1201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you would win a Jackpot what would you do with the money? on: August 18, 2017, 07:54:01 PM
If you would win a large amount suddenly, like a jackpot or a lottery, what would you do with the money? Especially if the money is coming to you suddenly, unexpected, and you were not prepared to win such large amount.

Let's say you would win something like 200 BTC or more,  which I have seen many gambling websites payout from time to time. What would you do with it?

1) You would gamble with it again, trying to multiply the bet, to get even more money
2) You would withdraw the money, and invest it into some financial investment: maybe some cryptocurrency investment, maybe some fiat investment
3) You would spend it:
    A) Buy a car or a house
    B) Spend it on women or wife
    C) Spend it on your kids
4) Donate it to charity
5) Start up a business
6) Hold it in Bitcoin
7) Other

I might partial it into 2,3a,4,5 and all that is left will be for 6. And will have maybe a few percent for 1 since I might missed playing and as for enjoyment. Plus travelling with my family and loves one. It's so nice to think pf these things to happen.

this is a great idea and maybe we can follow like what you will do. and yes for 1, we should not use big money to continue playing gambling because its too risky, we can lose everything we have and there are no guarantee for us to win the jackpot again. it is the best for us if we can enjoy for 2, 3a, 3b, 4, 5, 6 because i think its a gift for us which not every people can win.
Gambling is not an option in this case at the very first place. Starting a business in order to have long term profits and everlasting earning is smart.
Giving some of it to charity is good to earn some virtue. Also, sharing is caring and giving others decreases your greed while making society more stable. The best of all is to invest in Bitcoins.
1202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: August 18, 2017, 07:41:06 PM
For me bitcoin is bringing big changes to the people's economy, so everyone has an opportunity to earn income from bitcoin not just for the rich only
Bitcoin has accepted all people without any discrimination as its holders. It is just the variation in the number of bitcoins people can have hands on depending on their will and wealth. Of course if I have more fiats and I decide to turn it into BTC, I will definitely have more of them. Other than that anyone can make as many bitcoins as he wants to. It all depends upon patience and skills.
1203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Your Bitcoin Dream? on: August 18, 2017, 06:32:32 PM
My bitcoin dream is to be able to settle down somewhere nice, have a car & house and own a private business so I work for myself and no-one else. I think it is definitely possible with bitcoin and that many people have already done so. Bitcoin is still growing and although has already made quite a few millionaires, I think that we have yet to see the full potential of bitcoin in the years to come. Overall, I just want to be able to have a solid income and afford many things I desire, not necessarily rich and expensive items.
Bitcoins will definitely help you in accomplishing your dream. Eric was a student who started investing in bitcoins when it was only 12 dollars worth in 2011. Now he is a millionaire and has left the college. He is planning to keep on believing in bitcoins and definitely with his present wealth, deep sight and skills, he can make a stand alone business. My best wishes are with you! ^_^
1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe the FBI holds the biggest number of bitcoin? on: August 18, 2017, 06:43:41 AM
Who in FBI holds Bitcoin? FBI isn't a person and only Individuals can hold Bitcoins.

If there is a party trying to control Bitcoins it's China. USA can be watching it, but I don't believe they are trying to have control over it or anything similar...
Lmao.. such a funny answer. So you call the USA fools…lol. Who told you is only individuals that can own Bitcoin ? This platform is irrespective of who you are, whether in person or company, you can have an account. The USA government is likely to be investing into bitcoin secretly; these people are likely to do the unexpected.

So, yes! The FBI is likely to be involved in this, and as a matter of fact, they might even be monitoring the forum to see what’s going on (I said likely to, so that doesn’t mean they have an account, cause I’m assuming they do)
1205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why does bitcoin has constantly increasing its price lately? on: August 17, 2017, 06:21:47 PM
I'm just curious how bitcoin is rapidly increasing its value. Just last month its value was only around 2000 USD then suddenly after the fork it has constantly increased its price and now reached 4000 USD. Are there any reason why bitcoin has constantly rising? Can we expect that this month it will reach 5000 USD?
That’s because there were people who kept watching from the side to see what happens after the fork. Things didn’t turn out as the world expected, because Bitcoin was expected to crash a lot, but fortunately it maintained its price. So that attracted some of the side lookers to make heavy investments into it.
1206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Biggest Misconception About Cryptocurrency on: August 16, 2017, 09:15:08 PM
One thing that really bugs me is when people associate exchanges with bitcoin itself. An example is when Mt. Gox got hacked and people lost their crypto that was being stored on Mt. Gox. This caused those who do not know about the difference between exchanges and private keys to assume that "bitcoin got hacked."

