Last time I tried, last month, the client would not connect to any nodes. I think I only had 1000 coins or so anyway.
I'll try one more time. Is the wallet in the OP the correct one?
Also if I remember there was really not any info in the wallet to give info on where the chain is, has that been addressed?

Coinz!!!!
Thank You Dev! I still don't know why the wallet says to transfer all coins as soon as possible after the check import though?

Over 500k xmr on the ask book. Most I've seen since the xmr market opened there. Lots of coins on polo and someones jammed a 100k ask in at 0.00225. The games begin.
Yea, I know it doesn't mean much having only one relatively small market (and a few other tinier markets like bittrex and hitbtc), but the buy/ask ratio is looking a bit shitty at the moment. 175 BTC / 500k XMR is about 0.0003 BTC/XMR ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) The reason to manipulate the ratio is to be able to buy low. The wall at 225k might be a legit offer to sell (albeit at a double price than today's market) but anything above that is irrelevant. Similarly, a huge amount in bids may be a warning sign. Unnecessary counter-party risk. He should store his own XMR.
True, but maybe this are peanuts for him. You have some big whales from btc among the owners of xmr. The thought may also go as follows: "1) If Polo is safe, XMR are safe and it does not really matter. If Polo is hacked, XMR there is lost, but the coin either 2) suffers a lethal blow that the value of all other XMR is lost as well and it does not really matter (even the attacker cannot sell the coins stolen) or 3) the value is reduced so much that it's possible to by the same amount back from the market at an insignificant BTC cost and it does not really matter. For a person operating in 6-7 figures, it's difficult to enter into a playing field so small where $100k makes you among the TOP-3 owners in the world, which is obviously crazy, and obviously available to one more person max, since when he starts to buy, the price starts to rise. I think XMR can survive a Polo hack. Polo has been hacked and that is why I trust them. I keep these emails. Dear Users of Poloniex, As you may have heard, a hacker recently used an exploit to steal 12.3% of the Bitcoins on Poloniex. Details on how this happened can be found in this announcement post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=499580.0In order to keep Poloniex solvent, all BTC balances were deducted yesterday by 12.3%. No further deductions will occur. As soon as I have time to put it up, you will be able to view exactly how much BTC you are missing on your Balances page. I deeply regret that this happened, and am committed to repaying the debt and making Poloniex absolutely secure. Any exchange fees collected since the incident will be used to pay back the debt at regular intervals. Exchange fees will not be raised. Additionally, shares of Poloniex may be issued, the profits from which would be used to repay the debt and hire highly qualified security experts. The timing and details of this, and indeed whether it will occur, have not been decided. I invite you all to give your input on these decisions by voting in the following poll and, if desired, leaving a comment: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=500578.0Since the incident occurred, the way withdrawals and order creation are handled has been redesigned so that all such requests are added to a global command queue, then processed sequentially. More automated checks for consistency of balances have been added. Larger percentages of coins have been moved into cold storage. And as of today, I am searching for additional developers to bolster the security of Poloniex as much as possible, and as soon as possible. Here are some specific details about the hacker. BTC addresses used to withdraw stolen funds to: 1ABnAg2nK3M6YKmaYtL5EBgdp1VQGyTbjL 18sdMt7ENfU3Weq7vy1Qdqr3skgd47WEbe 1Ktq7TE3J5vZ3c99M5weqKfFcNkHQdqPrq 1C1acLbFh3KaKgdFUBuCV8oD7ucqUaLLLY IP addresses used to place the withdrawals: 61.161.143.175 126.11.105.45 122.143.3.144 60.10.69.65 Email addresses used to log in: 373287211@qq.comgasthalter@qq.comgroup_124@qq.comjohnimmi_234@qq.comliuxiaohong_819@qq.compeabody_129@qq.comstevencohen_998@qq.comwangweida_123@qq.comThe total BTC stolen was about 97. The addresses will add up to more than that; this is because the hacker needed to deposit BTC several times in order to use the exploit. Finally, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude toward the many people who have shown their support, who have vouched for my character, and who have offered help. In this time of extreme and continual stress and worry, I truly appreciate it. I will do everything in my power to return your funds to you as soon as possible, and I am grateful for your patience in the meantime. Sincerely, Tristan Dear Users of Poloniex,
As you may have heard, an attempt to hack into Poloniex's hot wallet server via social engineering was made several weeks ago on May 3rd. The attack was successfully repelled and no funds were taken, but as a precaution, the old BTC hot wallet had to be considered compromised. This means that any BTC or XCP addresses generated on or before May 3rd should NOT be used for deposits.
This email is notify anyone still using such addresses that funds deposited there will soon no longer be recoverable. Future deposits to such addresses may be LOST. Please do NOT send any more BTC or XCP to any deposit address generated on or before May 3rd. Any BTC or XCP address currently appearing on your Balances page is valid.
Thanks, Tristan D'Agosta Poloniex, LLC

