As a long time folder, I have stopped folding.. Why? Because for a long time GPU mining wasn't worth it, so I folded just for the hell of it. Then came ETH, with my 2 280x's and 1 290x I can make $7 per day before electric (and they were running folding anyway). So why should I fold and pay money when I can mine ETH and actually make a little bit!!!
When ETH dies and the GPUs can't support themselves I'll be back.
I also used to GPU fold when the price was at 250 satoshi in early 2015 but as the price fell it cost more in bills than it made in profit. These days i have a single i5 folding away for purpose of research as cpus cost near nothing to run anyways. I still follow this coin and might develop something for it later this year.

Is there any specific news to drive up the price of the litecoin? I know the litecoin is controlled by very few people.
BTC is going up so by effect LTC is too.

Get your LTC while they are cheap

Buying LTC for anything less than 0.01 is a good deal considering it has gone up to 0.04 before

Other forces come into play here, so anybody who is looking at what innovation does LTC offer is on the wrong trail.
Lol if you judge a coin by its innovation then BTC should be $0. What the feck did my poor eyes just read? Bitcoin is THE ONE INNOVATOR who founded this entire scene. The reason why you and me are here in the first place. LOL! If Bitcoin is not insanely innovative then I don't know what is. Bitcoin is NOT innovative compared to some altcoins which have a range of features. Compared to regular currency bitcoin is innovative but not compared to the tech in some alts. Bitcoin is not succesful because of its tech rather because of its adoption. Bitcoin was the most innovative who made all this possible thus nothing comes close to its innovation power yet, imo Maybe Ethereum or something similar will be able to enable something along the lines of that, but there aren't any altcoins who have done anything even remotely close to what Bitcoin has done. I think you misunderstand, bitcoin is innovative but the pow technology it uses it ancient and will fail in the future. Tech ways there are more advanced things in crypto space such as POS, instant transaction and annoymous transactions. Was it so difficult to understand what I wanted to say? And the guy quoting POS above, must be some kid or something. POS is dead baby, just ask Peercoin. Yes peercoin is dead that must be why it has a $10 million market cap and solid development.

But Litecoin is a very sexy coin, swedish girl! It can be regarded as Silver if Bitcoin is Gold. Understand? Not to mention chinas bitcoin. Chinese millionares have a lot of money to blow, wonder what would happen if that went into LTC

Sit and be patient, it is highly likely that this year or next litecoin will go above $48. Good things come to those who wait. It is unfortunate some are unable to tell shitcoins apart from the real deal.
A copy coin cannot ever be the real deal. It's just Xeroxed. Lol with that logic 95% of crypto should be worth $0 as most crypto is forked from other coins. Copy or not i think litecoin is here to stay, volume is nice, price is increasing and btc/ltc ratio is rising nicely. LTC was launched fairly which gives it an advantage over the shitty IPO/ICO coins you see today which exist only to make the developer rich.

Litecoin has been increasing quite a bit lately. Price has gone up from $3.20 to $3.45 in a day. Those who are not buying into litecoin are going to regret it. Later this year litecoin will reclaim its position as altcoin king mark my words.
Bullshit. A King would be capable of surpassing it's former ATH, as Bitcoin has done. The remaining rest we do label "Shitcoins". Sit and be patient, it is highly likely that this year or next litecoin will go above $48. Good things come to those who wait. It is unfortunate some are unable to tell shitcoins apart from the real deal.

Both have good long term prospects i would invest in both.

LTC is strong and mature coin it thrives on adoption and use rather than hype. LTC price and BTC/LTC ratio and both starting to go up, i will be stocking up on 10K LTC as soon as my deposit clears.

I know it is easy to complain but i get the feeling this coin is going nowhere. Every single month promises are made in google meetup which are then broken by the next meeting. Several projects such as off-chain distribution system, online store and other projects have been canceled. Distributions are always running late and coin price has been in downward spiral for a month. Dev disappears for weeks on end and comes back with little apology. I understand that foldingcoin is not peoples entire lives but it takes just 5 minutes to post updates on this forum so people dont assume you have abandoned the project.
Do i think FLDC will fail? - probably not but i think its best days are behind it. I hope FLDC will prove me wrong in the long term but i have my doubt.

Eth does have value but at its current price it is overvalued. I can see eth in the $1 range longterm.

Litecoin price is up 6% today, volume is at 2.7 million which is more than double the normal amount. Something is going on.
