12141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you leave your Bitcoins? Or convert them to Ethereum? on: June 15, 2016, 04:43:44 AM
So as everyone can see, Bitcoins and Ethereum are both shooting up in value pretty fast!!

If you have 100 Bitcoins, how will you invest them??

- Leave those Bitcoins untouched and pray to God that they will cross the $1000 mark after halving?
- Convert all Bitcoins into Ethereum? There are a lot of speculations that Ethereum may shoot up to $30-$50 range over the course of the next few weeks.
- Convert 50% of those Bitcoins to Ethereum?

Let me know your thoughts..

No, just hold all your BTC for now.  Both are still trending vs fiat.  By trading some of your BTC to ETH you are exposing yourself to more risk fiat-wise if both go down.

One rule of thumb is to go 100% BTC if it's trending.  It's the safest bet imo.

My biggest pot of the night!  Smiley

In this hand, I felt iffy 3-betting this out of position.  Also 45GARPUN45 is on the tight side, so I would hate getting 4-bet and getting it in vs AA or KK preflop, which is definitely in his range.

When AceKikr999 3-bet from the big blind, being a tight-passive player that he is, I knew for sure he had the AA.  So easy call and set mine.  Luckily I run good and binked my Q on the flop.  The rest pretty much played itself.  45GARPUN45 had 67s for trips and AceKikr999 had AA.

12143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves vs Ripple on: June 15, 2016, 12:34:41 AM
I heard Waves will be evolution of what Ripple attempted to be. Well Waves has some similarities with Ripple but seems better and less centralised. What is your take on it?

Can you make a comparison, preferably in bullet-points , on how the two are different?  It would also be nice to know how they are the same in some aspects and how one is better than the other in some features.

It's really hard to give an answer if I do not exactly know what Waves is.
12144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 15, 2016, 12:22:06 AM

Well you said that they have been too tired in Premier League, so they couldn't focused in UCL matches. So my conclusion is Premier League is more important based on your words Grin Why didnt choose to focus UCL then?

Because they are both equally important, especially for the top clubs who have a chance to win at both.  They even have difficulty on rotating the players because of the injuries of their players due to the tough league games and the CL.  And the top club owners demand winning it all.  So it's much more difficult for a club in the much tougher EPL.

In La Liga and the rest, their league fixtures are less tough.

Quote

Thats a weird reason imo, with their great squad even for their reserved players, the manager should know how to prepare his team into every tournament. Sir Alex has proved it with their great treble winner in 1998 Wink

Alex Ferguson is the exception.  He is one of the greatest football managers that ever lived.  If not, the greatest ever in our generation.

Quote

Yeah with their good sporting director, they just finished on 7th position in La Liga Smiley

That exactly explains the fact that the easier games in La Liga don't put a lot of strain on the players when they play in European tournaments.  Tottenham had a hard time balancing its players in the EPL and Europa League because they were going for both titles.

And ending up in 7th place doesn't change the fact the Andrea Berta is a good sporting director.  It's just a sh*t club who won a European tournament who no one cares about 3 years in a row.

Quote

He did it in some friendly matches and Copa America 2015 qualification games Cheesy
Yeah with his almost zero appearance in Chelsea, its weird if he still was selected for Copa America.

As I said before...  It's his knee injury.  He hasn't been back to his 100% form since that injury last January 2014.
12145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 14, 2016, 08:23:43 AM
I quit watching F1 since they switched to the V6 turbo.  To my surprise, Mercedes without Ross Brawn is dominating the field.  What exactly happened to Redbull Racing?  Is Adrian Newey still with them?
12146  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recommend me a signature campaign [AKA How to get in a sig campaign] on: June 14, 2016, 08:19:08 AM
Yup.  I finally got accepted, but I'm under probation though...  So I must be careful on my posts.  But I think it's a good thing overall as Bitcointalk has pretty much evolved from a message board to a commerce board somewhat.  The things we take for granted like reputation and quality posts really matters a lot around here.  I wish I maintained my post quality all throughout and increased the value of my account.  It's amazing how a simple forum could evolve like this all thanks to Bitcoin.

Maybe one day I ought to write a "Newbies Guide to Bitcointalk".  Smiley

Good thing about Betcoin signature is they pay rate, much much higher than bitbuku campaign, but you should post quality posts while you are wearing their signature, I see the majority of its users speak english well making it look like a really good signature with really good posters, different from the one I am in which is fully populated by persons with broken english and make it look miserable in the eyes of many. Betcoin pays monthly a really big minus compared to Yobit which pays daily, thats why I will never leave yobit even when I will be sr member and above. Better a fewer payrate per post, but steady daily payments for me.

The funny thing is now that I'm in a sig campaign, I'm more conscious about the quality of my posts and have been posting less instead of maximizing the opportunity.  I guess that's a good thing overall for me as I spend more reading than posting nonsense.  Smiley

As for people who want to get in signature campaigns, I advice you to make quality posts and add good content for the forum.  If you have any questions, just feel free to ask away in the thread.

