1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC sent by mistake to localbitcoins wallet. How to recover? on: December 05, 2023, 04:38:49 PM
Also leaving all addresses  active so transaction  actually can be done is kind of lack of responsibility or in other words waiting for an opportunity  ( mistakes can happen).
You must understand that you can't deactivate a bitcoin address and prevent it from receiving bitcoin. What you can do is check where you are sending your coins. I know that you don't want to hear this and that it might feel like kicking you while you are down, but this is all your fault. You should have verified the address you wanted to send to before confirming/broadcasting the transaction. Sadly, it's too late now.

In these case banks at least have some formal protocols enabling  for corrections , refunds etc ...but here is still wild territory where is no mercy  for mistakes even for such hard working  people like me when savings for such a mount lasted for more than half a year or longer.
Bitcoin requires you to be your own cashier, security department, monitoring service, financial consultant, etc. It's tricky in the beginning, and that's why care and attention to detail are a must.

In addition to Pmalek. If my founds would  be touched can use It against  them as they claimed in support that as if they could not have any access at all any more . To my question who has access to private keys they answered that Local Bitcoin is web based wallet . What kind of answer is that ?!!!
Support personnel only have the very basic understanding of how crypto works. They were probably trying to say that neither you or them have access to private keys. However, someone set up their systems and private keys are being saved by someone and somewhere.
1202  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The Bitcoin History Book 2008-2024 PROGRESS REPORT on: December 05, 2023, 04:26:17 PM
Nah I'll pass on that.  I don't find it appealing, and it will effect some of the page layouts (text boxes will expand with lower page text boxes without adequate space).  I treat every page as a work of art.
I understand. It was worth a shot. Wink
Once the book is finished, will it only be available in physical form as a hardcover or have you thought about releasing it as an e-book as well? You know how bitcoiners and members of this community are about their privacy and not sharing their personal information (including addresses) with anyone.

<Snip>
Thanks for the detailed explanation.
Have you shared this information and proof with the Casino Guru team? I know you said you did, but in the thread (https://casinoguru-en.com/bc-game-casino-player-s-withdrawal-is-delayed-and), your reply is still being awaited, and the countdown shows a little under two days remaining. Maybe their specialist, Peter still hasn't taken a look at the data to update the topic and confirm that you sent the proof that they requested.
1204  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Android] Seedcake App Open-Source Bitcoin Seed Storage on: December 04, 2023, 06:15:58 PM
I am afraid you won't receive a lot of support and users for a piece of software that stores recovery phrases digitally on a smartphone. I wouldn't be interested in doing it, regardless if it's your app or one created by a more popular brand or individual. Offline paper and metal backups should always have priority in my opinion. But don't get discouraged, and keep working on the ideas you have. Who knows, your next project and creation could be a real killer. Keep up the good work.
1205  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: My crypto news site - cryptotalk.tech on: December 04, 2023, 06:02:34 PM
Not all the news articles have visible images on the landing page but I can see it's because those particular articles don't even have images when you open them. But it looks a little unusual to come across articles with only a documents icon visible where there should be a picture. To prevent that, I think it's best to add an image to each article visible on the main page.

The main page begins with general news and then goes on to single out Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin-related content. The section that follows is called Altcoins. Maybe a more appropriate name would be Other Altcoins because ETH and LTC are also altcoins, and we see them before the Altcoins section.

