1201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Bad Exchanges on: March 07, 2020, 06:54:48 PM
I'm just trying to do my part, I know many won't care and some don't even bother to read anymore, they are just here for bounties, here is for those who cares about reading and learning.

Stay away from the following exchanges, I have bad experience with them already and I can still see few people getting caught in same trap

1. Vindax
2. Systemkoin
3. P2PB2B
4. Latoken

Not just for fake volumes and watched trade but scams, lose of funds, swapping of withdrawal addresses, you name it, have a great day
A lot of accusations have been said about P2PB2B and Latoken but i dont see any reason a genuine crypto enthusiast or investor will choose to Vindax and Systemkoin which are opened not nore than 2 years.

I will be happy if the OP could include tagz and coinhe either.

1203  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which wallet for a long term storage? on: March 06, 2020, 05:34:12 PM
Thanks for ALL suggestions guys, I really appreciate that  Cheesy

I'll use a paper wallet and try to teach her how to keep the BTC safe, my niece is very young yet, and this is just something different and useful that I'd like to gift her, I remember when I was young and my mother gave me some money on a bank account but just for use when I reach 18 years, and this was awesome and teach me great stuff about money

And this time is with BTC

Unfortunately I don't have a hardware wallet yet, but I'm planning to buy in a few weeks, and with your tips I can have a better idea how to do a long term storage

Thanks  Grin Grin Grin
Such idea is really good and i hope every crypto enthusiast can use such a strategy to keep some fortunes for their kids.
With that been said, paper wallet is easy and cost you almost nothing to generate or create one but the most very important things is how to securely create it. I will advise you to read the best way to do it.
Good luck.

Can you recommend a Bitcoin wallet? I've heard about BitPay. Is it OK?

Thank you!
If you're thinking of integrating bitcoin wallet to your site, i will advise you to make use of btcpayserver which is open source, KYC or fees is also not a problem because alot of people complain about BitPay last year. However, i dont know if the situation is under control now but it better to take necessary precautions.

Note : you can check https://www.blockonomics.co/merchants#/page1

Thank you.

I need a wallet to receive bitcoin and exchange it for fiat
You're welcome.
In the meantime, you can check the list of all crypto currency payment processor we have on github that offer such services in other to the right one that will suit your need but i will advise you to ask question on this forum before choosing any one part of the name already mentioned before.
1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: March 06, 2020, 03:02:12 PM
I really like the idea of having the backing of GOLD. We don't need projects that just have tokens and that are backed by nothing. If any coin wants to have success in the future it must be backed by some physical product.
Can you please post stats of your ICO?
You should take the time to research this project carefully as I have not heard of any ICO up to now. In fact, this project depends heavily on the value of real gold and not on the price of Bitcoin so this is an independent project. I have known this project for the past few months and I am very excited about how it works.

Hopefully I will see this coin in more places and should list it at big exchanges to let people know of the existence of this project.
You make a good point but there's nothing complicated about this project and i believe RAmenFSM will understand the importance of this project if he read through their site.
Concern big exchange listing, Gold is already listed on some popular exchange site and capital market which i believe is still good at the moment.

Can you please post stats of your ICO?
There wasn't any ICO. The project is self-funded. Physical golds were bought by the team behind the project. Then they sold tokens in the market (exchanges and their own marketplace.)
At the beginning of the project, they bought 7200 gram of gold and issued 7200 gold tokens. Until now, they have bought more gold, Now there are more than 11,000 gram of physical gold stored in BullionStar's vaults.

Wow Shocked This project is really funded by itself and does not rely on the others. There is no partnership that they run, but this project is able to develop well in the cryptocurrencies market
Undoubtedly yes, the project was successful launch without any partnership and initial offering. Besides, it was well developed than all the project in the crypto market that claimed to be gold backed project and it all because this project team consist of individuals which are pretty good in the line of blockchain IT, Technology innovation, Economy, investment etc.

it seems that there will be a lot of interest in this token because it will be tantamount to holding its real gold.
Yes, the project is gaining more interest everyday which the reason why the project minted more gold.

1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Temtum to be the first crypto to be used as a national currency ! on: March 05, 2020, 06:12:26 PM
I'm really wow with the news the OP post but I will be happy if you could provide an article link to the whole procedure so we could know how it happen and the reason why the Angullia government choose the crypto in subject.

Was not Petro the first crypto to be used as national currency? it was founded 2 years ago in Venezuela.
And we need more information about this news,
Is not it too hasty to announce Temtum as another crypto to be used as a national currency if we do not see a real thing or partnership from both sides? a photo can not be used as a proof of partnership.
Usually, there should be an MOU or legalization certificate from the country. Meeting with someone else is not that hard, saw a few people did that before.

Petro is not a widely used crypto - it’s questionable if it’s even a cryptocurrency
Aside that, the coin was created and issued by the government of Venezuela while Temtum was created by an individuals.