My ongoing line is to say that holding bitcoin in an exchange is like holding money in a bank account, while holding bitcoin on a private key is like taking money out of a bank account and storing it under your bed (or some other safe area, assuming under your bed is safe). Basically - if the bank gets robbed then your personal money is with you under your bed. Much like bitcoin, in that if an exchange is hacked then you have your bitcoin on a private key.

I know this is an incredibly simplified version - banks have insurance, central record keeping, no armed robber could acquire all the money in a bank in one heist, etc. etc. etc. - but it illustrates the point that holding your private keys gives you complete control over your crypto. Therefore, no exchange "is bitcoin".
Haha! Looks like this stuff has been getting on your nerves lately! But I really enjoyed the way you clarified all the concepts and the difference between exchange hack and bitcoins hack(which does not exist).
A very precious piece of information! Also, Simpler is better so your comment is perfect. This will also help many people in securing their crypto currencies.
1207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: God of gambling is just on the movies on: August 12, 2017, 10:41:53 AM
God of gambling nickname given to those who always win everytime they're gamble even when they almost lost they could flip the situations and became the winner indeed i never heard any person who able to do that so there is no such thing in the real life
Yes you are right, it is just on the movie i agree with OP, the gamblers always be winning in play gambling
it is something impossible will happen, no one in the world could do that.
Even the owners of gambling games its self will get difficulty to always be the winner in gambling
God of gambling is  entertainment on the movie.
There are gambler tycoons. Lets just say they are the chosen ones who are bestowed with gambling charm and most of the time they don't have to face defeat. I have not met any human being who has never seen defeat in his life, not yet. In order to grow, we all have to fall first. And real life is at 180 degrees to pictures and movies.

Wouldn't even have thought about it before I read this post since I usually done participate in long-shot lottery type deals.  I think I would spend a lot of it, keep some in crypto, and keep some in other investments as well.
How about you give me a jackpot first and then I will let you know my plans. I am not a sort of person who do daydreaming.

Still, lets just say you have given me this lottery, I will invest some of it in bitcoins and start a little business with the remaining  because I want to confirm a secure future and enjoy a luxurious life. I will be patient and work hard and will never do gambling for sure, not that dumb :p
1209  Economy / Economics / Re: Could the banking system be behind cryptocurrenices? on: August 12, 2017, 08:16:16 AM
I can guarantee you the banking system is not behind cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin was made by 1 individual. His name is "Satoshi Nakamoto".

The technology was invented by him and is a decentralized system.

Banks do no like Bitcoin because it takes money from them.
Yes, banks are the entities whose existence is highly threatened but the tremendous use of bitcoins and other digital currencies.

Everyone knows that Bitcoins are decentralized and this is what banks and many governments hate about Bitcoins. Bitcoin have given the whole power in the hands of local people and this is why people are highly attracted towards is currency.
1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM locations on a rapid increase... on: August 12, 2017, 07:14:21 AM
There are no ATMs in my country, but I don't understand the need to go to an ATM, when you can easily purchase Bitcoins from LocalBitcoins.com for just 2% or 3% markup. I have heard that the ATMs are having markup of 6% to 8%.

It's debatable and purely based on opinion, but like others said, ATMs are good for convenience. Using localbitcoins is convenient, but lets say you're not home and need to buy/sell some bitcoins, then ATMs are far more convenient in my opinion(if you have a bitcoin ATM closeby). Especially when there's an emergency for example, whereas you will surely be in a rush to sell some bitcoins, with a cost of higher fees of course.

