I can also say that i have used these devices as well - my favorites are the seed signer then the passport - Jade I did like but I recently heard that Blockstream may have had a huge customer data breach.
I have built numerous seedsigners as well - great devices.

Is the data entered stored on a server or locally?
I like the idea of a collectible tracking software or app that doesn't need your own excel-sheet. Just not a fan of storing data somewhere out there so that's why I'm asking.

If you guys really want to up your security to the next level there are much better options than Trezor that are also FOSS:
Foundation Devices Passport
Blockstream Jade
SeedSigner
Even Coldcard is better, even though their codebase is "source verifiable" which is technically not FOSS.
Trezor is super solid don't get me wrong. I love them and still recommend that hardware wallet to newbies that are taking self-custody for the first time, but if you have been in Bitcoin for awhile, the next level is a must IMO.
Having a device that never touches the internet and generates your private key completely offline is just another layer of security that I wouldn't pass up.
Cool devices you mentioned, do you have any experience with any of them? Blockstream Jade seems like great value for the buck. - However it has a built-in camera and bluetooth which I am not sure if it isn't a security concern. @krogothmanhattan Do you already have the Tresor 3 in hand? What's your experience in comparison to Model 1? |

Bin ja selbst recht bullish, aber es gab noch nie einen so großen Fokus auf die Halving-Cycle Preisdynamik wie dieses mal, weshalb ich gespannt bin ob es wirklich so glatt läuft wie in den letzten Runden.
Ich finde, dass das Halving 2020 deutlich mehr im Fokus stand als das jetzt bevorstehende. Das hat glaube ich immer damit zu tun, in welchen Kreisen man unterwegs ist. Das Halving wird zwar immer mal wieder genannt aber der wirkliche Fokus liegt mMn total auf die Zulassung der Bitcoin ETFs. Die Erwartungen einfach ganz runter schrauben - dann wird man auch nicht enttäuscht.  Ich bin über jeden sat froh, den ich zu den aktuellen Preisen akkumulieren kann. Das ist ein sehr guter Punkt, wirklich meist sehr subjektiv die Wahrnehmung. Habe es die letzten Monate öfters mitbekommen, dass im entfernteren Freundeskreis (bei Hochzeiten und anderen random Zusammenkünften) irgendwelche Crypto-Newbs tatsächlich vom "nächsten Mega-Bullrun nach dem Halving 2024" geredet haben. Vielleicht war das nur Zufall. - Mir kam es so vor, als ob das fast schon in der Mitte der Gesellschaft angekommen ist. Wow nice, mit 0.1175 sollten wir auch wieder ne Zeitlang laufen können. |

Ich schicke dann nachher auch meine coins los, dann kann es am Freitag oder Samstag losgehen.
Genau das dachte ich mir gestern abend auch schon: richtig was los hier, dann kanns ja bald starten.... Idealerweise finden wir schon vor dem halving einen Block, die wertvolle BTC können wir ja dann trotzdem aufheben bis der kurs bei 120k steht...  $120k Bitcoin. Any info/pics on the 10 BTC chip? Can't say I have ever heard of it before?  Holding back on bidding for lot 1, so some others have a chance to grab this rare chip. Just saying all these old Bluebits BTC chips are really hard to come by, most were sold to random crypto folks at conferences (afaik) and god knows if these people ever find their way into the forum. There were only 49 of the yellow 0.001 chip ever made to begin with. Crazy rare pieces... I'ma give it a shot, but looking at some celebrity collectors that already joined the auction let's see how this goes. to help with explaining the differences in the coins mintage.
There were 1000 coins made. 974 with a silver hologram, 15 with a gold hologram all numbered 0000 with letters above QR code, of the 974 there were 11 with errors, those 11 were then used to create 8 with gold holograms with the numbers #1-4 and 97-100 and were accompanied with the book above. The 3 remaining were not used.
Ah, thanks for the explanation. So regarding these gold holo coins, all were sold with the book - where did these sales happen? 8 accompanied books and are numbered as specified above. 1 of which is in this auction. The 15 with gold holos and numbered '0000' - I cannot answer where all of those went, I only know where 1 of them is. Okay thanks. Will be interesting to see if any others ever pop up on the forum. Sorry for slightly OP, but I have to jump on the Ledger-bashing-train.
I had a bunch of negeative experiences over the last almost decade now with their devices.
Right now I can only say I hate Ledger and here is why:
- discontinued hardware support for older devices (buy the new one - money grab company)
- data leak exposing all customer data including phone numbers, full name, address etc. From a company supposed to provide crypto security. UGH
- horrible experience with their ledger nano app: balances were displayed as missing or completely wrong (I was a multimillionaire on paper for a few minutes, too, lol). - Only fully resetting with the passphrase worked - how tf is that a secure device?
- They have their "back-up" backdoor upgrade which is highly debateable and mostly frowned upon by any security experts in the crypto space.
That said I have had a good time with the Trezor line and looking forward to try the new Version 3.
I have a %-OFF voucher, not sure if it only works for one device or if I can buy several. If anyone is interested in a Trezor 3 for quite a few % off, send me PM I will try tomorrow if it works for more than one item.

Bezüglich Speed bleib ich erstmal bei 20 PH, finde es netter wenn es etwas länger läuft. Ist mir aber fast egal, sollte es 50:50 stehen ändere ich auf 25, Abwechslung darf auch sein.