1210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading vs. Investing. on: March 04, 2020, 05:06:11 PM
Some people may trust their trading talents a lot more and some people just want to out pace the inflation I suppose, this is not one or the other option you could potentially do both of them as well. Like let's say you have 10k dollars in your portfolio, you can invest 5k of it long term and do not touch it but you can also trade with the other 5k to see if you could make more profit or not.

This would also allow you to see if you are a better investor or a better trader as well since you would share your capital equally between them and you will see how much each grew in certain period of time and compare how much you made with each method and see how much has more money in the end.
People can do both as you said but i wont people that dont have enough to trade crypto currency becausd when calculating exchange fee and bot fee which was the major way people make successful trade these days trading is no go area for small fund traders. With that been said, with the halving occasion coming up i think investment is the right strategy to be use.
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think, India lifting the ban on cryptocurrencies will impact BTC Price? on: March 04, 2020, 12:57:27 PM
We think this is huge for the crypto world looking at the current BTC price graph.

Comment below your opinions.
Firstly of all, i want the OP to understand that India don't totally ban cryptocurrencies because there are actually some part of India where crypto trading, investment etc are allow.
Meanwhile, if we put the present situations of India economy into consideration, theres opportunity for bitcoin price to experience a positive signal if the India governments totally lift up the ban on cryptocurrencies on the area affected.
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Klaytn ( kakaotalk) project on: March 04, 2020, 11:22:57 AM
Probably Korean crypto community is fully aware about Klaytn but I think in the other parts of world people don't have much understanding about Klaytn so the team of this project will definitely do something to establish their project. Promotion on massive graph is much necessary hopefully Klaytn team has good strategies to promote their project.
seems like you are right on this one mate, because i am a user of Kakaotalk also but have not learn about this project not until i cross this topic today.

maybe there is a need for worldwide advertising like using Youtube or other social media platform to increase their popularity because the way i look at this projecy it seems to be a profiteering if people learn the right way.
specially those gamer and other social media enthusiast.
Maybe because this project is still very new, so dev has not entered into a bigger marketing stage yet. I can see that the wallet is still in beta. If everything is ready I'm sure there will be a big marketing
No, the project is totally not a new project and if I could remember correctly people talk about the project when the Kakao team wanted to establish it then but i believe the same why the project is not popular is because it lacks proper advertisement and new innovation.
1213  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How would I start an investment fund that invests in small businesses? on: March 03, 2020, 08:53:14 PM
As said by CristianOff, the idea is interesting but to none crypto enthusiast because crypto enthusiasts will choose to accumulate more coins and hold till the new ATH is achieved than raising a fund only for someone to create a small business while they receive something like a dividend. But, you may have a good response if you choose to post your offer on the local board while you and people do the deal and signing in person.
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth is no different than a fiat currency? on: March 03, 2020, 07:46:16 PM
https://offthechain.substack.com/p/eth-is-no-different-than-a-fiat-currency

I just read the article above and would like to know whats your take on this. For me it seems true that Bitcoin is much more decentralized than Ethereum and so, much different than fiat money compared to Ethereum, still Ethereum aim is to reduce Eth issuance and it's much more transparent than fiat money. I would say Eth it's not so different as Bitcoin but still very different than a fiat currency and more decentralized.

Most of ETH was printed and sold in ICO for a low price.
Actually, it some ETH was printed and sold during ICO because ETH curretly have no max supply but have fixed amount of ether to be print per year though and this is the reason why it was compare to fiat currency by the OP.

NOTE : Check it on capital market and i will that ETH total supply is remove.

It is very different then Bitcoin and also different then how fiat is made. Fiat is also printed, but sold for fixed price that decrease over time.  Point of ETH is to secure asset platform. Point of fiat is money. Same as point of Bitcoin is/was being money.
No doubt about that but ETH have some features used/done by the team just the same way the government operate in printing fiat currency.
Try and read the article posted by OP.
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: March 03, 2020, 06:14:29 PM
this one lived up to their standards. we have seen so many precious metal or gold backed projects but tell you what! you can count those projects that are real. maybe only 1-5% of them have real backing. or should i say 1 in 100! if this will continue in the next coming years, people will gonna resort to their platform to have gold holdings because they know if they can't possess it in physical form, at least have the virtual gold in portfolio.
People will definitely use this project soon when the market rally completely take over the market in other keep their profit intact and also posses physical gold virtually and with the team of this project so much experienced in IT, economy, blockchain technology, investment etc there's a chance in the future for the token to be swap for physical gold.
I support you, the use of cryypto with blokchain technology makes it easy to buy or sell, it's just that many people out there don't believe in using crypto they say that it's dangerous and high risk, they are just blind in the progress of the current era, that's is a mission that must be solved by the gold project inviting people out there who don't understand the blockchain technology to be able to trust and enjoy convenience
Aside the ease of buying/selling, there many benefit ones can get through crypto and an example is Gold which make holding of gold easy and anonymous.
With that been said, we can't totally blame people that somehow dont believe in crypto because they also have their own reason and our own duty is to open their eyes so they could ignore the FUD they heard about crypto.

