1202  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: (HELP) How do i pay Taxes on Bitcoin or any other Atlcoins on: January 28, 2014, 05:51:00 AM
AltorXP, your points should be ignored as lunacy. of course the government will tax it. if you don' t pay they throw your ass in the can. its that simple. if i were you, i'd start a savings account and 10% of your earnings each month or week, put in this account. then at the end of the year, you take your bank statement to the tax lady and let her work her magic. write off your internet usage, any software you buy, shipping costs etc. make the system work for you, don't let the system make you work.
1203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hand Control to the Establishment: Arrest the Early Adopters on: January 28, 2014, 05:45:19 AM
It occures to me with Charlie's arrest that this might be the start of people being arrested for things they did in the early days of bitcoin when it was all still considered "play money". With the blockchain being immutable as it is, the crimes of a few years ago (Stealing 10,000BTC) for example, might now be prosecutable, even though at the time maybe people thought it was worth no more then a 1000 USD. I bet a large number of theives or just lazy/entreprenurial bitcoin early adopters might have done things that sounded like fun at the time but now might be considered serious financial crimes. I wonder for example when Fontas might get found/arrested/prosecuted for securities fraud....

I really dont think something like that would even be close to fair, convicting someone for stealing an item when the item was worth $1 is much different when $1,000,000 (if the thief is being convicted for stealing $1,000,000). That is completely unfair -the loss the victim suffered should be based on the exchange rate at the time. Thats like say stealing a penny, but then there's is a massive copper shortage, and pennies are now worth 100x their original face value. Would the thief be convicted for stealing the original face value at the time it was stolen, or the new much higher value? I think the first is WAY more fair. Pretty far shot example, but it's the same concept.

Life isn't fair.

1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Openex hacked but coins recovered on: January 28, 2014, 04:46:55 AM
I had trades open for the Astrocoin. They can at least closed those trades on Openex so we can use those coins for other stuff.

its just closed temporarily while we attempt to figure out what happened. i asked the dev's point blank why they changed the genesis hash, and they have yet to answer. for the safety of our customers, asr is delisted until we figure out whether the problem is on our end or in the actual client.
1208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hand Control to the Establishment: Arrest the Early Adopters on: January 28, 2014, 04:43:37 AM
I'd say most Americans lack a knowledge of what freedom means, from a constitutional perspective. They've been raised (as was I!)  in this system with all the messages and such... Most never really question what they're taught. They just follow the herd, keep their heads down, follow celebrities.

"waking up" as it were, takes a lot of effort and can be frankly painful. Most people resist it with everything they have.

Waking up will take something other than a bunch of internet che guevara wannabes, who btw got his ass holed in while in the jungles of bolivia because reality turned out a little different than his fantasies.

Your kind are the easiest to manipulate. This kind of juvenile bullshit 'rah rah rah fite da powa' is not freedom, neither is it 'exercising your rights'. It's just a whole lot of bitching.

Fish rots from the head. Head of democracy is supposed to be level-headed, courageous and responsible people who have some back bone. Since we got a bunch of internet cunts acting the role, you are the greatest contributor to the degradation of democratic values and freedom - simply because you don't have what it takes to deserve them.

Look to yourself before getting mouthy with the 'establishment'. Can't even take a breather to stop bitching and barking at 'THE MAN'.

weird tx id's, but according to the client they appear valid. hoping someone can explain this. saw these tx ids in a users account, just before noticing the asr wallet was not matching up with user balances on the website. i'm unsure of how the tx's below appear valid in the client?

Well, after about 10 or so perfect withdrawals without any problems, i officially became the latest victim of their apparent racket. I say apparent, because first of all they won't answer your support tickets, or tell you what is going on, and second of all you can't tell whether its a racket or just a bunch of problems with their system on their end, because they won' t answer your support tickets, and will instead tell you repeatedly, "its coming on tuesday", but your withdrawal will never come.

It all started about two weeks ago, when i attempted to withdraw 330 dollars to my bank account. a week passed, and magically the USD was back in my account with anote from the treasurer "we are making system upgrades, all withdrawals will be processed on tuesday. that's cool i thought, and left my withdrawal pending. then last week, the same thing. USD back to my account, note that it would be processed tuesday of last week, they were "upgrading their system" again. Ok, one more time. says its executed on 1/22/14 here it is 1/27/14 and nothing in my bank account. bought back in in bitcoin and tranferred my coins to coinbase to sell. Do not use Campbx, they will screw you over then marginalize you when you call them on it.

be forewarned.

1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx: Fee shares-UPDATE: NEED PAYOUT ADDRESS FOR CURRENT SHARE OWNERS on: January 25, 2014, 06:06:03 PM
added market overview page with volume accurate to 8 decimal places. not simulated volume based on quantity * last price, actual volume based on the value of each trade executed in a 24 hour period.

Code:
$timez = time() - (60*60*24);
$sql24hour = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `Trade_History` WHERE `Timestamp` >= '$timez' AND `Market_Id`='$market_id'");
$vol = array();
while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($sql24hour)) {
$vol[] = $row["Quantity"] * $row["Price"];
}
$volume = sprintf("%0.8f",array_sum($vol));

improved chat performance.

optimized deposit engine and found the error and patched it.

added a file download manager and api documentation/example implementations which can be downloaded in RTF format.

Just saw this thread.  Truly awesome, and just shows that there are still (though they are in the minority) very good people in the virtual currency world.  Glad to see your dog is okay!

I wasn't always good. when i signed up here i pulled a bunch of petty scams but felt guilty and admitted it after some months. i paid everyone back eventually but alot of people still remember me as a scammer
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx: Fee shares-UPDATE: NEED PAYOUT ADDRESS FOR CURRENT SHARE OWNERS on: January 24, 2014, 04:58:28 PM
anybody see it?

im waiting more 5 hours. WTF

i was asleep. get a grip wouldya. besides this is a fee share thread. if you want to lodge a complaint, do so in the scam accusations or better yet, stop using our site. we've stated repeatedly that withdrawals are subject to admin approval during the beta phase. this is for the protection of the customers money, and not meant to be an annoyance to you. i am sorry that i can't stay awake 24/7 to process all withdrawals. bear with me.

dont worry i dont use again.
if you cant stay 24/7 you need write online-offline status to site. Maybe i see and not get withdraw, and go on trade. Beacuse after withdraw request, cant cancel it.
But i lost 5-6 hours and price go -%30.

i still waiting for withdraw.

you are not waiting. i processed all withdrawals as soon as i woke up, unless you were the guy who tried to withdraw asr to a bitcoin address. i can't remember the username right off hand. check your balance just in case. canceled withdrawals refund to the account holder.

yes you processed it. i edit my post.
if anything i got wrong sorry, but i think im right this situation.
you need show admin status.

that is a good idea. i'll add it to the settings menu and add a display to the index page, and some type of notification to the withdrawal page. The exchange is still in beta, i'm working very hard to get all the ducks in a row. So far we haven't seen anything that doesn't add up but i'm still nervous about adding automated withdrawals without getting some professional eyes on the code first.

yes off course you right.Security first. But add online status. if people read notificaton and see admin not online, so not get withdraw and goon trade or wait.

thanks i already added that for you, first thing i did when i logged in.

How do I go about collecting the income on my two shares?

shake, if you would post your address here that would be good. i still haven't built the feeshare splitting system but i will try to build that today at some point in time. i need to build a table of all fee share holders, their #shares and their address. that would be beneficial.

Roger that, BTC addy? thanks r3wtz0r!

yes sir, we only take fees in btc now.
