking to see if the employee is stealing anything from the warehouse. The pay and benefits are good, but it still isn't worth it.

On my first day, I was assigned to packing. I have minor cerebral palsy so I have poor dexterity. They pull me aside and ask me to get a request for medical information from my doctor. I had to wait six months for them to come back with a decision.

So last week they called me back. My badge when clocking in didn't work because I was on a leave of absence, uh, okay.HR says they will manually enter my punch, but those guys aren't really prompt and I had to ask them a few times.

A week goes by and my legs and feet are KILLING me from all this walking around. I was always pressured to work faster without making too many mistakes. IF I didn't stow an item without 10 minutes of stand up too often you get fired. IF you're too slow you get fired. IF you stow something incorrectly you get fired. If you miss your subway to work and you have to wait for the next train too often you're fired. In addition, there's something called Mandatory Extra ZTime requiring you to work overtime during peak periods. And to top it all off, you have to work 10 hours a day

So as I was pressured to works faster and more efficiently, I thought to myself "fuck this. They pay isn't bad but it feels like a sweatshop.

After attempting to stow an item in a bin I get an error message telling me the bins full. This happened for longer than10 minutes and I may have gotten a warning. I don't know, but I sure as hell not going to even bother pleasing the asshole bosses who treat us like robots. I put my scanner away, Tell HR I quit. This is way too much, handed in my badge and left.

And since they fucked up my LoA status, I am not sure I'm going to get paid.

If you shop at Amazon, (which I know a lot of people here do), consider the fact their employees are being exploited. If you believe in fair labour practices, shop elsewhere.
133  Economy / Services / Cheao Web design (samples included) on: November 14, 2018, 12:43:00 AM
I am currently available to make website designs. I have experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Node.Js MySQL, and several frameworks, including Laravel, Vue.Js, a little bit of ReactJS, Express and Bootstrap. I ask for $50 per design. Price may vary depending on the size of the project.
My previous projects require a VPS to run, soIdon'thave that setup. However, here are some screenshots of websites I have designed.

Hmm, no framework experience? I don't think you're qualified to even offer coding services. Most professionals can offer at least one PHP framework.