I would like to know if buying Gold token through exchange site also have limited level of purchase per person?

No, the limits are only for the maximum amount we can sell you.
Regards,
Support Team @ Digital Gold
https://gold.storage

Thanks for the clarification.
I knew some limitation must be used to avoid price manipulation and to make sure the token maintain the same price to physical gold.
1216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] GOLD Stablecoin – $200,000 - payouts in BTC, ETH, GOLD on: March 01, 2020, 04:43:04 PM

1217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guys, be aware of a new scam! Stay safe with your funds! on: March 01, 2020, 04:10:25 PM
As the crypto community become smart, scammers are not just sitting there. They are making new plans to scam people. Recently a smart scam idea they whelp and that is youtube live streaming! Lots of people are falling those scams even one of my crypto mentors shared that link to participate!

Scammers are hacking youtube channels that have at least 10K subscribers to 80K! Then they collect some famous crypto meetup or interview videos! Later they make live streaming with that downloaded video, and announce a giveaway of 100K BTC or 100K ETH, BCH, XRP and so on! Can you imagine how smart this shit idea is? However, at the corner or left side of that live streaming they add a live transaction banner where you can see that if you send 1 Ethereum, you will get 5 or 10 Ethereum instantly!

If you ever fall in that trap means you are done, you fall in the scam and lost your money forever! Guys, be aware, always check a coin's official twitter handle to verify every giveaway! Don't fall in the scam, let scammers cry and die!

Scammers are very creative people, lol Smiley Bursting with new ideas every day Smiley
Bow before these powerful minds and send them some ether just to show your respect for their creativity, hehe  Grin
Scammers are always creating varieties of new scam technique but the last time i checked their techniques only scam people who are greed, inpatient and crypto newbie investors because if something is too good to be true then is total a scam. However, there's nothing new these days and what they do is rebuild/improve old strategies.

I'm not the type that brag but the BM respond should be enough to make you understand that there's possibility limited purchase also on exchange site since the project team cant sell or mint Gold token more than the gold saved in secure vault and to maintain or save the token price from manipulation there most be some kind of restrictions to achieve that.

I didn't mention it because it's obvious, ofc you can't buy more than total supply (be it gold token or other crypto).

What I meant was, one user's buy and sells on exchange/marketplace affect the other users actions. If one buys 100 gm gold with ether then the other user will have less gold tokens to buy.
Thats correct and this is the reason why i strongly believe some restriction will be use on the exchange site either.

Gold token correlates the amount of stored in vault, that should be enough to avoid price manipulation and if someone sells at less than gold's spot price, it's their choice and none of team's or anyone's business.
Yes and no because the price of the token can still be manipulate despite the amount of physical gold saved in vault correlate with minted Gold token.
Meanwhile, it the business of the Gold team make sure the token price is intact with the price of physical gold in other to fulfil their promises per the project.

I would like to know if buying Gold token through the exchange site also have a limited level of purchase per person?
In exchanges, you don't buy gold tokens directly from the exchange. You buy gold tokens from other users of the exchange. So, buying gold tokens through exchanges is the same as buying other tokens. As long as there is a seller at a certain price, you can buy the tokens at that price. Cannot say the exact amount. Because it depends on traders.
I understand that buying Gold token is the same as buying other tokens but I'm asking this question since the project team also offer liquidity support for the buying and selling in other to make the Gold price intact with the price of physical gold so I'm thinking maybe there's some sort of limit on buying/selling of the token on exchange in other to achieve the daily physical gold price.

Ok so I checked on their official marketplace, and this is what it shows.

About 11.5 BTC is the max amount of gold you can buy from there, on exchange it would be different but I'd rather choose official marketplace than an exchange.
But, would like to know if the limited 11BTC is also applicable for exchange because of the upcoming rally market.

I doubt it, that limit is dynamic both on marketplace and exchanges, it depends on buy/sells.

ps: sorry for long quote, it's pain on mobiles to trim.

This is one of the gold-backed projects that has real gold in possession. So it is understandable if they have very limited number of gold coins because they depend on what they have. At least we know that they are giving legit numbers here and not just getting from thin air.
You're right because most of the 97% of crypto project which claimed to be backed by Gold never provided their vault certificate or live audit report for verification.

But are they going to be listed in other popular exchanges?
It already listed on some popular exchange site an example bitforex and capital market.

1220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: One Altcoin to invest on: February 29, 2020, 12:22:49 PM
0.2 BTC in hand.. One Altcoin to invest? Please share your thoughts.
After the negative statement made about the upcoming halving and the attitude of the governments and institutions towards privacy coins. Crypto investment has changed and some of the altcoins that are doing pretty good before now have poor performance.
I will just advise the OP not to choose controversial and centralized altcoin which BCH, BSV, XRP, NEO, EOS falls in that classifications but altcoin like ETH, KMD, NRG, DASH, MIXIN and BNB are good for ling term investment.