Party at the castle. I'll be bringing a box of Cohiba torpedo's, been waiting for a special occasion to open it... So, where's the castle at ? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) A google search for "bitcoin castle" will show you quite well where's that, just.. you may need an invitation to actually get in there ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Got something against Estonia? Might get "Interesting" there. I hope not. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-31528981

Same, uptrend is making me feel good as well since my BTC is gone and i cannot accumulate any more, I might sell a tiny bit XMR on spikes and buy back cheaper.
I'm not trusting my XMR on any exchange. Even though Polo is my most trusted. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Considering what just occurred we need somewhere with some serious track record.
That's the best we got so far. At this point in crypto it doesn't matter. Look at all the exchanges that have gone under with a good reputation. Since crypto is so young, we really cant be picky. We know the risks since day 1 and the rewards that come if all turns out good. So your argument to use a sketchy exchange is we are gambling on crypto so we should roll the dice and compound the risk?

good news! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I've never heard about this exchange. Do you have experience with it? I've been following this exchange since the beginning and initial offering. There was some issues at first with the coders but halibit stepped up and has been working hard to get the exchange running for about a year now. Alcurex has its own coin called microcoin, so far halibit has been transparent and has not given up. He could have been done a long time ago but he has been persistent. It is based off Finland and the exchnage is currently working on trying to get USD EUR BTC licensed exchange. Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=458732.0Never heard of them. Are the Owners known or another anon exchange that'll get miraculously hacked" Ala Coin-EX, Coinmarket... Considering what just occurred we need somewhere with some serious track record. Agreed.

yes this makes a bit nervous also. In Nxt, it usually turned out that some mistake had been made, but it is something that needs to be considered.
was/is there a leak in the webwallet landing page? usually, if such a thing occurs, thieves grab as much as they can, and we would have seen more of it.
*shrug* My account and none of the other ones I saw robbed the same day were used recently (it had been over a month for me, I don't remember the others exactly), maybe they want to be able to get small amounts of money for awhile or maybe there was something all of us just happened to do wrong? No idea what it is. I never had problems with webwallet. Spyware in your machine or FUD?
My machine is secure, and there were at least a few thefts at the same time. I'm just looking to have whatever the problem was acknowledged and fixed (or in the off chance it was something that I did, I'd like to know what it was).
Well he has yet to show proof so who knows. A lot of people have been trying to FUD node for a while now.
What proof can I show besides the blockchain? Honestly I'd like the problem acknowledged, fixed, and to have my node returned. I know that last bit is some pretty wishful thinking, but I don't think it's too much to ask for the issue to be acknowledged. what they are trying to tell you is that there is no flaw in the code. Most likely you fell a victim of password guessing. Perhaps your password was weak and was guessed easy. If there were tens of people's accounts getting hacked then we can assume there is a bug in the code and makes the brainpassword hashes easy to cipher. Until then, there is only few cases of report of hacks. Sorry. Most likely your password was weak sauce and got guessed. You can't point your fingers to the team for a refund since you lost your coins. mind sharing your passcode? Also since the website was (still?) not secure socket then they could have fallen to a man in the middle.

XMR.TOPay any Bitcoin address. Anonymously, using Monero.Hey people, arnuschky, a friend, and I made this new service called XMR.TO. It allows you to pay any Bitcoin address in a fully anonymous fashion using Monero. Payment is nearly instant, so you can use it to pay bitpay bills, or any of your other bitcoin purchases. Have a look at the website, it explains all the details: https://xmr.toWe're still in beta. In case of problems or suggestions, don't hesitate to contact us or just reply in the dedicated thread. Any feedback of course welcome! Nice job, fellows! On an unrelated note, your first sentence is ambiguous due to "a friend". It could be interpreted either as an appositional phrase or as three in a series using a serial comma. I love grammar. I hate grammar (I quit school because of it), It is used by elitists to attempt to prove their superiority. Did I do that right? BTW Did "Unknown" get redirected to DDoSiNg Sony? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) One could consider that, but I don't intend it to be replacement, and indeed there will still be missives from core-dev as far as I know. For me, Missives and Digest serve two different purposes and increasingly two different audiences. 1+1=3 I agree 100% https://twitter.com/btercom/status/567987938341953536Uh OOh

HEY guys, when we are quoting conversations with the Image files in them please remove the [img} whatever {/img] file link. Re-posting a ton of images is just a pita to scroll by and also a load on the system if they are not locally cached as well as just cluttering up the thread. Not to mention people miss text when it's in between them, which I would guess is why my question was re-quoted and answered along with 4 images 3 times! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Definitely sarcasm, in two weeks everybody will forget and will be back on BTER paying 2x higher fees.. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) I doubt that will happen.