Good luck with the site!
Hopefully you can fix the loading times and add a dark mode.
1206  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The Bitcoin History Book 2008-2024 PROGRESS REPORT on: December 04, 2023, 05:47:38 PM
I don't know why, but I have always liked when the books I read begin with an extra large letter for the first word in a new section.
For instance, your first section titled Registration of the bitcoin.org Domain Name begins with From late 2007 to 2009...
Instead of that, I would prefer From late 2007 to 2009...
I obviously don't expect you to make that change. Just providing some feedback on what I find more visually appealing.
1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Uncomfirmed Transaction on: December 04, 2023, 05:36:26 PM
My point was that if you can spend unconfirmed coins, you can do CPFP manually without coin control.
Right. Coin control only provides you with more possibilities and a chance to select those specific outputs that you want to use instead of allowing the software to make that selection. It's in no way essential though, just like you said. But it could make things more difficult. If you have a new wallet with multiple incoming unconfirmed transactions, not having coin control and the ability to select a UTXO could make it more challenging when figuring out the new fee rate for your CPFP transaction.
1208  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.Game SCAM: cancelled bonuses and revoked $150k+ USD balance on my account on: December 04, 2023, 04:49:48 PM
I would also like to ask the BC.Game forum representative if they can post some evidence in this thread to back up their claims that they had listed Azuki with more than a 3 times higher price than it should be? They will probably be sharing it with CasinoGuru and AskGamblers, but I don't believe it's sensitive information that shouldn't be posted publicly.
1209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: how to access from phrases only. on: December 04, 2023, 04:41:26 PM
I wasn't there at the time, but could it be some software that generated some custom solution?
I have never used it nor do I know how it works without looking it up on the Internet, but Armory used to have its own unique backup solution I believe. They called it root keys. Not only that, but there were different versions of these keys, adding more complexity to the backup process.

nc50lc talks about root keys, a chaincode, and a SecurePrint for Armory in this post:

You wont be able to restore it to the oldest version because it requires a "Chaincode" alongside the "Root Key" and "SecurePrint™ Code".
Specifically old versions lower than v0.90; You can only restore your backup to Armory versions that support 'backup version 1.35c'.

I think that's what HCP meant by the long "sooooo". Because what you said and what you have didn't matched.

Try remember the Chaincode which is another two lines similar to the root key, then you can try to restore it to the oldest version.

OP seems to have disappeared after creating this thread. He either figured out what to do himself or gave up.
1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Uncomfirmed Transaction on: December 04, 2023, 04:29:16 PM
This is true, but just to be more accurate:
To be able to do CPFP manually, what matters is your (non-custodial) wallet allowing to spend unconfirmed outputs.

In the case the wallet allows you to spend unconfirmed outputs, you can create a CPFP tranaction manually by spending the total balance even if the wallet doesn't support coin-control.
Good addition. I had that in mind, but didn't consider mentioning it because my guess is that the most popular wallets most of us use and those that are being recommended on this forum, would have the option to allow users to spend unconfirmed outputs. I am not big on experimenting with new software just for the sake of using something new. Perhaps you can tell us if you are aware of any non-custodial wallets with coin control where it isn't possible to spend unconfirmed outputs?
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC sent by mistake to localbitcoins wallet. How to recover? on: December 04, 2023, 04:22:18 PM
Do they have legal rights to use founds?
Bitcoin uses a public ledger. You can always follow your coins on the blockchain. You deposited them into your LocalBitcoins account by mistake and from time to time you can check if the coins are transferred to a different address than the one you initially used. That would be a clear sign that someone is still checking and moving coins from the LB team. But even if the don't move, they surely haven't deleted their keys.

Cheers,
Thanks for accepting me Royse777. Unfortunately, I have to turn it down.
icopress accepted me in the MixTum campaign starting today. I should have deleted my [banned mixer] application but forgot to. The payrate is excellent but it would be unfair of me to change campaigns just because of that.

I hope we can work together in the future. Sorry for the inconvenience caused by not deleting my application!

Cheers!

At the moment, we are waiting for the BC.Game team to supply the 3rd-party arbitrators with the requested evidence that shows there was a discrepancy in the allocated Azuki NFTs, that the majority of the player's bets were in the mentioned NFTs, and lastly that he was aware of the casino's mistake with the token allocation. If BC.Game can provide that and 3rd-party meditators accept the evidence, it will be enough for me not to think that the OP has a valid case here or that the casino is at fault.
1214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC sent by mistake to localbitcoins wallet. How to recover? on: December 03, 2023, 01:59:26 PM
Mistakenly sent, but how?