Good luck buddy, but as you know you have a huge uphill battle ahead of you.
If you need any support send me a pm and I'll be your friend to cry to.

Hahaha.  Ok, I will do that.

And yes, I'm very much aware that the odds are stacked against me.  But I like the challenge.  Call me a masochist.  Lol.  Grin

Hey guys.  Just dropping by for a little update.  So far so good, I'm up 6.5 buy ins after three 1500 (more or less) hand sessions in 2nl.  Games are fishy and that's expected at these stakes.

I've been playing mostly TAG (tight and aggressive), nothing fancy.  I just do the standard play mostly except for a couple of spots like this one where I wanted sashka1789, who's really spazzy, in the pot instead of 4-betting the min 3-bet, thereby blowing him off.  I wanted him to 4-bet himself so we could go over the top preflop or call, see a flop and play poker...

12149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 200 Brock Lesnar Vs Mark Hunt on: June 14, 2016, 05:06:51 AM
What are the odds on this fight? I feel like Mark Hunt may be the favorite because he'e been more active and Brock Lesnar is returning. But Brock was a beast and had some awesome fights Grin

What we should be thinking about is 'How is Hunt's takedown defense vs Lesnar?'  Sure Hunt could knock him out with one punch.  But what if Lesnar catches Hunt with a double, then starts dropping bombs on him while he's on his back?  Hunt could be in for a serious beating if he's not careful.
12150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fucking Chinese! on: June 14, 2016, 12:14:25 AM
I am not agreed about the news that chinese market increasing the price of bitcoin and its indemand in chines trading exchange but there's no proof Many people are still not agreed in the news. and i believe bitcoin increased because its in demand not only chinese.. this is just because of block halving and more people are attracted to the price movement from the market.
How about you start analyzing the market and looking at all the exchanges? You will find your "proof". Why would someone believe that the general demand (interest) surged for no (apparent) reason? Also, start improving your English skills (I suggest taking a look at better use of punctuation as this was hard to read).

I wouldn't be surprised if the big miners banded together from time to time to pump BTC in order to protect they're interests and operations from collapsing due to a falling BTC price...  Or the halving, which cuts the miners' earn in half.  Ouch.
That cuts their earning in half assuming that they sell instantly. It should not be a problem for those that can hold onto these for a while. Besides, the price is getting better for 'them'. Although you make a decent point with the possibility of the miners being a contributing factor here (although we can only speculate at this point).

Yup, it's all speculation from me.  But it isn't farfetched and it is indeed possible.  We've seen these shenanigans done in the world of business from time to time.  And with the cartelization of BTC mining among the top mining farms, I wouldn't be surprised and would accept it as the reality of the Bitcoin economy.

Italy did much better than i expected but Belgium also had many chances to score a goal. the Game is going very exciting and fun.

Still i don't think Belgium will be able to make a come back. Italy will probably score another goal and secure the win. If not, we may see another 1-1 too, because like i said, Belgium is not bad, it is just not enough.

Belgium's line up is better than Italy's squad imho.  But in this game, Italy looks to be playing well and I'm happy to see either team winning.  But Belgium could still make a goal.  It ain't over til it's over.  I mean look at ENG vs RUS game...

It is over now and 2-0 for Italy, indeed Belgium has better line up but Italy has better strategy and team work. Especially their defenders Trio BBC Juventus, they played so great today. Overall, Italy played better than Belgium.

I agree.  Now I'm really looking forward for Conte to take over at Chelsea.  It should be a really interesting season in the EPL with all the good managers at the top clubs.

Maybe this recent match shows that he's capable of out smarting better teams like MCFC in the EPL.

Wow!, those fucking Chinese people are crazy - eh?  When they look through those funny slitty eyes and see dollar signs, they go nuts buying up shit.  They'll run the price through the ceiling.  Better still is watching them panic.  The way down can be twice as hostile.  At least they bring excitement to the community.  Gotta love China.  Natural born gamblers.

When you say the 'Chinese', you don't mean the ordinary people, do you? Because pumps like these are done usually by people in the know.  I wouldn't be surprised if the big miners banded together from time to time to pump BTC in order to protect they're interests and operations from collapsing due to a falling BTC price...  Or the halving, which cuts the miners' earn in half.  Ouch.

Yet another huge milestone for Bitcoin Wink

I'm honestly more scared when BTC starts doing quick parabolical rises.  We all already know how this is all going to end up.  We've seen it again and again with BTC itself and all the other altcoins time and time again.  We've even also seen it happen to stocks and commodities.

I'd prefer it if BTC started doing a slow, quiet and steady rise.  This current rise looks like it's being played and manipulated.

12155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 13, 2016, 07:14:20 PM
Of course it is.  Tough league matches make the players even more tired in CL fixtures.  This is a known fact.

On Sevilla that doesn't mean it is any better than some of the EPL teams, and yes the less tough fixtures sure did help them.  Imagine if Sevilla was part of the EPL...  They would have tired players going into European competition.

