end of the year (2017) start of Chinese New Year. lots of FUD, lots of ban/regulation most of which were lies, a huge rise in one month from $10k to $20k which is a 100% rise! all that needed a correction. granted in a normal market it wouldn't have gone down that much but this is bitcoin we are talking about!

anything is possible with bitcoin but another 100% rise in only 1 months seems unlikely and hopefully it won't happen. a solid but slow rise is better.

and it is not purchasing bitcoin, it probably is their cold storage and they are mainly consolidating inputs.

i think you should stop "following" and "advertising" pump and dump groups because they never end well for you. doesn't matter if you are the newbie follower of these scammers or if you are the scammer pumper themselves. you all will be dissolved by a big whale or a bigger group with more experience.

it has always been a nice project and full of potential for rising. the drop was all over the market and obviously Waves followed the rest.
the lower price of it is also creating a lot of room for a nice pump of this coin because it is always so much easier to pump a cheap coin than to pump an already too expensive coin.

the numbers above are circulating supply meaning the coins that are released, distributed, mined,... for example there are only 42 coins of 42coin!

in comparison the current circulating supply of bitcoin is a little over 16,800,000

there is nothing wrong. it is just supply and demand. when there is only 42 coins available the price of 1 whole coin goes up. when there is 1 billion coins available, the price goes down. it is supply and demand.

it really depends on you and your plans and what you believe in.

what "I" believe in is bitcoin. so obviously i keep the profit in bitcoin. for example when price drops i buy more bitcoin and any profit that i ever make from any trades will be stored in bitcoin.
my plan is that i want to have a very large amount of bitcoin in the near future (a couple of years)

never store in Tether. you can use it for a very short time or use it to transfer fiat between exchanges if possible but NEVER use it for long time because it is a very risky and shady coin.

there is not only one but in fact multiple altcoins that currently have much higher price than bitcoin! it is actually pretty interesting because they are random altcoins with 0 usage which have a higher price ONLY because of their supply. it is really a simple supply and demand thing!

for what it's worth bittrex is also a scam website. check out their announcement on bitcointalk. they robbed a lot of people last year.

very true, and i agree with it but you should also not forget that you shouldn't think just because some project is being advertised a lot and seems pretty, then it must be a good investment opportunity.
most of them are only a pretty front with a lot of problems at their heart and they can not stay high in the long run. and unfortunately these days the market is crawling with them and some even have pretty high prices.

i don't see any reason for this trend to really reverse. we may see some drops in form of bear traps soon during the uprise but i believe this rise can be sustained and we will see the 5 digits again soon.
i think most people are watching the $10k price as a major resistance to be broken first.

it is not because of any "specs" it is only because of its price and how it changes that some people lose the incentive to use it as a currency. in other words it is the volatility that's causing it.

for the time being litecoin seems to be on the rise and no matter what you guess, the trend seems to not agree with you. and with all these useless LTC forks that are upcoming in the near future i believe there may even be more rises as people are FOMO buying litecoin because they first see the free money in their near future and second they see the rise itself and feel left out.

what matters is which coin can go up higher. the percentages %% are important here. and sometimes BCH is getting pumped hard and sometimes BTG is getting pumped hard and sometimes some other shitcoin.
for example recently BTG had a huge 100% pump after the dip but BCH had a tiny 33% pump. only numbers talk here

that is not true all the time about everything. it is only true about some things that will go up eventually not those that used to be high and now are dropping.

and right now the altcoins you see dropping hardest are those which you must stay away from because these are the biggest bubbles that are bursting. buying of these coins should only happen in case there is a pump which is not going to be for months.

i don't have enough information about these numbers but lets say you are correct.
1000 ETH costs about $10,000 and not everyone is going to invest that much in a volatile altcoin that has a lot of issues and may drop hard. some whales may do it and the ethereum foundation obviously has millions in their pockets which will do it but not regular people. so the unfairness continues.

not to mention all the miners who are going to pull out and go away for good. and a miner could simply build a rig with $1000 and mine ETH and a lot of other coins at the same time. with $10k you can build 10 good rigs and mine a lot more than 14% per year...

nobody can help you identify the reason because there was no "fall" as you said to have a reason.
price is currently at $8300 according to Bitsamp and the changes in the past 72 hours (3 days) are less than 7%. you can not call this "continuation of the fall"!!!

a better thing to say is to tell people to stop caring what the government in some country said and did to some shady exchange that was laundering money. or even stop caring about what the government said about bitcoin.

we created bitcoin to not want to listen to what the "government" tells us to do.

speaking of price surge for an altcoin due to some news, it usually does not matter what the news itself is. what matters is that how the community reacts to the news and of course depends on how the news is spread and if everyone hears it and also it depends on timing.
if all these 3 factors are satisfied then you can expect a nice surge in the price of that altcoin.

there are a lot of coins out there which you can earn a lot more profit only if you open your mind and start looking outside the box. the box being the top 10 or so coins.