Did you log in your LocalBitcoins account and get that receiving address before sending your bitcoin from Bittrex to that account?
It's possible, but in that case OP would probably have seen the notifications on the official website that the service has been shut down. It's more likely that he saved the LocalBitcoins address somewhere on his computer (email, personal notes) and mistakenly sent the coins to it thinking they were going elsewhere.
1215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Uncomfirmed Transaction on: December 03, 2023, 01:54:28 PM
I recall Blue Wallet supports RBF and CPFP though.
A wallet doesn't need to show a unique CPFP button or feature for you to create a CPFP transaction. Electrum has such an option if you right-click on a coin where that is suitable to be used. But if you have a non-custodial wallet with coin control and you are the recipient of the unconfirmed transaction, you can bump its fees by creating a new transaction from the unconfirmed coins and pay enough to incentivize miners to include both the parent and child transactions in a block. The same is true if you have change from the original unconfirmed parent transaction that you can then spend in a new transaction with higher fees.
1216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC sent by mistake to localbitcoins wallet. How to recover? on: December 03, 2023, 01:34:37 PM
I have found a law firm in London  that specialises  in crypto and I will see what they would  advise.https://www.selachii.com/advice-for-victims-of-bitcoin-fraud.html
It could prove to be expensive and not really worth it if you are going to give most of the money to the law firm to handle your case. I would again advice you to contact the Finish Financial Authority and see what they have to say. It's a serious country and regulator; we aren't talking about Curacao or the Seychelles Islands. Check with them, and you can always go back to discussing the matter with a law firm if they can't do anything.
1217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Please Help! Unconfirmed BTC TX on: December 03, 2023, 01:24:00 PM
I think the only way to know if a tx was accelerated by a mining pool is if the transaction was added in one of the blocks mined by the pool the tx was submitted to, but in ViaBTC's paid acceleration service, your tx can be accelerated by either ViaBTC pool or one of their cooperating pools, and i would like to think that it is the same for other paid tx accelerating pools. Surely op accelerated this tx, because fee rate in the mempool hasn't dropped as low as the fee rate they attached to their tx.
I also think it was accelerated and probably with the service that Mempool.space provides. The fee rate was too low for a free ViaBTC acceleration and OP already confirmed he didn't have the money to pay for the paid service. He was also on the waiting list on Mempool.space, but we don't know how all that ended.

ViaBTC has its own pool, just like you mentioned. Plus, submitted transactions to them can also be accelerated via partner pools. Mempool.space doesn't have its own pool, at least not under that name. That's why I wanted to know more about how the service works exactly and what OP paid for and to whom.
1218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck in mempool- please help me , please on: December 03, 2023, 09:30:30 AM
Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully it can come in handy for those who need it.

The best option is you need to broadcast a full RBF replacement would be to manually connect to well connected nodes which are known to accept full RBF connections (such as https://petertodd.org/2023/why-you-should-run-mempoolfullrbf#full-rbf-peering)
This is for Bitcoin Core and those running their own nodes. Any idea which Electrum nodes one could connect to for similar results?

broadcast via a well connected service which is known to accept full RBF replacements (such as https://mempool.space/tx/push, http://mempoolhqx4isw62xs7abwphsq7ldayuidyx2v2oethdhhj6mlo2r6ad.onion/tx/push).
This is good and anyone could do it who created the transaction. Alternatively, you can get it from a block explorer if it was broadcasted-
1219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Please Help! Unconfirmed BTC TX on: December 03, 2023, 09:11:20 AM
@Biancamason940
Your 7 sat/vByte transaction confirmed, which is a bit surprising to me. Did the mempool empty to the point where it confirmed manually or did you accelerate it with Mempool.space? Some feedback would be appreciated because it can help others who are in the same situation as you. It would also give credibility to Mempool.space and it's acceleration service. I don't remember seeing a post where someone wrote about their experience using Mempool.space tx acceleration yet.
1220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck in mempool- please help me , please on: December 03, 2023, 08:39:34 AM
If the node has dropped the original transaction, it will accept the replacement.
If the node still has the original transaction, and has full RBF disabled, it will reject the replacement.
If the node still has the original transaction, and has full RBF enabled, it will accept the replacement, provided the replacement meets the fee criteria for RBF replacements.
Obviously, each node owner can decide for themselves whether or not they will support full RBF. But is there a way for a 3rd-party (like you or me) to know which node supports full RBF? It could help when you need to create such a doublespend transaction.

Even though the purging rate is 10 sat/vByte right now and OP only pays 7, Mempool.Space hasn't dropped his transaction. I am guessing many other nodes still have it in their memory even now. Knowing exactly where to go would speed things up.
