1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whales questions? on: November 28, 2017, 11:31:42 PM
Ok anyone over 1000 bitcoins is a whale yeah.

Makes them a multi millionaire I see.

Curious to know how many people own more than 1000 BTC each?

Those multi millionaires why are they not cashing at $10000 and become multi millionaires now? What are they waiting for  Huh

They want to earn even more money, will you sell now knowing the price may hit 25k or 30k in the near future, they may sell a part of their stash and enjoy the great life but they keep most of their coins that way you get to enjoy your riches and you have the possibility to earn even more if bitcoin keeps growing.
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good Altcoin for longterm investment on: November 28, 2017, 11:21:18 PM
there is nothing i am afraid.
only thing that you can trust for long term investment is bitcoin. all the other altcoins will go down in the long term and only it is in short term that they get pump and dumped and can give you any profit.
and always try to do your own analysis instead of asking others to tell you what to invest in.

there was one altcoin called DMD (Diamond) that i think had a pretty good stable price and if i am not mistaken it was a POS system. you might want to check that out because i don't have many details on it.
Correct, besides bitcoin there is only a handful of coins that are worth holding for the long term, Ethereum and litecoin are some of the coins to hold for the long term, every other altcoin can be held for some time but you must always be ready to get rid of it if it begins to dump.
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airbnb with blockchain? on: November 28, 2017, 10:54:28 PM
That looks promising, will subscribe.
AirBNB in Ukraine turned into a kind of lottery: outdated or fake appartment's photos, realtors instead of real owners, price changes. Lot of reviews is the only chance to get what you want.
If AirBNB cannot get it right then it is unlikely that some other service is going to do it any better unless they are a local service that competes against AirBNB since they can take the time to look at the properties and tell if the owners are telling the truth or not.
1204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 World Cup qualifications, UEFA zone, discussion and information thread on: November 28, 2017, 10:48:37 PM
Fifa World Ranking (updated 23 november):

1)Germany      1602   =
2)Brazil            1483   =
3)Portugal        1358   =
4)Argentina      1348  =
5)Belgium        1325   =
6)Spain             1231  +2
7)Poland           1209   -1
8 Switzerland   1190  +3
9)France            1183   -2
10)Chile            1162   -1
11)Perù             1128   -1
12)Denmark     1099   +7
13)Colombia    1078    =
14)Italy            1052   +1
15)England      1047    -3
16)Mexico        1032    =
17)Croatia        1018   +1
18 Sweden          998  +7
19)Galles            985  -5
20)Netherlands  952    +0

in this top 20 there are even 4 teams that will not participate in the next wolrd cup: Chile, Italy, Wales, Netherlands

Whyhas Italy been awarded one pint even though they are not participating in the World Cup and they haven't won any of their last two games which was played in less than a forthnight ago, with the exception of that, I am okay with the top twenty standings as it is.
Don't look too much into the FIFA rankings, it has always been a joke, most of the time people do not agree with the rankings since they use a formula created by mathematicians that do not know a lot about soccer, most of the time the only ones that are correct are the top 5 teams and even sometimes there are disagreements in those spots as well.
1205  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: November 24, 2017, 11:48:54 PM
Everything that is money-related can lead to corruption. But it's your choice to corrupt it or not. Always remember one thing, if you take something that isn't supposed to be yours, then it's not going to do any good for you. Might cost you something as well (I believe in karma). It's true that corruption can makes us rich easier, and faster.. But well, I think getting something from our own sweat is wayyyy better.
Bitcoin is not going to increase the level of corruption around the world, those that are corrupt are going to use any form of money in order to benefit themselves, the only issue is that bitcoin may help them get away with their crimes in a more easier way since the money they get through corruption cannot be confiscated or linked that easily to them.
1206  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin=easy money on: November 24, 2017, 11:40:57 PM
Bitcoin was easy money for everyone few years ago when the price was very low compared to today. Nowadays if you still want to make good money with it you already need to have a lot of money for either purchasing it for $8000 or buy expensive mining equipment and pay a lot for electricity because the difficulty level is very high. Based on these circumstances it could be unlike easier to make money with selected altcoins that you can mine very cheap by yourself or buy them for cheap.
Bitcoin was easy money a few years back, now earning a full bitcoin is not easy at all, in many third world countries people do not earn enough in a year to afford a bitcoin and soon enough not even the average salary in a developed country is going to be enough either to buy a bitcoin.
1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A new era of bitcoin forks will propel BTC to 100,000 on: November 24, 2017, 11:32:44 PM
BTC never go over 15k
This is what i think. 100k...  never!
People have been saying that bitcoin cannot reach a particular price since the beginning and bitcoin has been proving them wrong, 15k is not that far away, 100k is far away but bitcoin is going to eventually reach that price in the future, there is no way to stop bitcoin and most people in the forum know that.
1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: November 24, 2017, 11:26:36 PM
i'm a newbe but i defenetely think it is not safe - not with all that scam and wallet vulnerabilities
Also there are many scammers around, even if you participate in an ico that is successful now you need to worry about not losing your coins to scammers, I have invested in some projects and the more active the project and the better prospects there are the more scammers appear and try to steal your coins.