On Falcao, he was sidelined during the World Cup because of the said knee injury.  It keeps recurring, but keeps telling the media that his new injury isn't connected with his knee but a minor muscular one.  But that's waht they all say to maintain their value in the transfer market.
In other words, you just saying that Premier League is more important than European tournament right? Grin

No.  Now why would I say that?  Although I think they are both equally important.  All the top clubs want to win both the league and thr CL plus also their cup games.

Quote

Why didnt they play better in UCL instead of Premier League, which if you can win UCL's title, so you dont need to reach big 4 to qualify next UCL?

As I told you, the tougher league games in the EPL put a strain on their players more compared to other leagues.

Quote

Well, you should know Sevila played two finals in Copa Del Rey and Europa League, even the gap between both final was short. Liverpool didnt have any other match beside Premier League at the moment.

Sevilla has a better team built.  They have a good sporting director in Andrea Berta.  It's quite a feat what they did in winning the Europa League 3 times in a row.  But no one really cares for the Europa League though.  Grin

Quote

Yeah, Falcao with his injured knee became all time top scorer for Colombia, it still amazing imo Cool

What year and in what tournament?  As far as I know he was sidelined for the 2014 WorldCup due to the knee injury he had while he was at Monaco.  He wasn't able to get back in form at United due to that same injury, and when he went to Chelsea the following season it was the same story.

Now that he's back at Monaco, we'll see how he performs.  I hope he does well as he is one of my favorite players since his Porto days under Villas Boas.

Edit:  And he wasn't selected for Coppa America.
12156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 13, 2016, 01:38:19 PM
Germany has lost 1 - 3 two weeks ago, but I think they have recovered already as shown in their 2 - 0 victory last week. Considering that, I have made a Germany -1 bet @ 1.945.

Germany has a lot more ball possession (63% vs 37%) and shot attempts (18 vs 7) than Ukraine, and has won the game 2 - 0 fairly easily.

As expected...  Germany has arguably the best line up in this tournament.  Gotze up front, with Ozil behind  and Draxler and Mueller at the wings.  Lot's of good options for Ozil.  I wonder why Wenger uses him at the left wing some of the time.  He's better at the middle behind the striker.

And France's squad is a close second.
12157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Soccer Transfer Market 2016/2017 ! on: June 13, 2016, 12:39:03 PM
I hope that Zlatan is going to help Man utd back on top because they were not doing that well last season. Man utd is inevsting in more players like they did last year but that did not workout.

I don't think Mourinho is really keen on getting Zlatan signed at United.  I think the real reason he went to Paris was to scout and watch Verrati which seems like another option if they cannot sign Pogba.
12158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 13, 2016, 11:43:51 AM
When Falcao moved to Manchester United , I thought he could be the next big things because he is doing really good in Atletico Madrid and Monaco
But I don't know why he didn't do well enough in English club , maybe he didn't get enough play times.Really sad that such a talented player don't shine anymore , at least for me he is super talented .
It's ironic when in 2013 he became top scorer for Monaco, and the next season in Man United, he played bad, even he was played by LvG in Reserved U-21 team. Lately, some news said he will back to Monaco, hope he will find his best performance again.

Again, he had a serious knee injury at Monaco.  And yet he was still signed on loan by LVG at United.  That wasn't a wise move as after the knee injury, Falcao never came back in form.  And that knee injury could be recurring according to rumors.

Falcao knee injury article here:  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/colombia/10591903/Radamel-Falcao-ruled-out-of-2014-World-Cup-after-suffering-knee-injury-while-playing-for-Monaco.html
12159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 13, 2016, 11:38:51 AM
One big reason why EPL teams have a hard time getting to the semi finals in the CL is because their league games are already very tough.  Their cup games are also tough towards the end.  Top clubs from La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Serie A find it easier to get to the semis because they're leagues are so damn easy and relaxing for them.

Edit:  And on the topic of Falcao...  During 2014 (the same time he was with United) he appeared for Colombia only 3 times and scored only 1 goal.

I dont think the tough competition could be a reason why they played bad in European tournament, there was Sevilla as a not big team in Spain and struggling in La Liga, could won Europa League, even 3 times in a row. Sir Alex has proven that Man United could went to UCL final few times with tough competition in Premier League. So, I dont think the tough competition as the problem why Premier League team bad in UCL.

While he was a Man United player in 2014/15 season, if I'm not mistaken he has made 5 goals, even he broke the record of Arnoldo Iguarán and became the all time Colombian top scorer. Unfortunately he played bad in Copa America and his position replaced to Jackson Martinez.

clearly the proven reason why Falcao does not shine at Manchester United because the coach prefers young players and it made him only able to watch on the bench without being able to develop his talents in the field to prove that he is a great player. the best decision for him is moving from Manchester United

I don't think so.  LVG resorted to playing the younger players not by design but by necessity.  He had no choice, they had a lot of injuries.  Good thing Rashford clicked.