Whether or not you like or use bitcoin ATMs though, you can't disagree that having bitcoin ATMs in public is definitely good publicity.
I think if you have a mobile wallet and still you go to an ATM, which will be a pretty dumb act. These bitcoins ATMs are nothing but just another business giving huge profits to owners not users. Why to pay such high charges on ATMs while you can perform same tasks the easier and fast way? I see this technology is just trying to fool innocent people. Bitcoin will be known by everyone very soon, even without such publicity.
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is unstoppable on: August 11, 2017, 09:25:23 PM

even when attacked from the inside by blockstream/core it just forks and offers two chains. at least one will continue delivering p2p electronic money to the people with low fees.  maybe both?  we'll see. Smiley

It feels good to see bitcoin working that way. I'm loving the concept of bitcoin and segwit2x activation. This has led everything towards advancement. The price of bitcoin will keep rising as the time is passing and new development keep happening.

The p2p transactions will never come to end as there are tons of users for it and the industry will keep rising on that principle. The need of such deliveries will never come o end and bitcoin will rise and rise. The unstoppable. :-)
Bitcoins value is accelerating day by day and it is going to touch 4500 dollars or above within next two months or so. This digital currency is attracting masses all over the globe and it’s a beautiful way to earn a luxurious life. It is getting popular with every passing moment.

There are thousands of people who are using p2p transactions and its existence is safe for eternity or at least for our whole lives for sure. :p
1212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best way to cashout your bitcoin now? on: August 11, 2017, 09:13:21 PM
If you live somewhere in Canada or US, probably the easiest way is to use Bitcoin ATMs. I wish such ATMs were more widespread all around the world.
Apart from this I withdraw money directly to my Bank card using CEX.io. Now it is the best solution for me.
The two methods you have explained are easiest and common methods. Bitcoin ATMs should be introduced into other countries as well. This step will surely positively affect the popularity and usage of bitcoins. American and Canadians are lucky in this respect. The legalization of bitcoins can result in the plantation of bitcoins n other states as well.
1213  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: August 11, 2017, 08:53:37 PM
I am thinking .. to put all my money in bitcoin what do you think? is it a good way to grow my money? or it is risky or.. ?

No, I don't. There is a saying that says don't put your eggs in one basket so putting all your money in bitcoin is not recommended. If something happens to bitcoin then you lose your funds but when you diversify and put your money preferably in different investment like in real estate, or other traditional business or other altcoin that has potential would be preferred because if one of these lose value then you have others still earning.
Yeah, it is wise to have a diversified portfolio in order to be on the safe side. But I don't mind investing the large portion of my savings into Bitcoins along with other digital currencies to have a bright future for myself and my family. Bitcoin have a clear edge over other currencies and has got the potential of multiplying your capital many times within months or even weeks. In short I would love to invest as much as I can into Bitcoin.
1214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you Panic? on: August 11, 2017, 08:33:57 PM
Sometimes when I have bought at high price and if the price starts to take dip then it creates a panic situation beacuse what if the price at which I bought will tae some months to reach . So at times I sell the BTC in panic situation
Oops! That’s so sad if you many times sold bitcoins just by getting panicked under negative market pressure. Just keep in mind that nothing is table in crypto world an even in our real lives, whatever problems we are facing, they are not permanent. Same is the case with the prices of digital currencies especially that of bitcoins. So always believe in your coins and keep holding them.
1215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers are active these days. on: August 11, 2017, 07:56:51 PM
hackers will always be active and everyone just needs to be smart and not rush doing things... from slack scams, fake websites, fake wallets... it never ends

True, hackers never rest, they always try to exploit something exploitable and even resort to some dirty strategies.  They have lots of way to hack our account.  Just for example some phishing email that mimic the original site of a reputable website, the only difference is the address but if you are not keen on observation, you will not notice it.  I had received lots of these in my email and almost made me click the link but I noticed that it was not the original sites link.
For hackers, it’s their curiosity which pushes them to breach all sort of securities. They like testing their skills and love technology. That’s why they spend days and nights on it. Not every hacker is a bad guy.

Some of them are good and help many organizations in improving their security. In this world, there will be always good and evil, darkness and light. By the way, this sort of phishing is now out of fashion. But staying alert and good! I advise everyone to not trust everything they found on internet.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits from Gambling on: August 11, 2017, 07:12:19 PM
Gambling is the only way to make a quick money and the benefits will come to you only if you win and that will depend on your luck but most of the times you will be loosing your money in it so I don't see any benefits involved in gambling.

many people is only get loss in gambling and i think they must thinking that gambling is not giving benefits to them and better they stay away from gambling. no matter how good your luck in gambling, in the end you can have big loss in gambling and can makes you cried for regretting. there are no benefits from gambling for people which are thinking twice before they become an addicted people in gambling.