It's really annoying. At this point you have to take enough security measures to secure your funds.
This is especially a problem in telegram, I swear that I receive about 5 times more direct messages from scammers than from real users, obviously I never click on anything anyone sends me but still it can be very annoying to be on your guard all the time so you do not lose your coins.
1209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think bitcoin be bullish in 2018? on: November 23, 2017, 06:24:46 PM
I think that 2018 will be another year of growth. More people and major companies will adopt the technology. Critics will eventually be outnumbered.
No need to be a rocket scientist to understand that Bitcoin's demand is only increasing, especially now the average person is more and more interested in investing in Bitcoin.

And what exactly do you mean with companies adopting the technology? That they will adopt the blockchain? If so, that might be the case, but that would likely be their own blockchain and not Bitcoin's blockchain.

It will not have any impact on Bitcoin's market at all, so if you were hoping for that to happen, then you'll end up in a big disappointment ~ it's not for nothing that they invest millions into research and development.
Correct investment in the blockchain is useless unless is in the bitcoin blockchain, we need to make that distinction because it is not uncommon to see people in the forum claiming that bitcoin is getting more accepted and they publish a news about a private company developing their own blockchain.
1210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Soo Soon ? BCH - BTC on: November 23, 2017, 06:20:32 PM
you are taking a big risk. what if the bitcoin fell again. what happen to BCH is a wakeup call to investors that some big investor are manipulating the market by trying to make BCH rise and probably dethrone BTC but some exchangers doesnt want such huge withdrawal is it can have a effect on crypto market. for me its good to hold your coin now and wait till all this shit is over. i dont think its economical to take such risk at the point when the market is really unstable
People panic that is all, they see the huge movement that bitcoin cash had and then they begin to have useless worries about what will happen if BCH becomes the number one coin but that is not going to happen since bitcoin is a lot more resistant than people think.
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If bitcoin can be used in gambling. Is it possible to use it casino? on: November 23, 2017, 06:18:18 PM
Bitcoin have been adopted in most online gambling sites. Online casinos accept not only Bitcoins but other Cryptocurrencies too.
But I don't think there are real world casinos that are accepting bitcoins at the moment.
You are right the online gambling is the biggest fun for the new generation and they are trying to earn the bitcoin a the high level mean if you are going to gamble with the bitcoin you should be aware of the bitcoin status and the value because now not all the people are aware of the bitcoin and they take the gambling very light so I hope this is the time to make the bitcoin earning easy just by the investment.
The problem with gambling with bitcoin is that is always goes up, can you imagine the amount of bitcoin people have lost when bitcoin was only 10 dollars or something, if that person still held those bitcoins he will probably be a millionaire by now.
1212  Economy / Economics / Re: USD vs BTC on: November 23, 2017, 06:15:54 PM
As of today, USD is more preferable than BTC because it is mote stable and use by most of the countries however bitcoin is starting to bloom. Maybe in the near future it will compete with USD.
If your reason to pick the dollar is because it is more stable then you should pick bitcoin instead, the US dollar is losing value every single minute of the day since its government does not stop printing those useless pieces of paper, but with bitcoin things are different and the value in the long term only goes up.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Great resistance against new ICO's all over the world by goverments and banks... on: November 23, 2017, 06:13:56 PM

