1201  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive RockMiner R-Box Setup [HD] on: July 28, 2014, 05:30:18 AM
I still can't get this R-Miner too solo mine.

I am using Windows 7 64bit with cgminer 4.4.2.

I get the "waiting for work to be available from pools." It satys there for about 30-60 seconds then goes to a blck box with a blinking cursor.

I have this as my bat: cgminer.exe -o http://my computer ip with wallet:port -u user -p pass

I am trying to solo mine from a different computer to where the wallet is at.

Not trying to solo mine BTC just other Sha coins.

1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: July 28, 2014, 03:49:32 AM
Also found a problem in Keccak not running at full speed which is fixed.

I'm doing a rebuild on 5.5 and when complete I'll get it uploaded.

This build is going to have both nvMiner55.exe and nvMiner65.exe in the zip file with proper support dll.

I'd suggest upgrading to the latest nVidia drivers and running the nvMiner65.exe as it has been running a bit faster.

You can leave it as nvMiner65.exe or rename to nvMiner.exe if you have batch files already setup.

Carlo

PS just a heads up in case you want to check your version of drivers.  I currently run the latest greatest (including betas)

BTW, give a thanks to MrSatann who has been testing this with me on IRC.

v1.2U-D6b is posted at http://www.cudamining.cc/url/releases

Remember it contains both 5.5 and 6.0 CUDA versions so watch the file names.

I am running the 6.0 CUDA version and here are a few updates for 2 algo's I am running. These both have 5 750ti's on each maching with 340.43 driver. Both machines have cards at factory overclock.

Whirl Coin: previous on the first D6b nvminer was getting about 21,100 kh/s now at 21,550
X13 Coin (W8 Coin): previous on djm34 c54 was getting about 9,720 kh/s now at 9,890-9,910 kh/s

EDIT: For some reason still having reject issues on Whirl Coin at Dwarf Pool. My accepted rate is 807/1201 for 67.19%
Went back on djm version of Whirl Coin. Accepted rate is better but also they come a lot faster. After a few minutes already over 807 accepted shares where as the D6b version took about 40-45 minutes to get that many.

Kinda weird.

I have finally got all 3 of my cards up and running (280X, 270X and 270) for the last 2 and a half days but haven't found a block. Before I was only running the 280X and was finding a block a day. My speed before with the 280x was about 910,000 now it is 2,096,277.

@ cayars

I updated to your new version and tried the whirlcoin

your version 17,200 kh/s
original ver   19,300

Can't remember who put out the original version.

Also it seemed like my rig was real laggy running yours on this one.

I am on Windows 7 64 bit running 5 750ti's using driver 337.88

1209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: July 27, 2014, 03:27:36 AM
I'm not entirely sure either, but I think, POW stands for proof of work and POS stands for proof of stake. Proof of work I would understand as being mining, you mine the coin and then you keep the coins you mine. Proof of stake I think means, you buy a certain amount of coins and you are in a sense rewarded with interest on those coins. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, I too would love to know a bit more about these two concepts if someone could explain them in greater detail it would be much appreciated.

Regards,
DarkWolf

Really interesting with this community  Grin
I hope AnimeCoin will get brighter future. But, I don't understand is this POS coin or POW coin? Can someone tell me the detail of this coin, I want to know more before I'll invest in this coin Undecided

I meant, is AnimeCoin POW or POS coin or POW+POS? and why there are no GPU mining?  Sad
I just have 1 intel i3 can I get profit with that? BTW I really like with this community, and I really like anime  Tongue

As mentioned. This coin is easily mined with gpu's.

I can mine well over 200 blocks in a day. I mine it on and off. When the difficulty shoots up I stop mining so it lowers back down. I mined it for 1 day and a half straight and the difficulty shot up over 96.

I use Nvidia cards.

So I take it 5 pm ESDT was incorrect or was that part of the mystery?
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: July 26, 2014, 04:43:45 PM
Awesome. I didn't know where to make that change. My rig with AMD cards is up and running with all cards but not the Nvidia. Maybe I need to add a seperate wallet to the Nvidia rig?

To be clear, Every miner PC will create boolb folder (appdata/roaming/boolb) for blockchain storage and config files.
You need to add "thread_delay": 2000 for each miner PC, but you don't need another wallet.

Got it now.

Thank you so much for the help. That Boolberry thread is hard to follow sometimes with the technical stuff everywhere.
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: July 26, 2014, 04:11:56 PM
Anyone here mining Boolberry and if so what miner are you using?

I can't get mine to get going.

Linux or Windows?

On windows 7. Running the boolberry-opencl 0.2.0.28.

I did get it to run but it only picks up the first card (gpu 0 ). It shows "error:  CL_INVALID_VALUE" for the other cards. I am trying to mine with just gpu 1, 2 and 3 and leave gpu 0 idle.

You need to add this into your appdata > Roaming > boolb > miner_conf.json
Code:
"thread_delay" : 2000

Hope this help.  As already discussed here.

1. Try larger values for thread_delay in config file (ex. 2000). It's in milliseconds.
2. Set device_index to 1 and use 3 threads to mine.

Output like this
Code:
2014-Jul-21 12:56:01.052013 [miner 0][OCL 0/0] error:  CL_INVALID_VALUE
2014-Jul-21 12:56:01.054013 [miner 0][OCL 0/0] device index must me between 0 and 4294967295
actually means selected OpenCL platform has 0 GPU devices. It happens if you installed CPU only OpenCL drivers from Intel or AMD. It should be gone after you select nvidia platform. Anyway don't change device_index - it doesn't make any sense. So if you tried everything - reboot.

Tried - without restarting (10min for restart....) all combinations with device_index 0,1,2 and platform_index 0,1,2
Same result

PC is i5-2500, 1 750Ti card, win7 x64, 8GB ram drivers 337.88

Hey mbk.

I have 2 rigs. One AMD and one Nvidia.

When I run the miner it picks up only the first card on each machine and gives me the CL_INVALID_VALUE for the other cards. Is there a way to fix this? Also I read about -threads to assign the number of gpus but is there a way to only mine with cards 1,2, and 3 instead of 0,1,2,3?

I am not the best at this but do you mean make changes 1 and 2 in the "wild_keccak.cl and wild_keccak_multi.cl"?

Ok found it in appdata.

I get 2 cards now. Trying to get the third.

EDIT: Thanks mbk

Got them all going on the rig with the AMD cards. I am thinking I need this wallet on rig with Nvidia cards also. I was trying to mine from the Nvidia to the AMD rig. Maybe I need seperate wallets on each rig.

OpenCL miner
If you get "Critical:This software is old, please update" messages, get update from https://github.com/mbkuperman/boolberry-opencl

Thanks.

I can't compile to save my life. I'll wait for a windows release.

I am solo mining

mandatory question : did you update your old software yet ?

Too be honest I haven't seen a new update in this thread since this one was released: BoolberryOCL-20140719

I could have overlooked it.