It is reality, because only few luckiest people get benefits from gambling and in fact majority of the people are hopeless and faces the lose and lose in everyday, Then for those people have no benefits from gambling. It is real life of gambling where not everyone get benefit from it. But i also accept some people we call them luckiest people get benefit from gambling and also it is reality and we should accept it.
People with gambling charm are very rare. Yet there is no doubt that they exist. Personally, I pity those people who keep on trying their luck in this game and lose all their assets. If gambling has your interest and you want to play it safe, then the best option you have is to bet the amount whose loss does not affect your survival badly.

Benefits from gambling will be possible only for the gamblers who are not spending much. We do not need to risk big to find better benefits from gambling.
1217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Open AI Gambling Bot/Discussion on: August 11, 2017, 05:35:33 PM
Look at google go ai, there are millions upon millions of moves, the portability of each move is very low and yet it has managed to beat the best of us. I don't think we need a quantum leap for just poker and stock predictions. There are bots which are already predicting the stock prices.

Checkers/chess/go programs brute force calculate every possible move. A question can be raised whether that represents true artificial intelligence. A go program calculates every move then uses an algorithm to estimate which move is the best, not unlike a coin sorter which evaluates each coin size to sort pennies from nickels and dimes.

Over the past 50 years, there hasn't been much evolution in terms of artificial intelligence software. All gains have come from hardware advancing via moore's law to a point where programs can calculate every possible move in checkers/chess/go within a reasonably short time.

There's no doubt computer programs (which probably shouldn't be called artificial intelligence) are very good at evaluating massive numbers of against some preset criteria. It shouldn't be confused with true artificial intelligence though.
We, human have created computers and as far as artificial intelligence bots being used to play games are concerned, there is no doubt that they can calculate all possible moves and select the best option in very short time.

But I believe in the strength of human brains which is center of genuine intelligence and where is the fun if bots will be used to play for us ?
1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Gambling, Money is not everything on: August 11, 2017, 03:51:20 PM
basically, Gambling was invented for making entertainment and mind refreshment purpose. but in recent times, Gambling has become a way of making money. but I think Gambling can help to reduce mental disturbance and tiresome activities.by joining gambling one can be refreshed mentally. this would be the best reason for joining taking participate in the joining.
I do differ here. Gambling must have invented to find entertainment but in thrilling way. If those thrilling entertainment gets you some profits also why not you can try for that. Moreover the basic thrilling nature of gambling is coming only with the involvement of money because you will not find it serious if it is not at all dealing with money.

But when gamblers go for gambling with the attitude of money is everything, they are losing all the benefits of gambling like they will not get their mental disturbances relieved and also making profit from it most of the time is not happening.
1219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fun seeking gamblers vs profit seeking gamblers on: August 11, 2017, 03:13:25 PM
I am very happy with your way, indeed it is one way to anticipate that we can avoid the stress of gambling. Not everyone thinks like that, most greedy people who do not want to lose their money from gambling, so they fall very deep and poor
Yes those determination differentiates successful gamblers from the rest of gamblers. The choices always in front of all the gamblers but going for the right one is not feasible from the beginning days of gambling for most of the gamblers. After many frustrations, people are switching over to fun seeking mode of gambling.

All profit seeking gamblers are not greedy still almost all the profits seeking gamblers are facing frustrations as this type of gambling is not at all possible for any level of gambler.
1220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: August 11, 2017, 02:09:55 PM
definitely, Bitcoin will survive at least 100 years because of its credibilities and acceptabilities. day by day It is gaining massive popularity across the world. many people are getting financially benefitted from this system. when it becomes a profitable platform then people will use this system. so Bitcoin will also last according to its acts.
Yes, after witnessing how smoothly bitcoin ecosystem has implemented segwit last week, I am sure in future, we are going to see, bitcoin will make itself to be versatile enough to conquer this world by providing all economy related services. When bitcoin is capable of updating as per requirements and challenges, why we need to doubt about its survival.

Not just for another 100 years, we can expect bitcoin to stay with us for millenniums. Bitcoin may not stay for ever with same specifications how it is today, but the core concepts will sustain for ever.