The ICO industry is full of scams, and this is not looking good for the industry being able to regulate itself, which is why so many countries are taking the side of banning ICOs, or at least investors investing in them. It's unfortunate that the industry is to full of scammers. There needs to be some legitimate web services which can actually audit ICOs, by audit I mean being flown down at the ICOs expense, to inspect offices, financials, meet staff, etc.
That would be nice but the scammers are never going to allow it, it is funny that icos now have KYC customer policies but we do not have know your ico policies that in my opinion are a lot more important since they are the ones that at the end hold millions of dollars worth of bitcoin.
1214  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: November 21, 2017, 11:43:40 PM
Bitcoin is far from death. I believe in Bitcoin and I think that this is the money of our future. Instability of the price does not mean Bitcoin's death. On the contrary, Bitcoin becoming more popular and stronger day after day.
Bitcoin is more alive than ever, people thought that in the past but bitcoin has finally woken up and it seems it is going to become unstoppable very soon, no only is the price, some countries have begun accepting bitcoin as an official way of payment, segwit finally got activated and the lightning network is not that far behind, so 2018 is going to be another great year for bitcoin.
1215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BItcoin end or destroy in this month?? on: November 21, 2017, 11:39:03 PM
I donot understand what are going to on bitcoin?Bitcoin dumping  and dumping Shocked Shocked. Now bitcoin under 3600$ i think in this week its going to under 3000$.China can destroy bitcoin or ended this month. What your predict ?
It is incredible some people make this kind of threads, bitcoin doubled its price after this thread was created, and now even if the price is going down almost everyone in the forum must have made a lot of money, some people just do not have the patience to let bitcoin do its own thing and give profits to us.
Greediness my friend, that is it. People are just to greedy and they wish to win all the time and never lose. They wish to be in more profit, and more and bitcoin was 1.000$ now its 8.000$ but its not good enough, just 100$ drop make people come here and create topics about dooms day. Soon price will be 3 times higher then price in time of creation of this thread, but still new comments about bitcoin crash appears all the time. What price and which level of adoption will be enough to satisfy appetite of certain people, or that can't be done.
Then it is kind of depressing to know this, after all I do not trade my bitcoin I simply hold and keep buying a small amount every month I do not even look at the price I just buy whenever I can afford it and that simple strategy has allowed me to have incredible profits already.
1216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions of where bitcoin will be by the the end of 2018 on: November 21, 2017, 11:36:23 PM
however I think in the next year the price is not going to move much after all we cannot get new all time highs in every month, we need some time to rest and some time to accumulate more bitcoin.

Bitcoin's adoption is constantly increasing, so regardless of the short term dips we experience, we'll continue to go up. If CME gets an approval from the SEC, we'll see this market rocket up like there is no tomorrow -- this will open the door for institutions to enter the market. We can't expect each year to result in 500-600% growth margins, which obviously is insane if you think about it, but growth is something that can't be held back for too long. If we do happen to correct further from current levels, it's nothing more than a temporary step back -- either keep holding, or use it to buy even more coins.
I know that bitcoin is not going to wait for us if it skyrockets then it is better that we get to have a lot of bitcoin already in order to take advantage of that situation but to me it seems the growth needs to slow down a little bit, it is impossible to maintain the big percentage of earnings we got in this year.
1217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Physical Gold/Silver price Speculation? on: November 21, 2017, 11:33:54 PM

They're related markets but gold and silver are the old school crypto, suppressed by "the man" to make fiat seem worth more.

I think gold and silver's time will come, because the US will have to revalue the dollar against gold at some point or they'll go broke.

Basically this in order for gold and silver to skyrocket you not only need an economic crisis you need a debacle of the current economic system, that is going to bring big chaos to the world but those holding gold, silver and bitcoin will get incredible gains when that happens.
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥Unobtanium (UNO) More Valuable than BITCOIN IN FUTURE?? on: November 17, 2017, 04:38:59 AM
Could some of you hodlers briefly explain why you would be holding this Coin? I don't get it.

just like how you hold GOLD, the value will only go UP!!!
But we already have a coin that is like gold and it is called bitcoin, even if the value will go up what is the point since there is almost no volume, when the price goes up everybody will want to sell and then the price is going to dump, thanks but I prefer to hold my bitcoin instead.
1219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airbnb with blockchain? on: November 17, 2017, 04:36:25 AM
What's everyone's thoughts on the bee token? They are decentralizing short term housing rentals with blockchain and zero commissions. Their team is made up of engineers from Uber, Google, and Facebook (pretty impressive if you ask me).

site: https://www.thebeetoken.com/

whitepaper: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/beenest-public/whitepaper/bee_whitepaper_v2.pdf

And why do we need the blockchain for? I’m not against the idea but I do not see a market for it, airbnb is a giant and I do not see any benefit, the market is already saturated of copy sites and the most important factor is to get people to use your website and I do not see how using a blockchain is going to help the business model.
1220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 World Cup qualifications, UEFA zone, discussion and information thread on: November 17, 2017, 04:21:45 AM
Heart attacks in Italy,if Italy will not qualify it will be national tragedy, but lets see maybe penalties like again Germany during Euro
I’m extremely disappointed in Italy performance, they failed to qualify to the world cup, they did not score a single goal against Sweden they deserve to miss the world cup, but man a world cup without Italy is going to be weird, maybe this is a sign of things to come.
