There is a button on the upper left corner called patrol.(it can be activated in settings) I thought it was for everyone to take a look at newbies posts and report them freely if they are spam.
I didn't knew about those "patrollers"...
Personally, I think this patrol button is an interesting idea, and who is willing to help can just report there.

Updating: If you use Ledger nano, you do not need to use Google Chrome anymore. That´s good for privacy. You can download Ledger Live

You can always upgrade to 64bit, but that require wiping out all of your data so make sure to backup everything on your comp before you proceed (if you do).
Certain processors are incapable of running 64 bit windows. I have a couple of old Samsungs that won't do it. You should be able to interact with a Ledger through Electrum which should run on a 32 bit machine - https://support.ledgerwallet.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005161925-Set-up-and-use-ElectrumI don't know how much functionality you give up with that though. You actually will have more functionality using Electrum You will lose functionality with altcoins... For Ethereum you could use MEW. However it was not discontinued yet, so you are good so far with the Chrome Spyware app.

Because I think these discussions are useless , as everyone has their opinion already formed and will not change their minds... Including me lol Have a nice Sunday.
I am struggling not to give you a merit just because I agree. Political discussion as normally practised is useless to convince people, is more like a sport in which everyone feels they won the match because they littered the internet a bit more with their political propaganda and empty headed arguments. I am living that too much nowadays... 100% useless, nobody ever change their minds, its not a rational discussion. Right now in Brazil we are living Presidential Elections. The country is very divided. Even families members are discussing and fighting. About 30-40% the country wants Lula President (who openly supports Maduro and Venezuela, who are "fighting USA imperialism"), and 30-40% wants anyone else, and about 20-30% doesnt care and will not vote. Image how much discussions are we all having here lol

Wouldn't it be easier to hire a moderator for ivory tower? I think some people would do that for free, as there are few posts there..

As far as I understand, Lightweight node are like SPV wallets, which include all mobile wallets. They are very important for adoption. If you want to buy a coffee, you don't to run a full node on your phone. Just use some wallet like coinomi/samourai/mycellium etc, scan the QRCode and it´s done. Even 1 confirmation is OK. Running a full node is important for people who own business and want to validade all transactions by themselves, without relying on third party to know if he has received is money or not. These kind of services were even described in bitcoin whitepaper, at Chapter 8 - Simplified Payment Verification (SPV) 8. Simplified Payment Verification It is possible to verify payments without running a full network node. A user only needs to keep a copy of the block headers of the longest proof-of-work chain, which he can get by querying network nodes until he's convinced he has the longest chain, and obtain the Merkle branch linking the transaction to the block it's timestamped in. He can't check the transaction for himself, but by linking it to a place in the chain, he can see that a network node has accepted it, and blocks added after it further confirm the network has accepted.
As such, the verification is reliable as long as honest nodes control the network, but is more vulnerable if the network is overpowered by an attacker. While network nodes can verify transactions for themselves, the simplified method can be fooled by an attacker's fabricated transactions for as long as the attacker can continue to overpower the network. One strategy to protect against this would be to accept alerts from network nodes when they detect an invalid block, prompting the user's software to download the full block and alerted transactions to confirm the inconsistency. Businesses that receive frequent payments will probably still want to run their own nodes for more independent security and quicker verification
Personally, i have a mobile wallet with few money in it. Like the same amount of money I would hold in my physical wallet. if you are going to travel abroad, it may be handy to have a mobile with some money, as you can always find some place that accepts bitcoin and use it.

The ignore button is great. You can ignore complete bords like the ANN and ICOs, and you can ignore posters with bad posting habits. OK, maybe they will create the odd useful post, but why spend time picking through the garbage in the hope tht you will find one. Ignoring the OP in a thread greys out the title, so it's easy to skip that thread when you are looking for posts to reward. It's sad for the good posters who may be active in tht thread, but in life you need to choose your friends carefully, society judges you by your friends and associates.
theymos for some reason does not want to create this feature, sort replies for merit. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3405573.0I remember you talking about a common ignore list few weeks ago. Maybe this could be interesting. It could work like the trust system. trusted members could create this ignore list, which could be imported by anyone. And updated easily by these trusted members. Then campaign Managers would not accept users from this common ignore list , as few people would read them.

I agree with you, as government as often inefficient in creating new technologies like this. However cryptocurrencies already worth a lot of money, so private companies are already interested in investing in related technologies such as quantum cryptography/computers.
quantum computers will not break privatekeys or anything like that...
I think in the long term quantum computers will be good for cryptocurrencies. I think this is all fud.
I would like to hear opinions from core devs about this subject, because all I read about it is just fud.

Merit purchase is against rules. You will be soon red tagged.
Also, this board is about technical discussion, not a marketplace

First of all, be careful,. never tell how much money you have online, if you have a large amount of money like you have .
Second, don't store all that money in a webwallet.
Third, are you sure you have 10 bitcoin? It's like 65000 dollars
Get your mnemonic phrase and immediately restore your funds in a safer wallet, such as Electrum.
Download it on your desktop

The most common and better solution is use one address for each client/order
It's more organized and simple. You will never run out of addresses, don't worry about that. So there is no need to use a limited number of addresses
